为了实现多波长激光输出,提出了一种改进的多波长主动锁模光纤环形激光器,采用集成级联采样光纤光栅进入激光腔形成稳定的多种波长激光的方法,进行了理论分析和实验验证。结果表明,双环形腔结构对于所有波长激光,其腔长度是一致的,从而可以用相同的锁模信号实现所有波长的同步锁模。实验中光纤环形激光器成功实现了以1.6nm为间隔的波长多达14个;它的输出功率大于0dBm,边模抑制比约30dB,最高模式锁模频率为1.05GHz,输出脉冲序列的脉宽是216ps。这一结果对光纤传输系统设计是有帮助的。 相似文献

设计了一种基于环形腔的双倍布里渊频移间隔的可调谐光纤激光器实验装置。 该实验装置由一个3 dB耦合器、一台可调谐激光源(TLS)、一台980 nm泵浦和一个实现双倍布里渊频移环形腔构成。该结构耦合输出偶数阶Stokes光,从而实现间隔约为20 GHz或0.16 nm的多波长输出。并研究了980 nm泵浦光和BP光功率对输出偶数阶Stokes光波数的影响。当980 nm 泵浦功率固定为26 dBm(400 mW),BP功率为10 dBm时,获得了间隔为0.16 nm的11个稳定激光输出以及36 nm(1530~1566 nm)的可调谐范围。 相似文献

为了获得具有超窄波长间隔的稳定多波长输出,设 计并实验验证了一种基于非线性偏振旋转(NPR)效应及NOLM的多波长SOA光纤激光器。利用 SOA的NPR效应,将SOA与其他偏振器件组合引起强度相关损耗(IDL)效应,从而抑制SOA均 匀加宽线宽内的模式竞争,实现稳定的多波长输出。Lyot-sagnac滤波器作为波长选择器件 ,选用71 m长保偏光纤(PMF)得到超窄波长间隔。另外NOLM作为功率 均衡器进一步抑制了模式竞争效应并且实现了功率均衡,提高了边模抑制比(SMSR)。通过调 节偏振控制器(PCs),最终在室温下实现了稳定且功率均衡的多波长输出,10 dB带宽内输出的波长数量为184,波长间隔为0.08 nm,SMSR高达22 dB。该激光器可作为DWDM光通信系统 中的光源。 相似文献

We propose a new concept to produce switchable multiwavelength oscillations with a cascaded fiber Bragg grating overlapping cavity erbium-doped fiber laser. The laser can be designed to operate in multiwavelength or in wavelength switching modes. The different lines have different thresholds. For three-wavelength oscillation, the output powers are linear or piecewise linear functions of the input pump power. An output with a variation of only 1.5 dB has been achieved with an input pump power of 100 mW. Simultaneous continuous-wave multiwavelength operation of a Raman fiber laser is demonstrated with sampled Bragg grating (SBG) at room temperature. The characteristics of multiwavelength fiber ring laser can be easily controlled by adjusting the parameters of the SBG, including the sampling period and the sampling length. In the proposed fiber laser, stable four oscillating wavelengths with 100- and 50-GHz spacing has been achieved, respectively, as well as five oscillating ones with a wavelength spacing of only 25 GHz by varying the sampling period of the SBG. 相似文献

This paper presents an experimental study on the dynamics of Raman fiber lasers that use highly GeO/sub 2/-doped fibers as an active medium and a dual-wavelength (1060 and 1090 nm) Nd/sup 3+/-doped fiber laser as a pump source. The 1090-nm pump wavelength is located within the SiO/sub 2/ Raman gain spectrum relating to the 1060-nm pump wavelength, and competition is observed between Raman amplification of the 1090-nm emission with the 1060-nm emission used as the pump source and Raman lasing, which is independent of the 1090-nm amplification and which is also uses the 1060-nm emission as the pump source. Several pump configurations have been demonstrated to generate specific Stokes emissions generated through Raman lasing or amplification. Changing the gain-to-loss ratio by introducing intracavity loss of Raman emissions or increasing the Raman fiber length within each configuration can force either Raman amplification or lasing to dominate. The maximum slope efficiency as a function of the launched pump power was /spl sim/55% with a total output power of 1.6 W produced. A red shift of both the pump and the Stokes wavelengths is experimentally observed when the launched diode pump power is scaled up. 相似文献

由于半导体激光泵浦碱金属蒸气激光器(DPAL)的饱和增益较大,因此采用主振荡功率放大器(MOPA)结构对其进行定标放大是实现其高功率化的理想选择。基于端面泵浦DPAL-MOPA系统的微观动力学理论模型设计了铷蒸气DPAL的三级放大系统。另外,分别对长度为3、5、7 cm的三种密闭蒸气池在不同温度条件下的增益特性做了详细的计算与分析,最终确定预放大级的密闭蒸气池长度为3 cm,一级主放大级的为5 cm,二级主放大级的为7 cm。基于这种三级MOPA结构可把功率为50 mW的铷蒸气DPAL种子光放大至1 000 W量级。同时,也评估了采用此设计方案时,整个MOPA系统所产生的自发辐射功率和热功率。该研究对将来实现高功率DPAL提供了设计思路和理论依据。 相似文献

The authors investigate the optical bistability in an L-band dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber (EDF) laser with overlapping cavities. The bistable input-output hysteresis behavior of the two lasing wavelengths evolves in antiphase. The bistable region is tens of milliwatts wide. The bistability is essentially due to the homogeneous saturable absorption of EDF. The cross-gain saturation causes the bistabilities of the two lasing lines to evolve in antiphase with respect to each other. The gain clamping effect helps to widen the bistable region, which may be controlled by the cavity loss and by the EDF length. 相似文献

A switchable and tunable multi-wavelength Brillouin erbium-doped fiber laser (MWBEFL) is designed and experimentally demonstrated. A Sagnac loop filter is employed as the switcher to obtain the double Brillouin frequency shift (BFS) of 0.172 nm (~20 GHz) and the quadruple BFS of 0.35 nm (~40 GHz). The working principles of the proposed laser are theoretically analyzed. The experimental results show that up to 8 Stokes lines with a wavelength interval of 0.172 nm can be obtained. When the Sagnac loop filter is used, two different output spectra with wavelength interval of 0.35 nm are obtained by adjusting the polarization controller (PC) and the optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) is greater than 33 dB. By adjusting the Brillouin pump (BP) wavelength to investigate the tunability of the fiber laser, the output of 2—5 laser channels can be realized corresponding to 20 nm wavelength range. This approach is simple and can be employed for the microwave generation of other frequency ranges subject to the filtering shift of the Sagnac loop. 相似文献

Characteristics of stimulated Brillouin and Raman scatterings (SBS and SRS) in a Q-switched cladding-pumped ytterbium (Yb)-doped fiber laser are experimentally investigated. A stable SBS pulse train with a width of ∼2 ns and a peak power of ∼1.0 kW can be generated in regular Q-switching processes under certain conditions. The time jitter and intensity fluctuation of SBS pulses are presented, and their mechanism and statistics are discussed. The accompanied Raman–Stokes waves in regular Q-switched pulses and SBS pulses are quantitatively compared. 相似文献

We construct a novel nested linear cavity configuration to generate supercontinuum (SC) under continuous-wave pump. With this structure, stimulated Raman scattering and four-wave mixing can affect the whole region of the SC spectrum while the pump line is removed outside of the continuum, and a symmetrical spectrum can be obtained. The properties of the structure are demonstrated by using 3.5-km single-mode fiber, and an SC centered at 1315 nm with the bandwith of 102 nm and the output power of 1.3 W is achieved. By tuning the feedback fiber Bragg grating, we can easily adjust the spectral shape of SC to fit different requirement. 相似文献
