Screwdown load deviation threatens rolling mill safety and product quality. The contact between a 5?m rolling mill screwdown device and the back-up roll (BUR) bearing chock was simplified to a fixed hinge constraint, and the constraint of the keeper plates on the BUR bearing chock was simplified to a sliding hinge constraint. According to the BUR space force and moment equilibrium, a screwdown load deviation model affected by the BUR axial force was used to simulate the effect of the roll crossing degree on the screwdown load deviation. Screwdown load deviations were calculated for three rolling passes. The results are more consistent with the data than outputs calculated by a model that neglects axial force. Assumptions about the relationship between the load deviation and the work roll axial forces agree with the data. The results show that the BUR axial force causes a dynamic deviation of the screwdown load.  相似文献

The behavior of Young’s modulus, E, was determined in aluminum alloys such as AA7075 and AA2024 at room temperature under various thermomechanical treatments. E was almost 2 pct (AA7075) and 3 pct (AA2024) lower for these materials after solution heat treatment and quenching than after annealing. When the aging time was increased, values of E tended to approach the annealing values. The variation observed was attributed to structural changes during the thermal treatments. However, when the alloys were cold deformed before or after aging, no appreciable changes in E were observed. This behavior is quite different to that observed in cold-worked pure aluminum (and also in pure iron), in which E decreased to a minimum (7 to 10 pct reduction in values) and then partially recovered with additional cold working. The variation in behavior with cold working observed in a pure material and other materials that contain a second phase with nanometric precipitates was correlated with the density of dislocations and the length of the dislocation segments generated during the cold working process.  相似文献

The neutralised zinc sulfate solution obtained from hydrometallurgical process of Angouran zinc concentrate has cadmium, nickel and cobalt impurities that must be purified before electrowinning. Therefore, cadmium and nickel are usually cemented out by addition of zinc dust under cold purification conditions. The present research aims to introduce a new technique for determination of effective parameters and optimisation of zinc electrolyte cold purification process using statistical design of experiments. The Taguchi’s method, based on orthogonal array design (OAD), was used to arrange the experiments. The experimental conditions addressed in the study were: the temperature range of 45–65°C for reaction temperature (T), one to five series for zinc dust particle size distributions (S), 15–75 min for reaction time (t), 1–2?5 g L?1 for zinc powder concentration (M), and 200–600 rev min?1 (R) for stirring speed. Optimum conditions for cold purification obtained in this study were T4 (60°C), S1 (series 1), t3 (45 min), M5 (2?5 g L?1), and R1 (200 rev min?1).

La solution neutralisée de sulfate de zinc, obtenue à partir du procédé d’hydrométallurgie du concentré de zinc provenant d’Angouran, contient des impuretés de cadmium, de nickel et de cobalt que l’on doit purifier avant l’extraction électrolytique. Habituellement, on extrait le cadmium et le nickel par cémentation par addition de poudre de zinc sous des conditions de purification à froid. La recherche actuelle a pour but d’introduire une nouvelle technique pour la détermination des paramètres efficaces et pour l’optimisation du procédé de purification à froid de l’électrolyte de zinc en utilisant un plan d’expérience statistique. On a utilisé la méthode de Taguchi, basée sur un concept d’arrangement orthogonal (OAD), pour planifier les expériences. Les conditions expérimentales examinées dans l’étude incluaient la gamme de température de 45 à 65°C pour la température de réaction (T), une série d’une à cinq distributions de taille de particule de la poudre de zinc (S), de 15 à 75 min pour le temps de réaction (t), de 1 à 2?5 g L?1 pour la concentration de la poudre de zinc (M) et de 200 à 600 rpm (R) pour la vitesse d’agitation. In an attempt to check the suitability of Flory’s approach for assessing the miscibility gap in binary monotectic systems, Zn-Bi has been chosen. Using Flory’s approach for the liquid phase and experimental data for the existing solid phases, the computer generated phase diagram locates the monotectic point at 689.5 K (416.5 °C) and 0.6 at. % Bi. In this study, the authors examined the extent to which children’s self-regulation upon kindergarten entrance and classroom quality in kindergarten contributed to children’s adaptive classroom behavior. Children’s self-regulation was assessed using a direct assessment upon entrance into kindergarten. Classroom quality was measured on the basis of multiple classroom observations during the kindergarten year. Children’s adaptive classroom behavior in kindergarten was assessed through teacher report and classroom observations: Teachers rated children’s cognitive and behavioral self-control and work habits during the spring of the kindergarten year; observers rated children’s engagement and measured off-task behavior at 2-month intervals from November to May. Hierarchical linear models revealed that children’s self-regulation upon school entry in a direct assessment related to teachers’ report of behavioral self-control, cognitive self-control, and work habits in the spring of the kindergarten year. Classroom quality, particularly teachers’ effective classroom management, was linked to children’s greater behavioral and cognitive self-control, children’s higher behavioral engagement, and less time spent off-task in the classroom. Classroom quality did not moderate the relation between children’s self-regulation upon school entry and children’s adaptive classroom behaviors in kindergarten. The discussion considers the implications of classroom management for supporting children’s early development of behavioral skills that are important in school settings. The author focuses on a particular type of countertransference with children—the emergence of the therapist’s childhood memories and experiences in child psychotherapy. The revival of these childhood recollections in the analyst is not a barrier or sign of pathology as previously held, but rather in some cases a vital resource that may potentially deepen and facilitate analytic work. The therapist’s memory and attendant fantasies, physical/sensory experience, and affect states in the context of the childhood memory may afford the analyst the opportunity to not only make contact with his or her “self” as a child, but also to further symbolize these states of mind and use them in the exploration of the child patient’s mind. Through intersubjective exchanges with the patient, the analyst’s childhood memories are given new meaning in the context of the therapeutic work with the child patient. The author highlights the uniqueness of countertransference with children as compared with adults. A detailed clinical vignette is presented, organized around the arrival of a memory from the analyst’s childhood and how the analyst made use of it in the transference/countertransference field. The assessment of children’s perception of marital conflict is an important area of research related to family relations, children’s cognitions about self, and the development of psychopathology. The leading instrument in this domain is the Children’s Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale (CPIC; J. H. Grych, M. Seid, & F. D. Fincham, 1992). It has 48 items organized into 9 conceptual designed subscales, with reports of 3-factor higher order structure to the 9 subscales. However, the 3-factor solution does not capture all 9 subscales well. Further, items have never been subjected to factor analysis to evaluate the best fitting factor structure at the item level. Doing so is particularly important when bringing the scale into new populations such as children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or disruptive behavior disorders. In the present study, 2 samples of children (total N = 1,190; ages 6–18 years) completed the CPIC. An exploratory factor analysis in Sample 1 (from a clinical study of ADHD and non-ADHD youths) yielded 4 interpretable factors. A confirmatory factor analysis in Sample 2 (a population sample of twins) confirmed the generalizability of the solution with an acceptable fit, although 1 item was dropped. The final solution used 38 of the 48 items. The 4-factor solution captured a Conflict Properties factor, two appraisal factors labeled Threat to Self and Self-Blame, and a Triangulation/Stability factor that included elements of appraisal and content. The enforcement of a contractor’s notice of delays and claims as “a condition precedent” to a contractor’s claims is a controversial issue among practitioners, researchers, and legal scholars. Strict enforcement or liberal interpretations (no enforcement) of time limit for a contractor’s notice have some implications for the success of projects and for the construction industry. This paper examines and compares the different views regarding enforceability of notice provisions. The paper evaluates those views and thereafter proposes an alternative contractual approach for dealing with a contractor’s noncompliance with the provision. The applicability of the proposed approach is evaluated vis-à-vis legal principles. The proposed approach appears to be practical and equitable. It could facilitate early resolution of disputes relating to notice. It could also make the outcome of notice-related dispute more predictable. Considering the contractual, legal, and practical problems that could arise from a strict enforcement and a liberal interpretation (no enforcement) of time limit for a contractor’s notice, the paper highlights the benefits of the proposed approach to the employers (project owners), contractors, and the construction industry at large.  相似文献
