A novel color image segmentation method using tensor voting based color clustering is proposed. By using tensor voting, the number of dominant colors in a color image can be estimated efficiently. Furthermore, the centroids and structures of the color clusters in the color feature space can be extracted. In this method, the color feature vectors are first encoded by second order, symmetric, non-negative definite tensors. These tensors then communicate with each other by a voting process. The resulting tensors are used to determine the number of clusters, locations of the centroids, and structures of the clusters used for performing color clustering. Our method is based on tensor voting, a non-iterative method, and requires only the voting range as its input parameter. The experimental results show that the proposed method can estimate the dominant colors and generate good segmented images in which those regions having the same color are not split up into small parts and the objects are separated well. Therefore, the proposed method is suitable for many applications, such as dominant colors estimation and multi-color text image segmentation.  相似文献

Feature detection of triangular meshes via neighbor supporting   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We propose a robust method for detecting features on triangular meshes by combining normal tensor voting with neighbor supporting. Our method contains two stages: feature detection and feature refinement. First, the normal tensor voting method is modified to detect the initial features, which may include some pseudo features. Then, at the feature refinement stage, a novel salient measure deriving from the idea of neighbor supporting is developed. Benefiting from the integrated reliable salient measure feature, pseudo features can be effectively discriminated from the initially detected features and removed. Compared to previous methods based on the differential geometric property, the main advantage of our method is that it can detect both sharp and weak features. Numerical experiments show that our algorithm is robust, effective, and can produce more accurate results. We also discuss how detected features are incorporated into applications, such as feature-preserving mesh denoising and hole-filling, and present visually appealing results by integrating feature information.  相似文献

针对传统的基于Kruppa方程摄像机自标定算法的欠鲁棒性,首次提出将鲁棒的张量投票算法用于摄像机自标定方法中。利用基于尺度不变的SIFT算法查找并匹配出每对图像的特征点,其中待匹配图像由摄像机对同一场景从三个不同角度位置拍摄,对图像张量投票后按棒张量特征值降序排序,由此筛选得到具有鲁棒性边缘特征的前八对特征点,利用八点算法求解相应的基础矩阵和极点,根据Kruppa方程和三维重建(SFM)算法求得摄像机参数矩阵。实验结果证明,该方法具有较高标定精度,并通过加入高斯噪声的仿真实验证明该算法是一种鲁棒的摄像机自标定方法。  相似文献

This paper presents a topological approach to improve the quality of unstructured triangular finite element meshes. Topological improvement procedures are presented both for elements that are interior to the mesh and for elements connected to the boundary. Optimal ordering of the topology improvement operations and their efficient implementation is also discussed. Several example meshes are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach in improving element quality in a finite element mesh.  相似文献

This paper presents a new method for edge-preserving color image denoising based on the tensor voting framework, a robust perceptual grouping technique used to extract salient information from noisy data. The tensor voting framework is adapted to encode color information through tensors in order to propagate them in a neighborhood by using a specific voting process. This voting process is specifically designed for edge-preserving color image denoising by taking into account perceptual color differences, region uniformity and edginess according to a set of intuitive perceptual criteria. Perceptual color differences are estimated by means of an optimized version of the CIEDE2000 formula, while uniformity and edginess are estimated by means of saliency maps obtained from the tensor voting process. Measurements of removed noise, edge preservation and undesirable introduced artifacts, additionally to visual inspection, show that the proposed method has a better performance than the state-of-the-art image denoising algorithms for images contaminated with CCD camera noise.  相似文献

We study the method of Sun et al. for edge detection based on the Law of Universal Gravity. We analyze the effect of the substitution of the product operation by other triangular norms in the calculation of the gravitational forces. We treat edges as fuzzy sets for which membership degrees are extracted from the resulting gravitational force on each pixel. We consider several prototypical triangular norms and experimentally show that their features determine the kind of edges detected. The new method is tested on the Berkeley Segmentation Dataset, showing to be competitive compared to the Canny method.  相似文献

When scanning an object using a 3D laser scanner, the collected scanned point cloud is usually contaminated by numerous measurement outliers. These outliers can be sparse outliers, isolated or non-isolated outlier clusters. The non-isolated outlier clusters pose a great challenge to the development of an automatic outlier detection method since such outliers are attached to the scanned data points from the object surface and difficult to be distinguished from these valid surface measurement points. This paper presents an effective outlier detection method based on the principle of majority voting. The method is able to detect non-isolated outlier clusters as well as the other types of outliers in a scanned point cloud. The key component is a majority voting scheme that can cut the connection between non-isolated outlier clusters and the scanned surface so that non-isolated outliers become isolated. An expandable boundary criterion is also proposed to remove isolated outliers and preserve valid point clusters more reliably than a simple cluster size threshold. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been validated by comparing with several existing methods using a variety of scanned point clouds.  相似文献

针对颜色密度聚类分割模型容易产生误分割的问题,提出基于视觉显著性调节的主颜色聚类分割算法.首先,根据空间颜色信息和Mean-shift算法平滑结果分别计算图像的全局显著特征和区域显著特征,并融合2类显著特征作为特征空间聚类的约束项.然后,采用核密度估计方法计算图像主颜色作为初始类,并将显著特征作为调节因子进行聚类分割.最后,进行区域合并.在标准的分割图像库上进行实验并与多种算法对比,结果表明,文中算法具有更高的区域轮廓准确度,并且有效利用图像显著特征,降低密度聚类形成的区域不一致性,提高像素聚类的精度和分割的鲁棒性.  相似文献

NC milling simulation has become an important step in computer aided manufacturing (CAM). To achieve real-time simulation, the total number of polygons has to be reduced, which results in poor image quality. This paper presents an adaptive triangular mesh algorithm to reduce the number of polygons while image quality remains high. Binary tree is used to represent the milling surface, and the optimization of the mesh is performed dynamically in the process of simulation. In this algorithm, the resolution of triangles is automatically updated according to local surface flatness, thus greatly reducing the number of triangles at planar regions. By doing this, real-time and high quality of visual presentation is insured and the translation, rotation and zooming operations are still applicable. When machining precision is evaluated, or overcut, undercut and interference are inspected, full resolution model stored in memory is automatically loaded to ensure the accuracy and correctness of these inspections. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the validity of proposed algorithm.  相似文献

为了简化数值模拟中三角形网格模型之间的接触问题,设计了在接触面上生成一致性三角形网格的算法,基本步骤为构造网格拓扑关系、搜索重叠网格、完善重叠网格、拷贝网格、修补边界空隙。采用面向配对顶点的搜索方法、点投影的判定方法、基于边界环的孔洞搜索方法,准确地确定了接触区域,利用最短对角线的方法修补了边界空隙,较好地生成了一致性网格,并采用三轴分块排序表提高了效率。实验结果表明,该算法准确、高效地实现了接触面上网格的一致性。  相似文献

3维模型的数字水印是数字水印研究的热点之一,鲁棒性、嵌入可读性水印和盲检测是3维模型数字水印的难点所在。从增强3维模型数字水印的鲁棒性出发,提出一种基于局部几何空间的3维模型数字水印算法,它以模型三角网格顶点在其一环邻居顶点为所确定的局部几何空间;通过改变顶点在局部几何空间中的位置来嵌入水印,并以调整其间的夹角来嵌入水印序列的索引,而调整顶点与圆心的距离来嵌入较高比特的二进制数值。本文算法在水印检测时,无需原始模型,且可抵抗平移、旋转、均匀缩放、顶点乱序、剪切及网格简化等攻击。实验结果表明, 该水印算法具有很好的鲁棒性、可读水印的不可感知性和盲水印检测的优势。  相似文献

CrackTree: Automatic crack detection from pavement images   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Pavement cracks are important information for evaluating the road condition and conducting the necessary road maintenance. In this paper, we develop CrackTree, a fully-automatic method to detect cracks from pavement images. In practice, crack detection is a very challenging problem because of (1) low contrast between cracks and the surrounding pavement, (2) intensity inhomogeneity along the cracks, and (3) possible shadows with similar intensity to the cracks. To address these problems, the proposed method consists of three steps. First, we develop a geodesic shadow-removal algorithm to remove the pavement shadows while preserving the cracks. Second, we build a crack probability map using tensor voting, which enhances the connection of the crack fragments with good proximity and curve continuity. Finally, we sample a set of crack seeds from the crack probability map, represent these seeds by a graph model, derive minimum spanning trees from this graph, and conduct recursive tree-edge pruning to identify desirable cracks. We evaluate the proposed method on a collection of 206 real pavement images and the experimental results show that the proposed method achieves a better performance than several existing methods.  相似文献

针对三角网格提出了一种基于NURBS曲面拟合的计算Gauss曲率和平均曲率的算法。首先选取边界检测后的二阶邻点作为局部拟合数据,采用直接投影法实现参数化,由二次NURBS曲面进行最小平方拟合反算控制点矩阵,最后由拟合曲面计算曲率。并从三角网格分辨率和噪声两方面进行了比较,实验结果表明本文算法精度高、较其他算法稳定,因而更具通用性。  相似文献

小波变换具有良好的时频分析特性,而且具有较快的算法特点,同时还能起到降维的作用。张量主成分分析方法用于人耳识别能获得比PCA方法更高的识别率。综合利用这两个算法的优点,提出了一种新的人耳识别方法,对人耳图像先采用小波变换做预处理得到4个子带图像,然后对每个子带图像用张量PCA进行特征提取,最后利用最近邻的方法实现人耳图像识别。实验结果表明,利用此方法与只用主成分分析识别相比,提高了识别率。  相似文献

在入侵检测建模过程中,特征提取是一个重要的步骤。特征提取有利干提高入侵检测的效率和准确性,好的特征可以在特征空间提供完美的分类独立性。但在以往的入侵检测模型评估中,对原始数据的特征提取并没有涉及提取的标准和原则。文章利用KDD数据集,针对不同种类的网络入侵攻击,使用经典聚类算法对特征提取的特征类别进行比较,以获取该领域的知识。  相似文献

Novelty detection is a pattern recognition technique used when there is one well characterized normal state and the abnormal (or novel) states are poorly described because of lack of data. Data deficiency of these states may arise due to cost and difficulty in measuring them - e.g. failed equipment states in equipment health monitoring. Normal pattern recognition techniques have a wide array of methods for reducing the number of features initially employed to characterize classes. These techniques are of limited use in novelty detection primarily because they are focused on representing the data accurately in a subspace rather than on finding a subspace where the classes can easily be discriminated, or they are optimized to distinguish between all classes rather than on focusing on distinguishing solely between normal and abnormal classes. The proposed methodology will enable feature extraction in unbalanced classification problems where the well-sampled normal data is expected to be orbited by the under-sampled fault data. The technique will be demonstrated to work well with artificial and actual machinery health data.  相似文献
