Four full-scale reinforced concrete (RC) columns with L-shaped cross-sections, four full-scale RC columns with T-shaped cross-sections, three full-scale RC columns with +-shaped cross-sections, and one full-scale RC column with a square cross-section were experimentally investigated for fire resistance following the ISO834 standard heating process. The effects of axial load ratio and fire exposure condition on failure mode, axial deformation and fire resistance of the columns were analyzed. The experimental results showed that: (a) when the axial load ratio is 0.55, the fire resistances of the columns with L-, T-, and +-shaped cross-sections subjected to fire on all sides were 60–73% that of the column with the square cross-section. (b) In the case of samples subjected to fire on all sides, the fire resistance of columns with differently-shaped cross-sections increased in the following order: L-shaped cross-section <T-shaped cross-section <+-shaped cross-section. A computer program RCSSCF was developed to calculate temperature, deformation, and fire resistance of the loaded columns with L-, T-, and +-shaped cross-sections. The results of the numerical simulation were compared with those of the full-scale fire resistance tests. 相似文献

This paper reviews the fire problem in critical transportation infrastructures such as bridges and tunnels. The magnitude of the fire problem is illustrated, and the recent increase in fire problems in bridges and tunnels is highlighted. Recent research undertaken to address fire problems in transportation structures is reviewed, as well as critical factors governing the performance of those structures. Furthermore, key strategies recommended for mitigating fire hazards in bridges and tunnels are presented, and their applicability to practical situations is demonstrated through a practical case study. Furthermore, research needs and emerging trends for enhancing the “state-of-the-art” in this area are discussed. 相似文献

概述了目前已有的探测不同火灾特征信号的各种火灾探测器,通过分析其特点总结出适用于隧道火灾探测的探测器类型,分类阐述常用的隧道火灾探测器原理,详细研究各种探测器在隧道这一特殊环境中的使用情况,归纳各种隧道火灾探测器使用的隧道,为隧道用火灾探测器的选型提供参考。对两种主流探测器(线型光纤火灾探测器和点型双波长火焰探测器)的性能进行了分析比较。在总结目前隧道用火灾探测器的发展趋势并综合各种探测器在隧道中使用时的优点与缺陷的基础上,提出了实现火灾早期预警方案的一种设想。 相似文献

Modeling Pore Pressure, Moisture, and Temperature in High-Strength Concrete Columns Exposed to Fire 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A mathematical and computational model to stimulate a two-dimensional thermal response of high-strength concrete columns subjected to fire is presented. Contours as well as history and distribution profiles for temperature, moisture content, and pore pressure are illustrated as model output. The model's predictions are validated against ASTM E119 fire test data from a high-strength concrete (HSC) column test and are subsequently compared to output based on a hydrocarbon pool fire (ASTM E1529) exposure. The model's handling of input fires other than ASTM E119 demonstrates its usefulness and adaptability to a performance-based design environment. Results from parametric studies reveal the importance of performing thermophysical material property tests under fire exposures similar to those at which full-scale specimens are to be tested. The influence of size effects on data obtained from small- and large-scale fire test programs is discussed. 相似文献

Readymade garments are the most important export item from Bangladesh, yet the working conditions and fire safety records in the factories are often not up to the standard. Despite a number of initiatives to curb fire accidents in the garment industry, there are still a significant number of fire occurrences in this industry. Unfortunately, there is no comprehensive statistics on the current status of fire provisions and management practices in the readymade garment factories in Bangladesh. Given the management practices (soft issues) are often as important as structural fire safety measures, yet difficult to regulate, this paper develops a fire risk index (FRI), the first of its kind in Bangladesh, for soft parameters in the garment industry. FRI for 60 random garment factories are developed through surprise inspections to understand the current status of fire risk due to inadequacies in the soft parameters. Results show that the mean FRI is 2.8 on a scale of 5.0, which indicates an alarming condition. Locked exit doors, lack of emergency announcement system and lack of fire drills are the three worst performers among the 24 investigated parameters and require immediate attention from the regulators and stakeholders. We also observed a U-shaped relationship between FRI and factory size. Factories that are members of the industry’s trade lobby generally have better fire safety practices than the non-members. Given the importance of the readymade garment sector in many developing countries, poor fire safety record and lack of information on fire safety, our approach of developing an FRI for the industry can be very useful to understand the immediate concerns and thus to curb fatalities and injuries from fire accidents in this sector. 相似文献

本文为了得到火灾中不同材料结构的整体耐火性能,分别研究了钢管混凝土和纯钢材两种整体结构.对于钢管混凝土框架结构,分析了其在火灾条件下的整体耐火性能、钢管混凝土构件在实际边界约束条件下及不同受火面对其耐火性能的影响,在此基础上对今后结构体系的防火性能设计提出了意见和建议.对于轻钢整体结构,则以雅致公司提供的三种集成房屋为依据,用有限元理论分析了四种荷载组合情况下,集成房屋在火荷载情况下的承载力与变形,得到集成房屋的使用耐火极限和破坏情况,提出了改进办法和设计建议.并在四川国家防火建筑材料质量监督检测中心进行的岩棉夹心板耐火试验基础上,应用有限元理论分析了岩棉彩钢夹心板耐火性能,并研究了不同耐火性能板材的岩棉夹心板和EPS夹心板的框架结构在实际应用中的整体耐火性能. 相似文献
