A new expression for the average bit-error rate (BER) of differential quadrature phase-shift keying in slow frequency-nonselective Nakagami fading is derived for a space-diversity receiver having a cascade arrangement of L groups of M-branch selection combiners and an L-branch maximal-ratio combiner (MRC). This allows the use of a large number of antennas, for performance improvement, and a small number of M inputs to the combiners, for low complexity. The average BER performance of the cascade receiver is investigated for different fading severity conditions characterized by the Nakagami m factor, and compared with the conventional MRC receiver. As the fading gets less severe (m increases), performance improvement over the conventional MRC scheme is only noticeable for the larger range of average signal-to-noise ratio.  相似文献

本文设计了使用CMOS工艺,单片集成的L波段数字声广播(DAB)接收机模拟前端.接收机前端应用了三种方法来提高镜像抑制度:低中频双正交weaver结构比一般的同相/正交(I/Q)两路下变频结构具有更高的镜像抑制能力;镜像抑制低噪声放大器(LNA)提供了额外的镜像信号抑制;具有相位和幅度校正功能的本振驱动器提供了更精确的正交本振信号.仿真显示接收机前端对镜像信号的抑制超过65dB,其级联噪声指数为4dB,输出三阶交调指数为22dBm.接收机前端使用TSMC 0.25μm CMOS工艺制作,版图核心面积为9mm2,目前正在测试中.  相似文献

在确定频点参数的情况下,采用信道化接收机能够准确高效地实现对跳频信号的接收,其中树形结构接收机既保证信道间具有一定独立性,同时结构灵活。将该结构应用于战术目标瞄准网络技术(TTNT)数据链信号的接收,设计了TTNT信号非均匀分布的16个跳频频点的树形多级结构数字化接收机。分析了该结构的运算量大小,并通过仿真实验验证了该结构的可行性。仿真结果表明,树形多级级联结构相对于多相离散傅里叶变换(DFT)滤波器组结构运算量有所增加,但结构灵活,能够有效地分离出TTNT不同频点的信号,实用性更强。  相似文献

设计了一个由调节型级联跨阻抗放大器(TIA)和双光电二极管(DPD)构成的CMOS光电集成(OEIC)接收机.具体分析了这个光电集成接收机的噪声和灵敏度及其相互关系.接收机中的噪声主要是电路中电阻的热噪声和MOS器件的闪烁噪声.提出了优化接收机灵敏度的方法.通过低成本的CSMC 0.6μm CMOS工艺流片并对芯片进行了测试.从测试眼图可知,该CMOS光电集成接收机可工作在1.25GB/s的传输速率下,灵敏度为-12dBm.  相似文献

By using a pulse-amplitude-modulation representation of binary continuous-phase-modulation signals, the authors develops a novel optimum Viterbi sequence detector and a near-optimum Viterbi receiver with low complexity. For modulation index 0.5, where a linear receiver can be used, a minimum-mean-squared-error linear receiver filter is derived. The performance of all of these is analyzed, using the Gaussian minimum-shift-keying signal (GMSK) for illustration. It is shown that a GMSK receiver consisting of two matched filters and a four-state Viterbi algorithm performs with less than 0.24-dB degradation compared with the optimal receiver. The linear receiver is optimum for all values of E b/N0 (bit-energy-to-noise one-sided spectral density ratio). A design method for its filter is given. The filter is equivalent to a cascade of a matched filter and a Wiener filter estimator. Both upper and lower bounds for the bit-error probability are calculated. The author extends to the case of minimum-shift-keying (MSK) modulation the differentially coherent reception theory established for phase-shift-keying modulation. A novel differentially coherent detector for MSK is thus derived. The receiver filter is equivalent to the cascade of a matched filter and an equalizer in order to suppress inherent intersymbol interference. It is shown that performance can be improved when the delay between signals, multiplied by the differential detector, is increased from one to M bit time intervals. This decreases the effect of noise correlation and, thus, the bit error probability. The bit error probability of the proposed receiver is calculated. It is found that almost all potential improvement due to the delay M is obtained with M=3  相似文献

An integrated receiver channel for a pulsed time-of-flight laser range finder is presented. The receiver operates in a wide dynamic range without gain control. This is achieved by converting the received unipolar pulse to a bipolar waveform already after the optical detector before the signal is fed to amplifier blocks. Thus the nonlinearities of the amplifiers have the minimum effect on the timing point, which is located in the zero crossing of the bipolar pulse. A parallel resonant circuit is used to shape the pulse in the input of the channel, which consists of a cascade of limiting voltage amplifiers followed by a comparator. The measurements show that the receiver has a walk error of 74 ps in the dynamic range of 1:1280. This corresponds to 11 mm in distance. The minimum usable input signal is limited by the noise of the receiver and equals 1.9 /spl mu/A.  相似文献

This paper presents the 2.4-GHz front-end and the first downconversion section of a fully integrated low-IF receiver. The dual-conversion receiver rejects the image repeatably by 60 dB using integrated polyphase filters without calibration or tuning. The gain of the RF mixer and IF amplifier is switchable to slide the available dynamic range of the following stages based on the conditions of the input signal. The front-end and downconversion sections drain 35 mA on average from a 3.3-V supply. Minimum cascade noise figure is 7.2 dB, and maximum cascade IIP3 is -3.4 dBm  相似文献

The performance of binary partial response continuous phase modulation (with index 0.5) using a differentially coherent receiver depends on the choice of the receiver filter. An optimum MMSE design method for this filter is presented. The receiver filter is equivalent to the cascade of a matched filter and an equalizer in order to reduce inherent intersymbol interference (ISI). It is shown that performance degradation with respect to that of the differential binary phase shift keying (BPSK) system is due to inherent ISI contained in the signal and also to noise enhancement and correlation caused by the receiver filter. The bit error probability on the Gaussian channel is calculated by assuming that ISI is Gaussian. The Gaussian minimum shift keying (MSK) signal is used for illustration  相似文献

介绍了利用TSMC 0.18μm CMON工艺设计的应用于SDH STM-64速率级(10Gb/s)光接收机前端放大电路。该电路由前置放大器和作为主放大器的限幅放大器构成,其中前置放大器采用RGC形式的互阻放大器实现,限幅放大器采用改进的Cherry—Hooper结构。模拟结果表明该电路可以工作在10Gb/s速率上。  相似文献

A compact, solid state submillimeter-wave heterodyne radiometer has been developed and was used to measure spectral characteristics of a water vapor jet in a space simulation chamber. Features of the 557 GHz water vapor line profile were observed in significantly greater detail than in previous experiments through an increased sensitivity and improved frequency resolution (600 kHz). The local oscillator of the radiometer consisted of a frequency multiplication chain which was driven by an InP Gunn oscillator at 92.6 GHz, and which contained a frequency tripler and harmonic mixer in cascade. The front end of the receiver had a noise temperature of 4500 K (DSB) at 555 GHz, consumed 3 W and weighed 3 kg. This advance in technology is particularly relevant to submillimeter-wave radiometry from a space-based platform.  相似文献

A simple and comprehensive technique to determine the probability that a cascade of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) may be driven into unacceptable regimes of bit error rate (BER) and/or gain levels is presented. This technique allows network designers to determine the tolerances by which the signal power levels may deviate from their predesigned average values and still give acceptable gain variances and BERs at the receiver. We show that even in the signal power range well above the receiver sensitivities (-38 dBm/ch) where the gain spread is not significant, the corresponding spread in BER due to random arrival of packets might result in unacceptable performance. We show for typical levels of operation, the BER temporarily (for about 3 /spl mu/s) deviates to below 10/sup -9/ (10/sup -15/) with a probability of 10/sup -3/ (10/sup -2/), for 100 (64) channels. We show that the gain spread for a single EDFA can be negligible for a range of signal and pump powers at a given average gain.  相似文献

An all photonic terahertz communication link operating at 3.8 THz using a quantum cascade laser and quantum well photodetector has been demonstrated. The link consists of a quantum cascade laser transmitter and a quantum well photodetector receiver. The link was used to transmit audio through 2 m of room air. An improved Cheby?shev approximative analytical expression for the probability distribution of the normalised envelope of atmospheric noise (a.n.) in narrowband receiver is presented. A new probabilistic interpretation of the derived expression is given, and the error probabilities for the m-c.p.s.k. receiver with finite-width decision threshold and an ideal f.s.k. receiver are calculated. The expressions obtained are explicit and they represent the weighted sum of the error probabilities due to Gaussian noises of different noise powers.  相似文献

The authors propose and analyze a direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiaccess (DS/SSMA) receiver that employs a cascade of cochannel interference (CCl) cancellers for communication over multipath fading channels. The receiver first coherently demodulates and despreads the received signal to produce correlator outputs and initial data estimates. Based on these estimates, the cancellation scheme essentially creates replicas of the contributions of the CCl embedded in the correlator outputs and removes them for a second improved hard data decision. By repeating this operation over and over, a cascade of CCl cancellers is derived. Through theoretical analysis and simulation, the authors investigate the canceller's bit error rate (BER) performance in both the absence and presence of errors in the amplitude and phase estimates of each user's received signal. Numerical results show the considerably large improvement in performance that can be attained by the cancellation scheme, even under partially degraded estimates  相似文献

实现了一个单片集成、直接转换结构的2.4GHz CMOS接收机.这个正交接收机作为低成本方案应用于802.11b无线局域网系统,所处理的数据传输率为该系统的最大速率--11Mbps.基于系统设计以及低噪声高线性度考虑,设计了低噪声放大器、直接转换混频器、增益可变放大器、低通滤波器、直流失调抵消电路及其他辅助电路.该芯片采用中芯国际0.18μm 1p6m RF CMOS工艺流片.所测的接收机性能如下:噪声系数为4.1dB,高增益设置下低噪声放大器与混频器的输入三阶交调点为-7.5dBm,整个接收机的输入三阶交调点为-14dBm,相邻信道干扰抑制能力在距中心频率30MHz处达到53dBc,输出直流失调电压小于5mV.该接收机采用1.8V电源电压,I,Q两路消耗的总电流为44mA.  相似文献
