本文自行设计环行腔可调谐光纤激光器,研究环行腔掺饵光纤激光器的调谐技术,采用应力可调谐光栅进行实验,解决了光纤激光器普遍存在的泵浦光反射形成的回波影响问题和窄线宽激光输出功率与激光模式的矛盾,讨论了输出耦合比对调谐特性的影响,实现了窄带滤波和宽带调谐的双重特性,实现了窄线宽可调谐激光输出。  相似文献

为了实现窄线宽非平面环形Nd:YAG激光器的大范围压电和温度调谐,采用对粘接在激光晶体上的薄压电陶瓷片施加高压驱动信号,并大范围控制激光晶体温度的方法,获得压电调谐范围达到210MHz,调谐带宽大于90kHz,压电调谐系数大于1MHz/V;当控制激光晶体温度在10℃到47℃范围内变化时,输出激光在8GHz范围内可连续调谐,总的调谐范围达到61GHz。结果表明,高频压电调谐时拍频展宽形状发生改变的主要原因是压电驱动信号失真。结合压电调谐和温度调谐的各自优点,激光频率调谐实验取得了良好效果。  相似文献

连续可调谐的紫外激光一般通过红外或可见激光进行外腔倍频获得,然而倍频腔锁定电路的带宽限制了激光器的调谐性能。将前馈控制方法用于中性汞原子激光冷却的四倍频紫外激光器,即在调谐基频激光频率的同时,同步调节级联的两个倍频腔。这不仅降低了激光器频率调谐中引入的功率噪声,还提高了紫外激光器的频率调谐范围,使得紫外激光器的调谐能力得到大幅提高。通过汞原子的亚多普勒磁致双色光谱进行激光频率锁定,发现前馈控制电路的应用能降低激光的频率噪声。在汞原子光谱和激光冷却实验中,紫外激光的可调谐性和稳定性的提高将会带来很多优势。  相似文献

The design and operation of an InGaAs-GaAs asymmetric cladding ridge waveguide (RW) distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) laser that can be operated in both a single-wavelength mode and a stable, dual-wavelength mode with tunable mode pair separation are reported. The asymmetric cladding RW-DBR laser consists of a conventional DBR laser with an additional, separate tuning contact pad over a part of the grating. The laser operates on a single-wavelength with no current applied to the tuning DBR pad, and dual-wavelength operation is achieved when current is applied to the tuning DBR pad. Tunable mode pair separations as small as ~13 nm and as large as ~17 nm can be achieved in various tuning conditions  相似文献

研究了利特罗(Littrow)结构外腔半导体激光器的结构参量对激光连续可调范围的影响。给出了反射镜转轴等处的机械加工误差对激光波长连续可调范围所造成的影响的数值计算结果。介绍了半导体激光器外腔结构设计的具体细节要点。利用该设计制作的外腔只需要配合商用半导体激光管便可以得到优质的780nm激光输出,经测量其线宽小于1MHz,连续可调谐范围大于3GHz。利用腔外Rb饱和吸收谱的三、五次谐波稳频方法对半导体激光器进行了稳频。其中提出了优化激光频率短期稳定度的方法,并对调制深度的选择给出了详细的理论解释。根据该优化方法设计出稳频系统对半导体激光器进行稳频,得到了稳定度达到10-12量级的半导体激光输出。  相似文献

Characteristics of an injection-controlled electron-beam pumped XeF(CA) laser are investigated with emphasis on efficient wideband tuning and scaling issues. Using a quasi-CW dye laser as an injection source, data are obtained that describe the laser characteristics over a wide parameter range. A high-Z electron-beam backscattering reflector inside the laser reaction cell improved the electron-beam energy deposition by 40%, resulting in an increase of the amplified laser output by more than a factor of four. Efficient and continuous wavelength tuning between 470 and 500 nm is achieved with an output energy density of ~1 J/l, and an intrinsic efficiency of ~1% throughout the entire tuning region  相似文献

Characteristics of a two-electrode DFB laser filter are studied both theoretically and experimentally. Using a matrix analysis of spontaneous emission, a continuous tuning range of 6.7 Å is achieved by changing both net field gains of the two electrodes. A total discontinuous tuning range of over 10 nm comprising alternating mode jumps and continuous tuning range of 4 Å are measured experimentally. The laser filter presents a FWHM bandwidth of 5 GHz which depends on the optical input power. In addition, it is demonstrated that a DFB laser filter can act as a frequency discriminator/photodetector, i.e., a narrow-band FM receiver, with a uniform bandwidth of 1.5 GHz. Using the two-electrode DFB laser for both transmitter and receiver, a two-channel FSK-WDM transmission system utilizing the discontinuous tuning range is reported. A theoretical model of a self-pulsating three-section DFB laser with an integrated phase tuning section is established. It is based on traveling wave equations and the standard carrier rate equations. Parameters of an existing device are used for applying the model. Key conditions and characteristics of self-pulsations (SPs) are modeled and compared with experimental results. The important role of phase tuning for turning on the SP is pointed out. The dependence of the SP regime on the detuning between the Bragg wavelengths in the laser and reflector is determined and the essential role of phase-readjustment is identified. Frequency tuning via the laser currents, as well as the pulse shape at various frequencies, is investigated. This allows us to identify the mechanism for frequency tuning. The model turns out to be a good tool to improve our knowledge of the self-pulsation effect and to design optimized devices  相似文献

Based on the semi-classical density matrix equation theory, the gain and tuning characteristics of infrared-microwave pumped NH3 FIR laser were studied. It was shown that quasi-continuously tuning could be obtained by the tuning of microwave frequency and the efficiency of the laser could be enhanced by electric dipole transition enhancement effect, but compromise should be made between FIR laser output and frequency tuning range.  相似文献
