现有网络中提高多播吞吐量的算法通常是以提高链路速率为目的,但单纯地提高链路速率而忽略多播树的度也限制了多播吞吐量的提高。主要研究了多跳无线网络中多播吞吐量最优化问题,深入分析了无线多跳网络特点,并在综合考虑链路速率和多播树度对多播吞吐量影响的基础上,提出了应用于节点发射功率相同环境下的UUP_MTOA算法和应用于节点发射功率不同环境下的UNP_MTOA算法。通过仿真实验与同类近似最优化算法相比,UUP_MTOA算法和UNP_MTOA算法能够获得更高的吞吐量,更适应于多跳无线网络环境。  相似文献

能量捕获无线传感器网络是无源感知技术中非常重要的一类,它能够有效解决节点能量受限的问题,保持网络运行的持续性.现有的路由方法并未充分利用节点的能量捕获特性,也没有考虑到链路的成功收包率和节点的传输速率.为进一步提高网络的性能,提出了一种结合链路成功收包率的速率自适应路由算法.通过对节点的剩余能量和链路的成功收包率进行建模,给出了一个节点可作为路由中继节点所需要满足的两个条件;基于优化方程,为传输路径上的每一跳节点自适应配置时延最小化的传输速率;提出路由发现步骤来找出端到端传输时延最小的传输路径.实验结果表明,相比于固定传输速率的路由算法,所提算法所得到的传输路径具有较低的端到端传输时延和较高的吞吐率.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the energy efficient multicast problem in ad hoc wireless networks. Each node in the network is assumed to have a fixed level of transmission power. The problem of our concern is: given an ad hoc wireless network and a multicast request, how to find a multicast tree such that the total energy cost of the multicast tree is minimized. We first prove this problem is NP-hard and it is unlikely to have an approximation algorithm with a constant performance ratio of the number of nodes in the network. We then propose an algorithm based on the directed Steiner tree method that has a theoretically guaranteed approximation performance ratio. We also propose two efficient heuristics, node-join-tree (NJT) and tree-join-tree (TJT) algorithms. The NJT algorithm can be easily implemented in a distributed fashion. Extensive simulations have been conducted to compare with other methods and the results have shown significant improvement on energy efficiency of the proposed algorithms.  相似文献

针对现有组播拥塞控制算法应用到无线网络中存在的性能下降问题,提出一种基于新的智能组播拥塞控制机制ECMCC。ECMCC机制根据网络相对队列时延和数据包丢失检测网络的拥塞状态,采用代表集合机制反馈信息,利用专家控制器的推理判断区分丢包原因和当前的网络状态,进而采取不同的控制策略调节组播源端发送速率。仿真结果表明,ECMCC机制收敛速度快、灵敏性好、速率变化平滑,在有线网络中具有良好的TCP友好性。同时,ECMCC能有效区分网络拥塞和随机差错,提高了网络的吞吐量,适用于无线网络环境,且在无线网络较低误码率时具有一定的TCP友好性。  相似文献

Multicast routing is a crucial issue in wireless networks in which the same content should be delivered to a group of recipients simultaneously. Multicast is also considered as a key service for audio and video applications as well as data dissemination protocols over the last-mile backhaul Internet connectivity provided by multi-channel multi-radio wireless mesh networks (MCMR WMNs). The multicast problem is essentially related to a channel assignment strategy which determines the most suitable channel-radio associations. However, channel assignment brings about its own complications and hence, solving the multicast problem in MCMR WMNs will be more complicated than that of traditional networks. This problem has been proved to be NP-hard. In the major prior art multicast protocols developed for these networks, channel assignment and multicast routing are considered as two separate sub-problems to be solved sequentially. The work in this article is targeted at promoting the adoption of learning automata for joint channel assignment and multicast routing problem in MCMR WMNs. In the proposed scheme named LAMR, contrary to the existing methods, these two sub-problems will be solved conjointly. Experimental results demonstrate that LAMR outperforms the LCA and MCM proposed by Zeng et al. (IEEE Trans. Parallel. Distrib. Syst. 21(1):86–99, 2010) as well as the genetic algorithm-, tabu search-, and simulated annealing-based methods by Cheng and Yang (Int. J. Appl. Soft Comput. 11(2):1953–1964, 2011) in terms of achieved throughput, end-to-end delay, average packet delivery ratio, and multicast tree total cost.  相似文献

To reduce the transmission cost in 5G multicast networks that have separate control and data planes, we focus on the minimum-power-cost network-coding subgraph problem for the coexistence of two multicasts in wireless networks. We propose two suboptimal algorithms as extensions of the Steiner tree multicast. The critical 1-cut path eliminating (C1CPE) algorithm attempts to find the minimum-cost solution for the coexistence of two multicast trees with the same throughput by reusing the links in the topology, and keeps the solution decodable by a coloring process. For the special case in which the two multicast trees share the same source and destinations, we propose the extended selective closest terminal first (E-SCTF) algorithm out of the C1CPE algorithm. Theoretically the complexity of the E-SCTF algorithm is lower than that of the C1CPE algorithm. Simulation results show that both algorithms have superior performance in terms of power cost and that the advantage is more evident in networks with ultra-densification.  相似文献

Most of the group communication technologies support real-time multimedia applications such as video conferencing and distributed gaming. These applications require quality-of-service (QoS) aware multicast routing protocol to deliver the same data stream to a predefined group of receivers. Since nodes in wireless networks are severely energy constrained due to finite battery source, hence it is of paramount importance that QoS aware multicast routing protocol be energy efficient. Transmission power control is one of the methods used to save energy. In this method, the nodes dynamically adjust the transmission power so that energy consumption in the tree is minimized. However, reduction in the transmission power increases the number of forwarding nodes in the multicast tree. This negatively impacts the QoS in terms of propagation delay, delay jitter, and packet loss etc. In wireless networks, there is a trade-off between the energy consumption and the QoS guarantees provided by the network. We unify these requirements into a multiobjective framework referred to as Energy Efficient QoS Multicast Routing (E2QoSMR). The goal is to simultaneously optimize the total power consumption and the QoS parameters in the multicast tree. We extend two algorithms based on metaphor of swarm intelligence for finding an energy efficient multicast tree satisfying the QoS guarantees. Extensive simulations have been conducted to validate the correctness and efficiency of the algorithms. The simulation result of the algorithms is compared with the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm, NSGA-III. The experimental results are consolidated by statistical analyses that demonstrate the ability of the algorithms to generate the Pareto optimal solution set.  相似文献

We propose and analyze a hierarchical agent-based secure and reliable multicast (HASRM) algorithm for efficiently supporting secure and reliable mobile multicast in wireless mesh networks, with design considerations given to minimize the overall network cost incurred by reliable multicast packet delivery, mobility management, security key management, and group membership maintenance. HASRM dynamically maintains a group of multicast agents running on mesh routers for integrated mobility and multicast service management and leverages a hierarchical multicast structure for secure and reliable multicast data delivery. The regional service size of each multicast agent is a key design parameter. We show via model-based performance analysis and simulation validation that there exists an optimal regional service size that minimizes the overall communication cost and the optimal regional service size can be dynamically determined. We demonstrate that HASRM under optimal settings significantly outperforms traditional algorithms based on shortest-path multicast trees extended with user mobility, security, and reliability support. We also show that a variant of HASRM is superior to a recently proposed multicast algorithm for secure group communication in wireless mesh networks.  相似文献

QoS组播路由问题是一个非线性的组合优化问题,已证明了该问题是NP完全问题。为适应下一代IP网络对实时信息传输的要求,在异步模式粒子群优化算法基础上,给出包含延迟、延迟抖动、带宽、丢包率和最小花费5个约束条件在内的QoS组播路由算法。该算法首先给出数学模型,设计适应度函数,再给出受限的网络模型,通过粒子群优化(PSO)算法最大化适应度函数来求解最优Steiner树。算法仿真实验结果表明:与遗传算法和同步模式的粒子群优化算法相比,该算法有较好的收敛速度和寻优效果。  相似文献

With the utilization of concurrent transmission strategy, a throughput-enhanced scheduling scheme is devised for multicast service in wireless multi-hop mesh networks. Since the performance of a multicast mechanism is constrained in a wireless setting due to the interference among local wireless transmissions, the interference relationships are first characterized by introducing a graph transformation method. Based on the graph transformation, the multicast scheduling problem is converted to the graph coloring problem, and then a capacity greedy algorithm is designed to provide concurrent transmission scheduling so that the demanded multicast transmission rate can be achieved. Moreover, the necessary and sufficient conditions of multicast schedulable feasibility are derived. Through corresponding simulations, it is shown that the proposed strategy can enhance the throughput of wireless multi-hop multicast systems significantly.  相似文献

This paper considers wireless multicast networks where network coding (NC) is applied to improve network throughput. A novel joint topology and cross-layer design is proposed to maximise the network throughput subject to various quality-of-service constraints, such as: wireless multicast rate, wireless link capacity, energy supply and network lifetime. Specifically, a heuristic NC-based link-controlled routing tree algorithm is developed to reduce the number of required intermediate nodes. The proposed algorithm facilitates the optimisation of the wireless multicast rate, data flow of wireless links, energy supply and lifetime of nodes through a novel cross-layer design. The proposed joint topology and cross-layer design is evaluated and compared against other schemes from the literature. The results show that the proposed scheme can achieve up to 50% increase in the system throughput when compared to a classic approach.  相似文献

Many multimedia communication applications require a source to transmit messages to multiple destinations subject to Quality-of-Service (QoS) delay constraint. The problem to be solved is to find a minimum cost multicast tree where each source to destination path is constrained by a delay bound. This problem has been proven to be NP-complete. In this paper, we present a Tabu Search (TS) algorithm to construct a minimum cost delay bounded multicast tree. The proposed algorithm is then compared with many existing multicast algorithms. Results show that on almost all test cases, TS algorithm exhibits more intelligent search of the solution subspace and is able to find better solutions than other reported multicast algorithms.  相似文献

The delay and delay variation-bounded Steiner tree problem is an important problem in real-time multimedia networks, and is known to be NP-complete. In this paper, we propose an efficient heuristic multicast routing algorithm based on simulated annealing named SADDVMA to construct the constrained Steiner tree. To avoid enlargement of search area and increase of computing time, the proposed heuristic algorithm uses a procedure called Paths-switching to construct neighbors in feasible region according to the relationship between delay and delay variation. We also give a method to dynamically reorganize the multicast tree in response to changes for the destinations. Simulations demonstrate that our algorithm is better in terms of tree cost as compared to the existing algorithms. Further, it performs excellent performance of delay and delay variation, rapid convergence and better real-time property.  相似文献

Many multicast applications, such as audio/video streaming, file sharing or emergency reporting, are becoming quite common in wireless mobile environment, through the widespread deployment of 802.11-based wireless networks. However, despite the growing interest in the above applications, the current IEEE 802.11 standard does not offer any medium access control (MAC) layer support to the efficient and reliable provision of multicast services. It does not provide any MAC-layer recovery mechanism for unsuccessful multicast transmissions. Consequently, lost frames cannot be detected, hence retransmitted, causing a significant quality of service degradation. In addition, 802.11 multicast traffic is sent at the basic data rate, often resulting in severe throughput reduction.In this work, we address these issues by presenting a reliable multicast MAC protocol for wireless multihop networks, which is coupled with a lightweight rate adaptation scheme. Simulation results show that our schemes provide high packet delivery ratio and when compared with other state-of-the-art solutions, they also provide reduced control overhead and data delivery delay.  相似文献

对于多媒体应用等实时组播业务而言,组播路由算法不仅要考虑优化代价,还要考虑时延约束。针对这一问题,提出一种支持动态组播的时延受限低代价组播路由启发式算法(delay-constrained multicast algorithm,DCMA)。该算法基于DDMC算法进行扩展,采用新的指示函数和链路选择函数,综合考虑了时延和代价,有效保证了组播树的性能,而且时间复杂度低,可用于实际的应用系统中。  相似文献
