Cathodic protection of reinforced concrete has been developed by a combination of trial and error, fundamental research, applied research and transfer of technology from related fields. These developments have been underway for 35 years and have been progressed by civil engineers, concrete technologists, corrosion scientists and cathodic protection engineers. In the past 6 years in the U.K. the investment in repairs to reinforced concrete structures incorporating cathodic protection has grown from a minimal £100,000 p.a. to some £20 million p.a. This paper reviews the developments in cathodic protection of reinforced concrete during the last 35 years with particular emphasis on developments during the last decade. The critical areas of this multi-discipline technology in respect of system performance and future development are anode systems, anode overlays and assessment of cathodic protection performance. These critical areas are addressed in detail and some requirements for future work are highlighted.  相似文献

纳米TiO2-SnO2复合薄膜的光生阴极保护作用及机理研究   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
用溶胶-凝胶法和旋转涂膜技术在导电玻璃(ITO)表面构筑纳米TiO2膜和纳米TiO2-SnO2复合膜,应用AFM、XRD对膜的形貌及晶体结构进行表征.用光电化学和腐蚀电化学相结合技术,通过测试时间-电位曲线和交流阻抗谱研究光生阴极保护状态下316L不锈钢电极在0.5 mol/L NaCl溶液中的微观界面电荷分布及电子传递规律,探讨光生阴极保护的作用机理.结果表明以TiO2-SnO2复合膜作为光生阳极时,在紫外光照下,316L不锈钢电极可处在阴极保护状态,并且在切断光源后,光生电极电位仍可在较长的一段时间内维持在-0.2 V左右,仍具有一定的阴极保护作用.  相似文献

Abstract

High-carbon-chromium bearing steel is often annealed in a sealed pot with a small amount of charcoal without physically contacting it. The charcoal is supposed to provide non-contact protection by simultaneously preventing oxidation and decarburisation during spheroidising. However, the actual effects of charcoal have not been thoroughly studied previously. In this paper, the effect of the non-contact charcoal protection is investigated. It remarkably reduces oxidation, but significantly increases decarburisation, compared with ambient air annealing. The oxide and decarburised layers with the non-contact charcoal protection are thicker than those after annealing in a sealed pot without charcoal protection and in ambient air. Experimental results have been analysed based on thermodynamics, and an improved spheroidising process for the bearing steel is suggested.  相似文献

A model of a bare steel area exposed at a break in a zinc dust paint film has been designed to allow the simultaneous examination of cathodic protection of the steel and the deposition of corrosion inhibitive zinc compounds under immersed conditions. Results indicate that any reduction in zinc area by reducing pigment content or top-coating reduces protection, not by restricting cathodic protection by polarization of the zinc, but by reducing the production of inhibitive zinc compounds. Oxygen and ion permeability measurements on zinc dust paint films have shown only small permeability decreases on ageing, and it is suggested that protection is due to the deposition of inhibitive zinc compounds on steel rather than sealing of the films by zinc corrosion products.  相似文献

Anatase nanostructured coating has been prepared on 316 L stainless steel by sol-gel dip coating. The topography of the coatings surface has been analyzed using atomic force microscopy. The anticorrosion performance of the coatings has been evaluated using polarization curves. Effects of calcination temperature, withdrawal speed and times of coating on corrosion protection have been studied. The results showed calcination temperature of 400°C and withdrawal speed of 10 cm/min are desirable conditions to achieve high corrosion protection of 316 L stainless steel in chloride containing environments. Coatings with 3 times exhibit better resistance against corrosion in 0.5 molar NaCl solutions. This protection against corrosion arises from photocatalytic properties of anatase nanoparticles.  相似文献

Some new aspects concerning the corrosion protection of underground pipelines and containers The protection of underground structures by coatings is based on the availability of coating materials yielding a useful life up to 50 years without requiring repair. This is one of the reasons for the gradual replacement of bituminous coatings — which have been preferentially used so far — by plastic coatings because polyethylene e. g. is highly resistant to shock and compression. The problem of rusting under plastic coatings has been thoroughly studied since it is easily possible to determine the diffusion of water vapour while it is difficult even nowadays to measure the diffusion of oxygen which is indispensible to the corrosion of steel. As to the testing of coatings preference is given to testing the finished coating instead of materials prior to application. The importance of active corrosion protection, it is cathodic protection, has increased. In the course of recent years criteria have been established which considerably facilitate the determination of protection current requirements. In this respect the measurement of the rupture potential is preferred although this measurement requires a very critical interpretation in some cases.  相似文献

研究了HFC-152a气体对镁及其合金在熔炼过程中的保护效果,并对其保护机理进行了探讨。结果表明,含体积分数为0.1%的HFC-152a保护气体可以较好地起到保护作用;气体浓度越高,温度越低,保护效果越好;试样的扫描电镜、X射线衍射分析显示氧化膜很致密,它由MgO、MgF2、Mg等组成,起到了保护作用。  相似文献

利用电化学阻抗谱(EIS)技术,研究了锌粉颜料平均粒度分别为7μm、3.5μm和500nm的有机富锌涂层的电化学行为.研究表明,在阴极保护阶段,含有纳米尺度锌粉颜料的富锌涂层可对基底钢材提供更有效的电流保护,但锌粉颜料尺寸对富锌涂层阴极保护作用时间的长短没有显著影响;在阻挡保护阶段,含有纳米尺度锌粉颜料的富锌涂层中,锌粉的腐蚀速率较低。涂层具有较大的涂层电阻和较小的涂层电容,发展为具有较强阻挡保护作用的涂层.  相似文献

Influence of a few percents additives of polyaniline doped with phosphoric acid (PAni-PA) and ceria nanoparticle on corrosion protection of a new ultraviolet (UV)-cure polyester acrylate coating have been studied for coil coating on carbon steel by electrochemical measurements during exposure to a NaCl solution. The results demonstrate that the presence of ceria nanoparticles improves the barrier property and stability of the coating. Adding the PAni-PA results in active corrosion protection for carbon steel due to passivation of the steel, and the combination of both additives greatly enhances the protection property over that of the coating matrix alone.  相似文献

A novel test setup has been used in this study to simulate stress corrosion cracking initiation under a disbonded coating on an X-65 pipeline steel. In this setup, the synergistic effects of cyclic loading, cathodic protection and soil solution environment under disbonded coatings have been considered. When the X-65 pipeline steel was exposed to the test environment, there existed a wide range of corrosion products on the steel surface in the gradient of cathodic protection. Increasing the test time and the maximum stress increased the possibility of stress corrosion cracking initiation in regions with a high susceptibility to pitting corrosion.  相似文献

Inherently conducting polymers such as polyaniline and polypyrrole containing organic coatings have been found to offer corrosion protection of steel in acid and neutral media. In this study, the use of polydiphenylamine in vinyl coating for corrosion protection of steel in 3% NaCl solution is reported. The polydiphenylamine was prepared by chemical oxidative method of diphenylamine by ammonium persulfate in hydrochloric acid medium. The synthesized polydiphenylamine (PDPA) was blended with vinyl resin at 0–5% concentrations and the corrosion protection performance of the coating on steel was evaluated by EIS for a period of 80 days. It has been found that the coating containing 3% PDPA is able to protect steel more effectively.  相似文献

油井套管外腐蚀是套管失效的最主要形式,严重制约了油田的作业和开发。阴极保护技术已广泛应用于油井套管系统的防腐蚀保护。实践证明,该技术是目前使用最广泛、最有效的油井套管防腐蚀技术。然而,基于脉冲电流的阴极保护技术在油井套管中还没有相关应用。理论研究和模拟实验证明,脉冲电流阴极保护技术具有电流分布更均匀,总电流需求更低,保护深度更深,耗能更低等诸多优点。通过介绍脉冲电流阴极保护技术的历史、研究进展、应用条件等,对油井套管阴极保护技术进行了综述;探讨了油井套管脉冲电流阴极保护基本参数的影响规律;总结了对该技术保护效果的评价,并对其保护效果进行了展望。  相似文献

Results of 3-year full-scale field climatic tests on application of five types of inhibiting papers for anticorrosion protection of ferrous and nonferrous metals during storage in a humid tropical climate have been carried out by the Joint Russian and Vietnamese Tropical Research and Technology Center and presented here. 本文通过对四川气田北干线涪江隧道穿越管道阴极保护电参数的现场测试,取得了实际可信的基础数据,验证了处于水下隧道洞内的穿越段管道,能得到陆上强制电流阴极保护系统的有效保护,保护电流所必经的岩石层和锚喷钢筋混凝土层对保护电流没有构成屏蔽的结论,对管道工程设计和运行管理具有指导作用。  相似文献
