＂Development of the Enegy Saving Tvpe GS-11 Catalyst for Dehvdrogenation of EthvIbenzene and Its Commercial Testing＂ Passed Appraisal

The project ＂Development of the energy saving type GS-11 catalyst for dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene and its commercial testing＂ jointly undertaken by the SINOPEC Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute and the Qilu Petrochemical Company had passed in November 2008 the appraisal organized by the SINOPEC Science and Teehnology Development Division.     

Commercial Test of Catalyst for Two-stage Hydrotreating of Pyrogas Passed Appraisal

The technical development project assigned by SINOPEC-- “Commercial test of the SHP-02/F catalyst for two-stage hydrotreating of pyrolysis gasoline”--jointly performed by SINOPEC Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute and Zhongyuan Petrochemical Company had passed the technical appraisal organized by SINOPEC Science and Technology Development Division. The SHP-02/F catalyst used in the combined bed has the advantages of both CoMo and NiMo catalyst series with outstanding hydrogenation and desulfurization performance, and can be applied to hydrogenate petroleum products with high contents of diolefins and resins and a sulfur content ranging from 30 to 1100 ppm. This catalyst is innovative in its nature.

Commercial Application Test of Novel Aromatics Adsorbent Passed Appraisal

The project ＂Development and Commercial Application Test of the RAX-2000A Type Adsorbent＂ undertaken by SINOPEC RIPP and SINOPEC Changling Catalyst Branch Company has passed the technical appraisal organized by SINOPEC. The first commercial application tests of the RAX-2000A type adsorbent, which is a product with independent intellectual property rights, were carried out in the aromatics unit at SINOPEC Qilu Petrochemical Company in September 2004. The aromatic unit was successfully started at the first attempt to manufacture qualified xylene product.

The Shanxi Sanwei Group Co., Ltd. intends to invest around 820 million RMB in the construction ofa 9-kt/a coal gasification unit and a 30 kt/a polytetrahydrofuran expansion project, which will serve as the associated units for the 75 kt/a 1,4-butanediol unit, the construction of which is slatedfor completion in April 2008, The above-mentioned two investment projects will be constructed by means of the capital funded by the company itself and the construction is slated for completion in May 2009.
