This paper studies the problem of decentralized measurement feedback stabilization of nonlinear interconnected systems. As a natural extension of the recent development on control vector Lyapunov functions, the notion of output control vector Lyapunov function (OCVLF) is introduced for investigating decentralized measurement feedback stabilization problems. Sufficient conditions on (local) stabilizability are discussed which are based on the proposed notion of OCVLF. It is shown that a decentralized controller for a nonlinear interconnected system can be constructed using these conditions under an additional vector dissipation-like condition. This paper investigates the problem of decentralized stabilization via saturated delayed feedback. First, a new class of saturated delayed feedback controllers is proposed for a class of single-input feedforward nonlinear systems. Then, this design scheme is generalized for the setting of decentralized feedforward systems using saturated time-delayed feedback. This paper addresses the problem of the robust decentralized control for nonlinear interconnected systems with uncertainties. The similar structures of nonlinear interconnected systems are first defined. Then, controllers are designed for these systems to solve the problems of robust decentralized output tracking and robust decentralized stabilization via static output feedback. The results obtained in this paper show that the analysis and design of systems can be simplified by using the similar structures of systems. This paper focuses on a class of large-scale interconnected stochastic nonlinear systems. The interconnections are bounded by strong nonlinear functions that contain first order and higher order polynomials as special cases. The problem we address is to design a decentralized controller such that the closed-loop, large-scale, interconnected stochastic nonlinear system is globally asymptotically stable in probability for all admissible interconnections.
