提出了一种利用色散补偿光纤(DCF)、色散位移光纤(DSF)和非线性掺铒光纤放大环镜(EDNALM)对增益开关分布反馈(GSDFB)半导体激光器产生的啁啾光脉冲进行压缩的方案。数值模拟的结果表明,利用此方案可将GSDFB半导体激光器产生的脉冲宽度(半极大全宽度)为30ps的啁啾光脉冲压缩为180fs的无基座超短脉冲。  相似文献

利用低温工作状态下Yb∶YAG再生放大器,对1030nm光纤锁模激光器输出的250pJ的种子光进行放大。电光开关门宽控制种子光在放大器内20程往返,最大单脉冲能量为217μJ,输出频率10Hz,同时由于其增益窄化效应光谱宽度由8.9nm减小到0.3nm,相应的脉宽由18.0ps被压缩到5.5ps,这与理论模拟结果的0.4nm,4.2ps基本吻合。实验结果论证了采用窄增益带宽的再生放大器可以同时实现亚皮秒光参量啁啾脉冲放大(OPCPA)对抽运脉冲宽度和光谱宽度的要求,避免使用光纤光栅对光谱滤波带来的高阶非线性效应。  相似文献

结合短脉冲光参量放大抽运源的需求,基于固体放大技术,对光纤锁模激光器输出的6nm带宽皮秒纳焦耳级激光脉冲进行放大,获得了6.2mJ的基频以及3.0mJ的倍频输出,输出脉冲的时间宽度为8.6ps,倍频光峰值功率密度为4.94GW/cm2。采用高增益的Nd3+…YLF再生放大器做前级放大器,利用其光谱增益窄化效应获得窄带的高功率光参量放大抽运光。理论计算表明,在此增益条件下,输出激光的光谱将被窄化至0.3nm。采取了合理的空间整形方案,输出激光的近场呈平顶分布,光束质量优良。再生放大器采用钢棒结构,降低温度变化对系统稳定性的影响,总能量输出稳定性优于1%(RMS)。  相似文献

提出了一种基于商用化的铌酸锂调制器产生超短光脉冲的方法.直流光依次经过相位调制器和强度调制器调制,利用色散补偿光纤(DCF)和梳状色散光纤链(CDPF)对调制产生的光脉冲分别进行啁啾补偿、非线性压缩.压缩后的光脉冲注入高非线性光纤(HNLF),利用其自相位调制效应(SPM)展开脉冲光谱后滤波,可以有效地消除光脉冲的基座,实现光脉冲的整形.获得了10GHz的1.8ps无基座近变换极限光脉冲.  相似文献

报道了一种新型的重复频率为10 GHz,脉宽为5.3 ps,抖动为184 fs的高稳定光短脉冲源.将大信号调制半导体激光器产生的10 GHz光脉冲,先送入LiNbO3电光相位调制器增强负啁啾,并使光谱进一步展宽,再通过色散补偿光纤(DCF)压缩脉冲啁啾,可得到光短脉冲.由于大信号调制激光器输出的光脉冲本身具有负啁啾,而通过相位调制器的光脉冲在不同的时间间隔内既有正啁啾也有负啁啾,通过适当调整进入相位调制器的光脉冲时延,使其通过相位调制器后累加产生更大的负啁啾,再利用正色散光纤压缩啁啾,从而得到低抖动且无基座的光短脉冲.  相似文献

实验研究了一种高消光比短脉冲的产生技术。利用色散补偿光纤线性压缩由增益开关分布反馈激光器出射的光脉冲。而后利用电吸收调制器的非线性吸收特性同步调制光脉冲。利用这种方法在实验上产生了重复频率为10GHz,脉宽为10.4ps,抖动小,高消光比,无基座的短脉冲。此种技术可以应用于40Gbit/s的光时分复用系统中,同时也说明电吸收调制器具有同号脉冲整形功能。  相似文献

利用色散渐减光纤中高阶孤子非绝热压缩及非线性环形腔镜的消基座作用获得高质量无基座超短光脉冲.可以把波长为1.55 μm,脉宽为20 ps的光脉冲压缩为1.42 ps无基座超短脉冲.并与直接用色散渐减光纤的非绝热孤子压缩得到的同宽度光脉冲分别在光纤正负色散区传输进行了比较,发现用色散渐减光纤构成的非线性光纤环形腔镜获得的压缩光脉冲具有相对理想的波形和频谱结构,有利于在光纤中长距离稳定传输.  相似文献

Interaction forces between propagating pulse pairs from a gain-switched distributed feedback laser diode (DFB-LD) were investigated. The authors discuss the experimental observation of a nonlinear interaction force between the fiber-compressed, gain-switched optical pulses. Optical pulses were generated by a gain-switched 1.55 mu m DFB-LD at a 10 GHz repetition rate, and compressed by compensating for the red-shifted chirping in the optical pulses using a polarization-holding fiber with a 18.7 ps/km/nm normal dispersion at a 1.55 mu m wavelength. The measured interaction force, which was greater than that theoretically predicted, was caused by the wings and/or pedestal associated with copropagating pulses.<>  相似文献

To obtain high power, well shaped picosecond pulses from gain-switched semiconductor lasers, the use of dynamic gain saturation characteristics of semiconductor laser amplifiers was investigated theoretically and experimentally. A configuration of a reflected-wave amplifier (RWA) with single-side external coupling is introduced for pulse shaping, which is found to be suitable for enhancing dynamic gain saturation. By a combination of a distributed feedback laser oscillator at 1.3 μm in wavelength and a reflected-wave amplifier of 400 μm cavity length with asymmetric facet reflectivities of 0.01% and 30%, single-mode optical pulses with almost no tailing, full width at half maximum of 15 ps, and peak power exceeding 50 mW were obtained without pulse broadening, despite the considerable tail structure of the incident pulse  相似文献

A simple continuously wavelength-tunable fiber ring laser pulse source is demonstrated. Such a source employs a gain-switched multiple quantum-well Fabry-Perot laser diode in a self-seeding scheme and the output pulse wavelength can be tuned continuously via a tunable optical filter. The optical pulses generated exhibit a pulsewidth of 92 ps at the frequency of 2.6 GHz. Within a wide wavelength tuning range of 46 nm, the side-mode suppression ratio and the average power of the output optical pulses obtained are higher than 50.1 dB and 3.3 dBm, respectively, and the pulse spectral stability can be maintained in the whole wavelength tuning range.  相似文献

Semiconductor DFB (Distributed feedback) laser diodes with an operating wavelength of 1064 nm, which is suitable for pulse-on-demand fiber laser, have been developed. The stable performance of CW and nanosecond/picosecond pulsed operation is reviewed. By applying gain-switching operation with a simple direct modulation technique, 50-ps pulse generation with a stable spectral single-mode property was obtained. For the efficient amplification of the obtained 50-ps pulse, a monolithic semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) was integrated into the DFB lasers. An improved peak power of 300 mW at 50-ps pulse was observed with limited optical noise injection when the synchronous modulation technique of the DFB and the SOA was employed. Short cavity lasers showed a high-frequency response compared to the original DFB lasers and achieved a short pulse width of 13 ps by standard gain-switched operation.  相似文献

7.5-ps optical pulses generated from a gain-switched semiconductor laser at 2 GHz are successfully compressed down to 20 fs using a four-stage fiber soliton pulse compressor consisting of standard single-mode transmission, Er-doped, dispersion-decreasing, and dispersion-flattened fibers, respectively.
