In the design of millimeter wave voltage control oscillators (VCOs), mutual coupling effect is of great importance for it influences the tuning and power characteristics of VCOs significantly. In this paper, mutual coupling between two in-line radial line transformers (RLTs) in rectangular waveguide cavities of millimeter wave VCOs has been evaluated with mode matching methods. Mutual coupling characteristics varying with various parameters of resonate cavity such as the distance between two diodes, the position of sliding short, the radii of bias pins, the radii of RLTs, and the height of diodes are presented. Some useful conclusions concerning two RLTs configuration have been derived, which is helpful to design millimeter wave VCO of this structure.  相似文献

A characteristic equation and impedance characteristic for the dominant mode of closed elliptic-groove guide have been analyzed and discussed by using the mode-matching method. The reference size of the closed elliptic-groove guide for the good impedance matching with rectangular guide in actual application is given. The obtained conclusions are of important significance in theoretical studies and actual applications of closed elliptic-groove guide for millimeter waves.  相似文献

随着微电子工艺技术的发展,硅基CMOS器件的截止频率已经达到毫米波频段,使硅基微波单片集成电路实现成为可能。因此,建立硅基毫米波频段共面波导结构模型使准确设计硅基微波单片集成电路成为必要。文章提出了一种基于神经网络技术的共面波导结构(CPW)毫米波可缩放模型,采用3层神经网络结构,根据共面波导的测试结果,用神经网络来学习其物理变量和测试的相应S参数空间映射关系。仿真与测试结果比较表明:基于神经网络方法建立的毫米波共面波导可缩放模型对不同几何参数CPW能够快速和准确地给出对应的CPW的S参数结果。  相似文献

用活动模芯代替钢带是毫米波波导弯曲成型的有效方法,该工艺的关键是模芯的设计与制造。采用活动模芯弯曲毫米波波导,重点讨论了模芯尺寸、模芯形状和回跳角对波导尺寸和表面粗糙度的影响,并对该工艺制备的样品进行了测定。结果表明:当模芯尺寸与波导内腔实际尺寸差值在0~0.02 mm,不同的弯曲半径和弯曲角度给予不同的回跳角预设值,可以制造出满足设计要求的弯波导。  相似文献

Folded waveguide circuit (FWC) is an ideal slow wave structure for broadband power traveling wave tube (TWT) in millimeter wave. But owing to changes of propagating character by reflecting of waveguide bend and electron beam hole, stopband can be formed. 采用等效电路方法和电磁场仿真软件Ansoft HFSS分析了折叠波导行波管的结构参数对其高频特性的影响,并在此基础上确定了Ka波段折叠波导行波管的尺寸.利用三维非线性粒子模拟软件MAGIC3D建立了两段式折叠波导行波管的模型,模拟研究了切断区长度和位置对折叠波导行波管的饱和输出功率及第2段电路单位长度增益的影响.最后设计了一个工作于33~36GHz的两段式折叠波导行波管,其输出功率的波动小于1dB,最大连续波输出功率达670W,对应电子效率高达7.55%.  相似文献

毫米波宽带功率放大器是毫米波电子对抗系统的关键部件之一,宽带低损耗的波导合成器是实现毫米波宽带大功率合成放大器的关键。根据设计目标,分析比较了四端口波导合路器和无耗三端口波导合路器的优缺点,提出了毫米波宽带波导合成器的设计方案,用电磁场仿真软件HFSS对宽带波导功率合成器进行了建模和设计仿真,并制作了工作频率范围在26~40 GHz的功率合成器,对测试指标和仿真曲线进行了对比分析。实际测试结果表明,设计的波导合路器具有良好的工程实用价值。  相似文献

提出了一种新型毫米波双通带基片集成波导(SIW)滤波器,该滤波器由双模基片集成波导和双模带线谐振器构成。其中双模带线谐振器嵌入到双模基片集成波导谐振腔中,不占据额外的电路面积,利用双模带线谐振器的TEM模和双模基片集成波导谐振腔的两个简并模式TE102、TE201,可分别形成两个相互独立的通带,因此该滤波器的设计具有很大的灵活性。所设计的双通带滤波器具有三个传输零点,实现了良好的带外抑制和带间隔离度。该双通带滤波器工作于28.4GHz和32.2GHz,3dB带宽分别为2%和3%。最终的测试结果和仿真结果相吻合,证明了该设计方法的可靠性。  相似文献

提出了一种双面低阻槽线共面波导功率分配器,其输入端采用双面共面波导,输出端采用双面低阻槽线。不同于普通槽线,双面低阻槽线是由金属化过孔连接介质基板两侧的槽线,相对于普通槽线,在同样的特性阻抗情况下,双面低阻槽线的缝隙比普通槽线要大得多。双面共面波导也是通过金属化过孔把介质基板两侧的共面波导连接起来,这样,同样大小的特性阻抗,双面共面波导导带与接地面之间的缝隙比普通共面波导要大得多。因此双面低阻槽线共面波导功率分配器具有较大的功率容量和工艺容差,两者都要大于普通槽线或者共面波导结构的功率分配器。仿真和测试结果表明,所提出的双面低阻槽线共面波导功率分配器工作在0. 48~1. 58 GHz,附加插入损耗是0. 3 dB,功率不平衡度小于0. 1 dB,相位不平衡度优于0. 35毅,三个端口的驻波均低于-10 dB,隔离度优于10 dB。  相似文献

The behaviour of attenuation losses in Coplanar waveguides (CPW) is studied for quasi-planar transmission lines with constant characteristic impedance (Z0) and resistivity, having different geometry's. This behavior helps in making a suitable choice of the type of structure and its dimensional parameters depending upon the application. Minimization of loss for a chosen substrate thickness, conductivity and impedance is analyzed. Dispersion characteristics of CPW have been plotted for various metallization thicknesses. A sensitivity analysis for effective dielectric constant with respect to various dimensional parameters of CPW is presented.  相似文献

A multilayer waveguide window is demonstrated to exhibit wide bandwidth and high transmission for applications in high-frequency microwave tubes. A transfer matrix approach is employed to discretize the dielectric function profile of the multilayer heterostructure in a rectangular waveguide. The closed form has been obtained and the corresponding reflection and transmission characteristics have been carried out. The analytical calculation is also compared with the result of numerical simulation via the finite-element code HFSS. The exact calculation agrees with the numerical simulation very well. By comparison, the approach not only enhances the accuracy and efficiency, but also gives a good criterion for the design. The results show that the bandwidth for a transmission of 99%, i.e., S 11 below –20 dB, can be optimized to be about 8.75 GHz at a central frequency of 35 GHz or about 25%. A wide-bandwidth waveguide window can be easily designed for Ka-band and W-band tubes, and even for higher frequency ones.  相似文献

The multifrontal method is applied for solving a large system of linear equations resulting from the use of edge-based finite element method (FEM). The finite element method combined with the perfectly matched layers (PML) is given for simulation of microwave filters and the algorithm of multifrontal method is described in detail. The reflection and insertion losses of millimeter wave filter are analyzed as the examples and the obtained results are compared with those obtained from literature. In order to demonstrate the efficiency of the multifrontal method, the computational time is compared with that of both symmetric successive overrelaxation (SSOR) preconditioned conjugate gradient (PCG) and conjugate gradient methods (CG) for the thick-iris waveguide bandpass filer.  相似文献

A novel six-port network based on half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) is proposed. In this design, a HMSIW hybrid 3 dB coupler and a -90° phase shifter are designed as fundamental building block of six-port network. By combining four HMSIW couplers and one phase shifter, a HMSIW six-port network at 29–32 GHz is constructed. The six-port network is fabricated and measured. Measurement results agree well with simulation, and show good balance and phase relationship between ports.  相似文献

The boundary marching method is applied for the analysis of the waveguide bandpass filers. The vector finite element method with the perfectly matched layers (PML) as the matching load is given for parameter extraction of millimeter wave filters. The implementation of the fast boundary marching method is described in detail. The reflection and insertion losses of millimeter wave filters are obtained and compared with those obtained from literature.  相似文献
