Two case studies are presented to illustrate the potential of an ergonomics approach, in facilitating and widening the range of activities disabled people can perform. Today's clothing market is not adapted for people with unusual body dimensions and/or different kinds of functional impairments. They will be refered to as disabled users. The method of user-oriented product development combined with the soft systems methodology has been applied in order to understand and possibly solve their problem. Sixty five disabled users were interviewed. The results show that the disabled users must be divided into subgroups. Their requirements are very much dependent on their impairment not only regarding the fit and function of the clothing, but also regarding shopping and service in the stores. The symbolic values of clothing are just as important as the functional values. However, it is essential not to focus on the end product only, but to look at the problem as a system consisting of: manufacturing, marketing and end use. A new method of taking three dimensional measurements from range images of the human body has been developed. In combination with other developments in information technology it will be possible to synthesise a new system where the manufacturers and retailers of clothing can co-operate in order to give service to disabled users.  相似文献

This paper proposes an alternative to standard nuclear core control. The control objectives are standard and concern the Average Coolant Temperature, the Axial Offset and the rod bank position (Pbank in this study). They were carefully formalized before proceeding to LTI structured controllers synthesis at various operating points, using a multi-objective approach. This study relies on a point kinetic core model, embedding an AO estimator. A Non-smooth optimization technique is used to solve the control problems at each operating point. Then gain scheduling is performed, taking advantage of the parsimonious parameterization of the considered multivariable controller. Finally, simulations are carried out on a highly realistic reactor model including a Xenon model and show the benefits of the new control  相似文献

This paper develops an evaluation approach based on the Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). When the input for a decision process is linguistic, it can be understood that the output should also be linguistic. For that reason, in this paper we propose a modification of the TOPSIS algorithm which develops the above idea and which can also be used as a linguistic classifier. In this new development, modifications to the classic algorithm have been considered which enable linguistic outputs and which can be checked through the inclusion of an applied example to demonstrate the goodness of the new model proposed.  相似文献

In this paper the problem of H dynamic feedback control for fuzzy dynamic systems has been studied. First the problem of H dynamic feedback controller designs for complex nonlinear systems, which can be represented by Takagi‐Sugeno (T‐S) fuzzy systems, is presented. Second, based on a Lyapunov function, four new dynamic feedback H fuzzy controllers are developed by adequately considering the interactions among all fuzzy sub‐systems and these dynamic feedback H controllers can be obtained by solving a set of suitable linear matrix inequalities. We present a new methodology for designing low‐gain linear time‐invariant (LTI) controllers for semi‐global stabilization of an LTI plant with actuator saturation, which is based on the representation of a proper LTI feedback using a pre‐compensator‐plus‐static‐output‐feedback architecture. The stabilisation of dynamical systems with input delay by an extended predictor feedback controller is investigated. After considering a more general case of the predictor feedback controllers, the design procedure is transformed into the stabilisation problem of the system controlled by a dynamic output feedback controller. By proposing appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, the predictor feedback gains are then synthesised from the stability conditions which are obtained in form of linear matrix inequalities. Such design approach is more flexible and extendable in comparison to one used by the conventional predictor feedback control. As a simulation example, the designed extended predictor feedback controller is applied on an active suspension system and is used to stabilise an unstable system with input delays. The obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of the design method.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of output‐feedback‐guaranteed cost controller design for uncertain time‐delay systems. The uncertainty in the system is assumed to be norm‐bounded and time‐varying. The time‐delay is allowed to enter the state and the measurement equations. A linear quadratic cost function is considered as a performance measure for the closed‐loop system. Necessary and sufficient conditions are provided for the construction of a guaranteed cost controller. These conditions are given in terms of the feasibility of LMIs which depend on a positive definite matrix and a scaling variable. This paper presents an irrelevant variability normalization (IVN) approach to jointly discriminative training of feature transforms and multi-prototype based classifier for recognition of online handwritten Chinese characters. A sample separation margin based minimum classification error criterion is adopted in IVN-based training, while an Rprop algorithm is used for optimizing the objective function. For the IVN approach based on piecewise linear transforms, the corresponding recognizer can be made both compact and efficient by using a two-level fast-match tree whose internal nodes coincide with the labels of feature transforms. Furthermore, the IVN system using weighted sum of linear transforms outperforms that based on piecewise linear transforms. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is first confirmed using an in-house developed online Chinese handwriting corpus with a vocabulary of 9306 characters, and then further verified on a standard benchmark database for an online handwritten character recognition task with a vocabulary of 3755 characters.  相似文献

This paper revisits the static output‐feedback stabilization problem of continuous‐time linear systems from a novel perspective. The closed‐loop system is represented in an augmented form, which facilitates the parametrization of the controller matrix. Then, new equivalent characterizations on stability and ?? performance of the closed‐loop system are established in terms of matrix inequalities. On the basis of these characterizations, a necessary and sufficient condition with slack matrices for output‐feedback stabilizability is proposed, and an iteration algorithm is given to solve the condition. An extension to output‐feedback ?? control is provided as well. The effectiveness and merits of the proposed approach are shown through several examples.
