基于Web 2.0的智能内容分发网络(ICDN)研究初探

Web 2.0时代下,基于C/S的系统模型将受到挑战,作为网络结构的边缘点的Client将与Server越来越对等化,基于P2P的网络将大大提升网能放大作用,但是其无序性特征却给电信骨干网带来较大冲击。新兴的内容分发网络(CDN,Content Delivery Network)虽然具有较强的结构化特点,但是其放大能力受扩展成本的限制。本文针对这两种结构互异网络的优劣势,在CDN网络基础上,融合了Web 2.0理念,提出了ICDN(Intelligent Content Delivery Network)网络概念,并给出了边缘融合、中心融合和混合融合等三种模型。最后,对该网络结构模型的应用进行了展望。

Abstract

Story grammar was a fairly hot topic in artificial intelligence (AI) from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. Now, however, it has virtually disappeared as a research issue in AI. The process of science is one where theories are proposed, experiments are conducted, hypotheses are tested, theories are revised and, ultimately, theories are either accepted or rejected. The story grammar story is surveyed with a view towards describing what it was, and explaining what happened to it, from the perspective of the scientific process.

Simulating human cognition: A ghost story

The intentions to simulate human cognition are permanently increasing. Nonetheless, our knowledge about human cognition is based on fragments of different points of view. Hence, it is necessary to examine which demands these points of view make on technologies aiming at simulating human cognition. In this paper it is argued that no technology can function beyond the cognitive abilities of its constructor. It seems that the cognitive limits and constrains of the constructor will also be implanted in the technologies. It is perhaps the right time to think about what kind of future we are going to create by means of an artificial cognition built upon fragmentary, and many times confusing, premises.     

Hackers beware: the cautionary story of Gary McKinnon

The law of extradition was changed following the 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. Subsequent practice has seen the range of extraditable offences expand to include acts not traditionally regarded as terrorist crimes. The case of Gary McKinnon provides one such example. This article describes and analyses the facts and law surrounding the extradition of McKinnon, and concludes that those involved in cyberspace in the United Kingdom should be very conscious of the long arm of United States criminal law.
