Transform Schemes Applied on Non-Finish-to-Start Logical Relationships in Project Network Diagrams

Critical path analysis on a project network having non-finish-to-start (FS) logical relationships with lags is generally referred to as precedence diagram method (PDM). A PDM-based scheduling analysis is facilitated by mainstream project scheduling software (such as P3). However, PDM compounds total float determination and interpretation, potentially causing anomalous effects on critical path identification. In the present research, we generalize those particular circumstances that entail applying non-FS logical relationships on construction projects. We then propose generic transform schemes such that non-FS relationships in a PDM network can be detected and transformed—automatically—into equivalent FS. Moreover, we provide analytical proofs for the transform schemes being proposed to justify the logical equivalency between the original PDM network and the transformed activity-on-node (AON) network only having FS logical relationships. A PDM network example demonstrates that confusions would arise in interpreting P3’s critical path analysis results, but not in the case of the transformed AON counterpart. In conclusion, the transform schemes being proposed lead to better understanding of the scheduling results when critical path analysis is performed on a PDM network. This also paves the way for conducting further sophisticated scheduling analysis (such as resource loading or Monte Carlo simulation) on a PDM network.

Review of Integrating individual and family therapy.

Reviews the book, Integrating individual and family therapy by Larry Feldman (see record 1992-97185-000). In this book, Larry Feldman takes the position that integration of individual and family therapy concepts and treatment is not only possible but is therapeutically preferable and more effective than individual or family therapy alone. The author maintains the importance of understanding both the intrapsychic and interpersonal variables that stimulate and reinforce the problems of the individual client. This book makes an important contribution in an area in which knowledge, experience, research and case studies are sparse but needed. His case studies were too brief to provide the detailed knowledge a clinician needs in order to learn his model. Although he presents no real data or rates of success or failure of the integration of these approaches, he has made a good beginning in outlining an important treatment approach and raising the questions needed to further develop such a model. Feldman's ideas are stimulating and will add information to the debate about the separation or the integration of individual and family therapy. 75t/h锅炉烟气脱硫装置设计与应用

对山东铝业公司热电厂75 t／h锅炉水膜除尘器进行了喷淋——旋流板塔脱硫除尘一体化改造研究，使其在保持原有水膜除尘器特点和功能的情况下增加其脱硫功能，提高除尘效率。通过实验对铝行业利用废碱液脱硫除尘(以废治废)的可行性进行了探讨。热电厂的实际应用表明改造方案是经济的，技术上是可行的，脱硫效率80％以上，除尘效果达98％以上，为以废治废提供了参考依据。     

Psychotherapy Integration: Reflections and Contributions From a Constructivist Epistemology.

This article describes the different traditions within the psychotherapy integration movement. It begins by providing a constructivist view of the factors that influenced the movement's development. It distinguishes among pragmatic, theoretically guided, and systematic technical eclecticisms. Also, it differentiates between hybrid and extended models of theoretical integration. Finally, the article covers the common factors perspective. For each of these types of psychotherapy integration, a series of constructivist contributions is presented. Further, constructivism has generated a new modality of psychotherapy integration known as theoretically progressive integration, based on the combination of approaches that are epistemologically compatible. Psychotherapy integration in internships and counseling psychology doctoral programs.

Training directors from APA-accredited internships and counseling psychology doctoral programs reported on the status of doctoral training in psychotherapy integration. A mail survey was used to assess several areas related to psychotherapy integration, such as didactic and clinical training, faculty/staff theoretical orientation and hiring practices, student competency and evaluation, directors' beliefs about integrative/eclectic training, and internship admissions. Overall results show a positive attitude toward psychotherapy integration in predoctoral training and suggest that the foundations for further student development in psychotherapy integration exist. Review of Comprehensive handbook of psychotherapy integration.

Reviews the book, Comprehensive handbook of psychotherapy integration by George Stricker and Jerold R. Gold (see record 1993-97695-000). In the Preface to this text, the editors express their expectation that "this volume will serve as an up-to-date and exhaustive overview of the status of ongoing scholarly and clinical work in the integration of the major schools of psychotherapy" (p. ix). Such introductory comments are commonly found in the "handbook" genre, yet such expectations are seldom met to the satisfaction of many reviewers. Nevertheless, with an open mind I plunged into this 560-page, doubled-columned, 37-chapter volume. I will admit that I was somewhat devilishly compelled to find some topic mat I could consider less than exhaustively reviewed. Well, did I find the volume exhaustive? The answer is yes! This is a marvelous volume. It should be mandatory reading for students in advanced counseling and psychotherapy courses. Initially, one would think its value is as a reference text, and indeed, all practicing psychotherapists should have a copy of this volume on their shelves. But, this volume provides such a useful series of pragmatic chapters, I believe that advanced students would prosper as well. True integration occurs on both the theoretical and practical levels.
