In this paper, a moving finite element (MFE) method is proposed to perform the dynamic analysis of a simply supported beam for a moving mass (MM). The MFE method treats the moving mass as a moving part of the entire system, so that the transverse inertial effects caused by the moving mass may easily be taken into account. The solution to the beam’s dynamic behaviors including its displacement is obtained via a Newmark-β method; the effects of the velocity and weight of the MM on the beam’s dynamic behaviors are further discussed. The numerical examples show that the inertial effects of the MM significantly affect the transverse responses of the simply supported beam.  相似文献

A finite element formulation based on an enhanced first order shear deformation theory is developed to accurately and efficiently predict the behavior of laminated composite and sandwich structures. An enhanced first order shear deformation theory is systematically derived by minimizing the least-squared energy error between the first order shear deformable plate theory and a higher order shear deformable plate theory. In this way, the strain energy of a higher order theory is transformed to that of the Reissner-Mindlin plate theory. This minimization procedure yields a relationship between them that is also used to improve the accuracy of predicted stresses and displacements. The key feature of the proposed theory is in that it can be implemented to commercial FEM packages by simply changing the input, and the results obtained can be also enhanced by post-processing them via a differential quadrature method. Thus, a proposed finite element formulation can be widely used in various application problems. Through numerical examples, the accuracy and robustness of the present formulation are demonstrated.  相似文献

The influence of elastic shear deformation on the transverse shear response of a fully clamped beam is investigated in the present paper. The beam is made from a rigid, perfectly plastic material and subjected to a uniformly distributed pressure pulse loading. The elastic shear deformation is idealized by an elastic, perfectly plastic spring with a constant spring coefficient. Analytical solutions are obtained for the transverse shear response, which are then used to predict the occurrence of a transverse shear failure. The method presented in the paper may be extended to study the blast-induced shear failure of other structural elements when the elastic shear deformation needs to be considered.  相似文献

In this study, based on the reduced from of elasticity displacement field for a long laminate, an analytical method is established to exactly obtain the interlaminar stresses near the free edges of generally laminated composite plates under the extension and bending. The constant parameters, which describe the global deformation of a laminate, are properly computed by means of the improved first-order shear deformation theory. Reddy's layerwise theory is subsequently utilized for analytical and numerical examinations of the boundary layer stresses within arbitrary laminated composite plates. A variety of numerical results are obtained for the interlaminar normal and shear stresses along the interfaces and through the thickness of laminates near the free edges. Finally the effects of end conditions of laminates on the boundary-layer stress are examined.  相似文献

考虑深沟球轴承径向游隙、离心力等因素,在Hertz理论基础上提出一种分析计算深沟球轴承在径向载荷作用下的动态弹性变形量与动载荷分布的方法;并分析径向载荷、径向游隙对深沟球轴承动态弹性变形量与动载荷的作用规律。发现随着径向载荷的增大,轴承的承载区、最大动态弹性变形量及动载荷相应增大;随着径向游隙的增大,最大动态弹性变形量与动载荷也随之增大,而其承载区减小。对于按照动载荷能力计算深沟球轴承的许用载荷以及估计轴承弹性变形量具有一定工程意义。  相似文献

In this research, mechanical buckling of circular plates composed of functionally graded materials (FGMs) is considered. Equilibrium and stability equations of a FGM circular plate under uniform radial compression are derived, based on the higher order shear deformation plate theory (HSDT). Assuming that the material properties vary as a power form of the thickness coordinate variable z and using the variational method, the system of fundamental partial differential equations are established. A buckling analysis of a functionally graded circular plate (FGCP) under uniform radial compression is carried out and the results are given in closed-form solutions. The results are compared with the buckling loads of plates obtained for FGCP based on the first order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT) and classical plate theory (CPT) given in the literature. The study concludes that HSDT accurately predicts the behavior of FGCP, whereas the FSDT and CPT overestimates buckling loads.  相似文献

Scissor-like element has a number of applications in deployable structures such as planar deployable structure (PDS) and ring deployable structure(RDS). However, the mobility analysis of the multi-loop deployable structures is made more difficulty by the traditional mobility formula, because the deployable structure is a very complex structure with multi-loop. Therefore, On the basis of screw theory, the calculation method of mobility of deployable structures of SLE is thoroughly discussed. In order to investigate the mobility, decomposing and composing structures(DCS) are developed, and the basic units are able to be obtained. On the basis of the deployable structures’ geometrical characteristics, there exists a closed-loop quadrilateral structure and some non-closed-loop quadrilateral structures in PDS. Also, a six legs parallel structure is present in RDS. The basic units’ mobility can be solved by both the methods of screw theory and topology constraint graphs. Then, composing the related basic units, the formula of planar deployable structures’ mobility can be built and solves the mobility of ring deployable structure. The analysis method solves the mobility analysis of the multi-loop deployable structures which is difficulty by the traditional method, and plays an important role in further research about the mobility of other complex deployable structures.  相似文献
