This short paper provides a physical interpretation of the mesh current by demonstrating that it is nothing more than the total current circulating around the associated mesh or "hole" in the network. This point of view implies the possibility of direct measurement of mesh currents by "clamp-on" ammeters. Thus, the student is provided with the conceptual advantage he has long held in the dual situation of nodal analysis, where he could easily visualize direct measurement of the dependent variables. The formulation presented allows the student to consider the mesh current as a "real" rather than "fictitious" currents, and facilitates the transformations between mesh, link, and branch currents. 相似文献

This paper presents measurement results for the random variable "vacuum breakdown voltage", obtained by the application of pulse, dc, and ac voltage. Parameters varied during the measurements were: 1) vacuum pressure and 2) inter-electrode gap width. The measurements were performed under strictly controlled laboratory conditions. Conclusions about the influence that the variable parameters in the experiment exert on the parameters of theoretical statistical distributions have been drawn, based on the statistical analysis of the obtained experimental results. The obtained results have been explained by the mechanisms constituting the process of electrical breakdown in vacuum. 相似文献

Sources of transient voltages or surges due to various phenomena normal to the power station environment are described along with typical waveforms and other parameters of the surges coupled into control circuits. The mechanism by which surges are generated by switching of inductive devices in low voltage control circuits is described in detail. The importance of the contact restrike action in creating and coupling very short duration transients onto the control bus is evident. We discuss the nature of complex number and its effect on complex-valued neural networks (CVNNs). After we review some examples
of CVNN applications, we look back at the mathematical history to elucidate the features of complex number, in particular
to confirm the importance of the phase-and-amplitude viewpoint for designing and constructing CVNNs to enhance the features.
This viewpoint is essential in general to deal with waves such as electromagnetic wave and lightwave. Then, we point out that,
although we represent a complex number as an ordered pair of real numbers for example, we can reduce ineffective degree of
freedom in learning or self-organization in CVNNs to achieve better generalization characteristics. This merit is significantly
useful not only for waverelated signal processing but also for general processing with frequency-domain treatment through
