The downlink capacity of frequency division duplex (FDD) based DS-CDMA system can be improved if multielement antenna array is equipped at the base station. In this paper, a novel two-path downlink beamforming (TPDB) scheme is proposed to reduce multiple access interference as well as providing two-order path diversity in downlink. An analysis model is presented for the capacity evaluation of multirate DS-CDMA system with base station antenna array, and the capacity performance of the TPDB is compared with other schemes based on this model. The comparison results show that the TPDB would be a promising candidate for the downlink transmission if both performance and implementation complexity are considered. Moreover, a simple algorithm is proposed for the steering vector estimation in the TPDB, and the robustness of this estimation algorithm in the presence of fading and interference is also confirmed by computer simulations. 相似文献

A beam design method based on signal‐to‐leakage‐plus‐noise ratio (SLNR) has been recently proposed as an effective scheme for multiuser multiple‐input multiple‐output downlink channels. It is shown that its solution, which maximizes the SLNR at a transmitter, can be simply obtained by the generalized eigenvectors corresponding to the dominant generalized eigenvalues of a pair of covariance matrices of a desired signal and interference leakage plus noise. Under time‐varying channels, however, generalized eigendecomposition is required at each time step to design the optimal beam, and its level of complexity is too high to implement in practical systems. To overcome this problem, a predictive beam design method updating the beams according to channel variation is proposed. To this end, the perturbed generalized eigenvectors, which can be obtained by a perturbation theory without any iteration, are used. The performance of the method in terms of SLNR is analyzed and verified using numerical results. 相似文献

提出了一种下行多用户MIMO系统中的鲁棒性线性处理算法.该算法利用了信道均值和天线相关矩阵等信道统计信息,在总发射功率不大于目标值的约束条件下,能够使所有用户的均方误差(total mean square error,TMSE)在随机信道上的平均值最小.该算法不明显依赖瞬时信道信息(channel state information,CSI),当信道估计得到的CSI不准确时,它能够有效降低由CSI偏差带来的性能损失.仿真结果表明提出的算法能够有效地降低由于不准确CSI带来的误码率和平均MSE的损失. 相似文献

本文基于最大信号噪声比准则(MSNR,Maximum Signal Noise Ratio)提出一种新的下行波束形成方法,即根据天线收发的互易性原理,通过上行波束形成得到的上行天线阵列矢量,变换而得到下行天线阵列矢量,再通过移动端Rake接收机的合作,反馈回每一径的衰落系数,考虑到存在传输和处理时延并且在此时间内信道有明显变化时,反馈的衰落系数存在误差。因此,本文采用了信道预测的方法,估计即时衰落系数,这样求得期望信号的相关矩阵,计算相应的最大广义特征值所对应的特征矢量,进行下行波束形成。 相似文献

This paper considers the wireless downlink transmissions in a single cell environment, for which the base station (BS) is assumed to schedule its transmission to each mobile station (MS) on a time-slot basis. Only one MS is selected for transmission during each time-slot and the selected MS possibly changes from one time-slot to another. This transmission scheme is thus referred to as dynamic time-division multiple-access (D-TDMA). Random transmit beamforming with the feedback of effective signal-to-noise ratio (ESNR) was proposed by Viswanath and Tse [IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, Vol. 48, No. 6, pp. 1277–1294, 2002] for D-TDMA-based systems in which multiple transmit antennas are equipped at the BS but only single receive antenna is equipped at each MS, or the so-called “MISO” systems. It was also shown in [Viswanath and Tse, 2002] that when the number of MSs in the system becomes large, the system throughput achieved by random transmit beamforming converges to that by coherent transmit beamforming which, however, requires the complete channel state information (CSI) of each MS at the BS. This paper extends upon the work in [Viswanath and Tse, 2002] to a more general scenario for which multiple transmit antennas and multiple receive antennas are equipped at the BS and each MS, respectively, or the so-called “MIMO” systems. We also consider several linear and nonlinear receiver structures and propose novel power allocation schemes to further improve the achievable system throughput. The throughput performance of the proposed receivers and power allocations schemes is compared through computer simulations and their fast convergence to the system throughput by coherent transmit beamforming is demonstrated.

A smart antenna concept was studied in the context of a GSM1800 downlink. In practice, it is not possible to estimate the actual downlink channel when using frequency division duplexing (FDD). Therefore, the current approach is based on uplink direction-of-arrival (DoA) estimation. The downlink beam is then directed to the DoA obtained from the uplink. The purpose was to study the dependence of downlink performance on the angular and delay distribution of the desired signal. The downlink beamforming was studied in this work using simulations with 2D channel models for different test environments. The probability of error in DoA estimation of the desired mobile station was evaluated in conjunction with DoA averaging. In addition, downlink BER performance was examined in a noise-limited situation and compared to the results of the corresponding uplink and a conventional 2-branch GSM receiver. With a 1*8-element antenna configuration, downlink performance degradation compared to the corresponding uplink case was approximately 1.3 dB, 2.4 dB, and 0 dB in typical Urban, Suburban, and Rural environments. The losses were greater in environments with very large angular spread. It was also found that increasing accuracy in uplink DoA estimation does not necessarily correspond to improved downlink performance. 相似文献

大规模多输入多输出(Massive MIMO)技术通过在基站端配置大规模天线能有效提升5G蜂窝系统容量。考虑信道估计误差对系统性能的影响,该文在多小区大规模MIMO系统中形成了用户信干噪比的非溢出概率约束下最小化系统功率的优化问题。针对非凸概率约束中下行波束难于求解的问题,该文根据矩阵迹的性质将优化问题中的非凸约束缩放,进而提出上下行对偶算法求解波束矢量。为进一步减少多小区系统中信令开销,基于大系统分析,提出了仅采用大尺度信息的分布式算法。仿真结果表明,所提的分布式算法与对偶算法相比,在保证用户信干噪比的概率约束时,降低了大规模MIMO系统中传输瞬时信道状态信息的开销,同时具有良好的鲁棒性。 相似文献

为保证多播服务质量(QoS)要求,建议一种所有组成员满足信号与干扰加噪声比(SINR)门限的功率约束下多输入多输出-正交频分复用(MIMO-OFDM)波束成形优化模型,提出在最大化多播MIMO分集策略下接收波成形算法,并得到发射波成形和接收波成形矢量及满足QoS要求所需最小发射功率。通过仿真与性能分析,证明满足最小SINR要求的波成形优化方法不仅能得到最小发射功率,同时具有改善多播用户间公平性的特性,并得到一些重要结论。 相似文献

文章研究多用户MIMO下行链路中线性预编码器和译码器的联合优化问题。采用的优化准则是在总发射功率约束下最小化系统的和均方误差(Sum MSE,SMSE),提出了一种启发式的迭代算法。通过在接收端引入相同的自动增益控制因子,该算法对预编码器和译码器进行交替优化,直到SMSE达到最小值。分析和仿真结果表明:该算法具有较低的复杂度和良好的收敛特性,符号差错率也优于现有算法。 相似文献
