Java标准组件JEditorPane支持HTML3.2标准,但不支持被广泛采用的HTML4.0标准,无法表达网页中嵌入的多媒体信息。为此提出了一个基于本地浏览器的JavaAWT浏览器组件设计方案,采用Socket在本地浏览器和Java虚拟机之间进行通信,利用Java的AWT本地接口将浏览器组件嵌入JavaAWT/Swing应用程序,实现了在Java应用程序中提供网络浏览器的功能。  相似文献

WIRED (World-Wide Web Interactive Remote Event Display) is a framework, written in the Java language, for building High Energy Physics event displays. An event display based on the WIRED framework enables users of a HEP collaboration to visualise and analyse events remotely using ordinary WWW browsers, on any type of machine. In addition, event displays using WIRED may provide the general public with access to the research of high energy physics.The recent introduction of the object-oriented Java language enables the transfer of machine independent code across the Internet, to be safely executed by a Java enhanced WWW browser. We have employed this technology to create a remote event display in WWW. The combined Java—WWW technology hence assures a world wide availability of such an event display, an always up-to-date program and a platform independent implementation, which is easy to use and to install.  相似文献

World Wide Web Consortium is currently specifying XForms form language, which is intended to be the next generation language for WWW forms. In XForms, content is separated from presentation. Thus, forms can be versioned easily for different purposes. In addition, the form fields can be pre- and auto-filled. Finally, XForms allows the validation of the data at the client side before it is send to the server. The major browsers do not currently support XForms, which prevents the early utilisation of XForms. In this paper, we describe our implementation of XForms. The implementation is part of our X-Smiles browser, which is an open source XML browser.  相似文献

The world wide web (WWW) has made hypermedia applications widespread. Originally, the WWW was used only for ‘freestyle’, unrestricted browsing and its foundation technologies reflect this. Now, developers are working on more advanced hypermedia for new application domains. Improvements in graphical user interfaces, adaptive guidance and integrated navigation support are the main objectives. In this paper, we present Java as a mature implementation language for advanced Internet hypermedia. A minimalistic Java approach (MJA) towards development is introduced. MJA integrates Java with existing object-oriented hypermedia design methodologies. MJA is illustrated with HyperMap, a browser application for spatial hypermedia.  相似文献

This paper presents WebGALAXY, a flexible multi-modal user interface system that allows wide access to selected information on the World Wide Web (WWW) by integrating spoken and typed natural language queries and hypertext navigation. WebALAXY extends our GALAXY spoken language system, a distributed client-server system for retrieving information from online sources through speech and natural language. WebGALAXY supports a spoken user interface via a standard telephone line as well as a graphical user interface via a standard Web browser using either Java/JavaScript or a cgi-bin/forms front end. Natural language understanding is performed by the system and information servers retrieve the requested information from various online resources including WWW servers, Gopher servers and CompuServe. Currently, queries about three domains are supported: weather, air travel, and points of interest around Boston.  相似文献

在现有阶段,如何实现由IPv4向IPv6过渡以及由此而产生的过渡机制成为了一个研究热点。考虑到Firefox是一个免费的、跨Windows,MacOSX及Linux等平台的浏览器,即以Firefox浏览器技术为立足点,以Java语言作为开发工具,Windows操作系统作为平台,在双协议栈主机中,借鉴传统的IPv4传输层代理机制,对IPv4和IPv6协议进行转换,利用socket的独立于网络协议的特性,通过软件的编写,修改socket套接字中的某些参数,让代理服务器调用系统的IPv6协议栈来通信,实现接入IPv6。  相似文献

Consistency is a commonly accepted but sometimes problematic design goal. External and internal consistency may conflict, and sometimes the best solution is inconsistent in both respects. We describe user interface design issues and several usability studies for the Nokia 9000 Communicator WWW browser and for WWW pages optimised for the browser. The results show how within the same, restricted design domain, different forms of consistency have to be favoured over others in solving various design problems.  相似文献
