针对时分波分复用无源光网络(TWDM-PON)多个光线路终端(OLT)间资源缺乏协同集中调度问题,该文提出一种带有软件定义的基于带宽预测的资源分配策略(RABP)。在光线路终端间,设计粒子群优化的BP神经网络模型预测各光线路终端所需带宽,避免了控制器与光线路终端信息交互时延对资源分配实时性的影响;其次,在光线路终端内,动态设定滑动周期并基于光网络单元授权信息实时统计资源池共享带宽,同时,设计负载均衡的波长调度机制实现多波长的高效利用。仿真结果表明,该策略提高了信道资源利用率,降低了平均包时延。  相似文献

In this paper, we have proposed one wavelength assignment strategy for optical networks which assigns the wavelength according to minimum connection count. The performance of proposed strategy is compared with the most commonly used strategy among the existing strategies in terms of number of searches to find the wavelength for connection establishment. The searching takes the time and directly affects the connection establishment time. The simulation is done using different network models. The results show that the proposed strategy is much better than existing strategy in terms of number of searches required to find a wavelength for establishing the connection and hence connection establishment time reduces.  相似文献

An inter-domain routing and signaling scheme based on the OBGP protocol for WDM networks with a mesh topology is proposed in the paper. For mesh networks with wavelength conversion, inter-domain routing and signaling are realized by introducing a new message based on an optimal path identifier (OPI) and by establishing the corresponding message-exchange procedures. Considering the wavelength continuity constraint, a strategy called improved destination wavelength assignment (IDWA) combined with the OPI-based message is presented to establish a lightpath dynamically. The scheme is verified on the NSFNET and the CERNET by simulation. Results show that the blocking performance of a non-wavelength-conversion network is even a little lower than that of a wavelength-conversion network.  相似文献

针对光核心传送网中单纤场景下的路由选择与波长分配(Routing and Wavelength Assignment,RWA)问题,提出了一种邻域加权累积的波长分配策略。在一条路径上为一个连接请求选择波长时,将网络的所有链路归入当前路径的不同邻域中,然后根据与路径之间的距离为不同邻域赋予不同的权重,进而对每个波长在全网中被占用的个数进行加权累积,最后选择累积值最大的可用波长建立连接。仿真结果表明,相对于现有的阻塞率最低的最大使用(Most-Used)波长分配策略,所提策略具有更低的阻塞率。  相似文献

A dynamic equilibrated heuristic algorithm based on the D* principle and mixed-strategy game theory is proposed to resolve the restoration problem at the wavelength level in an automatically switched optical network (ASON). The cost of each edge and the wavelength occupancy was taken into account comprehensively. Nash equilibration between wavelength occupancy and path cost is solved and the evaluation function of the D* algorithm is constructed dynamically using game theory with a mixed strategy. Then, the system restores broken connections rapidly through dynamic route and wavelength assignment (RWA) and ensures a more balanced distribution of network resources in the process of dynamic channel restoration. Simulation results show that the blocking probability is reduced and the restoration probability is promoted effectively by this algorithm. In addition, the rapid and intelligent performance behavior of this algorithm can meet the requirements of restoration time.  相似文献

An efficient dynamic multicast traffic-grooming algorithm for WDM networks   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
With the growth of multi-granularity multicast applications, there comes into being a huge gap between the bandwidth of a wavelength provided and a multicast traffic required in the wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) networks. The dynamic multicast traffic-grooming is an effective way for WDM networks to improve the wavelength utilization and decrease the traffic blocking probability. A novel switching node architecture with the multicast switching matrix and traffic-grooming fabric is studied in the paper. Then, an efficient dynamic multicast traffic-grooming algorithm is proposed for the architecture. According to the ratio of network available grooming port number to network transceiver number, the proposed algorithm estimates whether the traffic-grooming port is a scarce resource for input traffic and chooses the appropriate grooming strategy. If the traffic-grooming port is scarce, the minimized use grooming port strategy is designed for the coming traffic. On the contrary, the minimized use node transceiver strategy is applied for the coming traffic. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can groom traffic efficiently with low blocking probability and high network throughput constraint by limiting number of node transceivers and grooming ports.  相似文献

A new extended signaling and traffic engineering method for the GMPLS-based photonic and electrical multilayer router (Hikari router) is proposed. The method allows dynamic optical network management and photonic signal recovery, such as regeneration, reshaping, etc., to be realized adaptively. Wavelength conversion is also adaptive, which reduces network cost. Multilayer traffic engineering, which yields the dynamic cooperation of IP and photonic layers, is described to provide IP services cost effectively. To realize multilayer traffic engineering, we propose the OSPF extension, which advertises both the number of total wavelengths and the number of unused wavelengths, and the RSVP-TE extension, which minimizes the number of wavelength conversions needed. In addition, this paper proposes a heuristics-based multilayer topology design scheme that uses IP traffic measurements in a generalized multi-protocol label switch (GMPLS). The proposed scheme yields the optical label switch path (OLSP) network topology, that is, OLSP placement, that minimizes network cost, in response to fluctuations in IP traffic demand. In other words, the OLSP network topology is dynamically reconfigured to match IP traffic demand. This paper considers the problem of wavelength conversion in optical networks using wavelength division multiplexing technique. In the previous literature, two main wavelength routing and assignment strategies have been introduced: wavelength path (WP) and virtual wavelength path (VWP), depending on whether the signal stays on the same wavelength or is converted to another during its travel throughout the network. While the former method does not require any wavelength conversion, the latter needs wavelength conversion in each optical node and, in particular, a wavelength converter per each signal handled by the node itself. From the previous literature emerged that the VWP leads to optical cross-connect (OXC) with lower dimensions compared to the ones required by the WP scheme, and that the difference between the WP and VWP schemes increases as the number of wavelengths carried by each fiber increases. In this paper a new strategy is introduced, named partial virtual wavelength path (PVWP), with the related wavelength routing and assignment algorithm, which makes limited use of wavelength conversion compared to the VWP scheme, and allows the same advantages of VWP to be attained with lower OXC dimensions. The paper reports a comparative analysis among the different strategies, considering both the cases of a network without failures and a network with the possibility of failure restoration. The main result is that the proposed PVWP strategy allows the same advantages of the VWP scheme with a strongly reduced number of wavelength converters (around 5% of the number required by VWP scheme). This figure does not vary appreciably if failure restoration is considered. The new strategy can be adopted by using an opportune OXC architecture, as illustrated in the paper, which allow a limited number of converters to be shared among all the channels as a common pool.  相似文献

在将自动交换光网络(ASON)建模成着色多重图的基础上采用综合成本策略,设计了一种新的最小综合成本路径计算算法,并结合组播成员的动态变化特性提出一种满足多条件约束的动态组播路由(DMRMC)算法,使组播路由和波长分配在同一过程内完成,且尽可能使组播树的综合总成本最小,同时局部优化波长转换次数、分光次数和不同波长的使用数量。仿真实验表明,本文算法有效可行,与采用单成本策略的组播算法相比,其取得了更低的综合成本和更好的连接阻塞性能。  相似文献

This paper proposes and evaluates a four-wave mixing (FWM) aware evolutionary programming algorithm for dynamically setting up lightpaths in an optical wavelength division multiplexed network (WDM network). The proposed algorithm also considers the effect of amplified spontaneous emission noise (ASE noise) on a lightpath during propagation of the optical signal from any source to the intended destination. As crosstalk due to FWM and ASE noise are two transmission impairments that degrade the quality of optical signal even at low to medium data rates, it is mandatory for an algorithm for dynamic routing and wavelength assignment in a WDM network to consider the effect of these two impairments on the lightpath to be established. The distinguishing feature of the proposed algorithm is that it is based on an initial population of a single individual and uses a fitness function that is expressed in terms of the number of hops, path cost, variance contributions due to FWM crosstalk, amplifier noise, and different beat noises at the receiver. The performance of a newly introduced FWM aware priority-based wavelength assignment technique is compared with few of the existing wavelength assignment techniques in the present work.  相似文献

Dynamic routing and wavelength assignment problem in optical networks is a two-step problem that is influenced by the choice of a successful optimal path selection and wavelength assignment. Proper selection techniques reduce the number of wavelengths required in the network and thereby improves traffic grooming. Heuristic algorithms and integer linear programming models help in selection of route and wavelength separately. Hence, the computation time is large which makes the system slow. A cost function is computed which uses independent parameters in the network for the selection of route and wavelength for a call. The heuristic reduces computation time by combining the search of route and wavelength to be assigned. In addition, the network performance is analyzed with and without alternate routing along with proposed heuristics. The selection of proper route and wavelength finding technique is very essential since it improves the grooming factor of the network thereby allowing more traffic support by the network. Our objective is to investigate and propose a cost based heuristics for dynamic traffic routing and wavelength Assignment in WDM optical networks. For this we plan to develop cost functions and heuristics to compute the route and wavelength assignment strategy. Here, our objective is to reduce the computation time for selection of route and wavelength assignment strategy by weighted cost function. The function has to include network parameters for its processing. Our work provides an overview about DRWA by applying cost based heuristics in WDM networks. This paper explains the proposed cost function and its applications in line with selection of independent parameters. The details of other functions like cost function formulation, hop-based route assignment, available wavelength based route assignment, mathematical analysis of proposed cost function are also explained. Results and discussions based on the findings are presented.

In a network virtualization environment, a significant research problem is that of virtual network embedding. As the network virtualization system is distributed in nature, an effective solution on how to optimally embed a dynamically generated virtual network request on the substrate networks that are owned and managed by multiple infrastructure providers needs proper attention. The problem is computationally hard, and therefore, many approaches, implying heuristics/meta‐heuristics, have been applied for the same. A meta‐heuristic, Artificial Bee Colony algorithm is getting popular due to its robustness toward complex problem solving. A novel approach based on Artificial Bee Colony to address the dynamic virtual network embedding problem in a multiple infrastructure provider scenario is proposed in this work. Bee population is initialized by using a greedy heuristic in which the number of substrate networks together with virtual network requests constructs a bee. Generated solution, in the population, is improvised by using greedy selection that explores a local search method adopted by the bees. In greedy selection, the new candidate source is memorized by the bee if its fitness is better than the fitness of the existing source. The performance study of the proposed model is done by simulation over various metrics such as embedding cost, embedding time, and acceptance ratio. A comparative study is conducted with other nature‐inspired virtual network embedding algorithms on these metrics. The findings affirm that the proposed virtual network embedding approach performs well and produces better results.  相似文献

We consider the routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) problem on wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) networks without wavelength conversion. When the physical network and required connections are given, RWA is the problem to select a suitable path and wavelength among the many possible choices for each connection such that no two paths using the same wavelength pass through the same link. In WDM optical networks, there is need to maximize the number of connections established and to minimize the blocking probability using limited resources. This paper presents efficient RWA strategies, which minimizes the blocking probability. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed strategies is much better than the existing strategy.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider wavelength rerouting in wavelength routed wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) networks with circuit switching, wherein lightpaths between source-destination pairs are dynamically established and released in response to a random pattern of arriving connection requests and connection holding times. The wavelength continuity constraint imposed by WDM networks leads to poor blocking performance. Wavelength rerouting is a viable and cost effective mechanism that ran improve the blocking performance by rearranging certain existing lightpaths to accommodate a new request. Recently, a rerouting scheme called “parallel move-to-vacant wavelength retuning (MTV-WR)” with many attractive features such as shorter disruption period and simple switching control, and a polynomial time rerouting algorithm, for this scheme, to minimize the weighted number of rerouted lightpaths have been proposed. This paper presents a time optimal rerouting algorithm for wavelength-routed WDM networks with parallel MTV-WR rerouting scheme. The algorithm requires only O(N2W) time units to minimize the weighted number of existing lightpaths to be rerouted, where N is the number of nodes in the network and W is the number of wavelength channels available on a fiber link. Our algorithm is an improvement over the earlier algorithm proposed in that it requires O(N3W+N2W2) time units, which is not time optimal. The simulation results show that our algorithm improves the blocking performance considerably and only very few lightpaths are required to be rerouted per rerouting. It is also established through simulation that our algorithm is faster than the earlier rerouting algorithm by measuring the time required for processing connection requests for different networks  相似文献

针对光传送网中动态业务的路由和波长问题,提出一种基于强化学习的深度路由波长分配算法DeepRWA。算法基于软件定义网络架构,通过强化学习灵活地调整控制光传送网,实现光网络路由波长分配策略优化。针对路由选择问题,结合链路上的波长使用情况,使用A3C算法选择合适的路由,使得阻塞率最小;针对波长分配问题,使用首次命中算法选择波长。考虑阻塞率、资源利用率、策略熵、价值损失、运行时间及收敛速度等多个指标,利用14节点NSFNET网络拓扑仿真实验。结果表明:当信道中包含18个波长时,与传统KSP-FF算法相比,所提出的路由波长分配算法的阻塞率降低了0.06,资源利用率提高了0.02,但运行时间有增加;在波长数超过45以后,与传统KSP-FF算法相比,所提算法保持阻塞率和资源利用率的同时,运行时间开始降低;当信道中包含波长数为58时,与传统KSP-FF算法相比,所提算法运行时间减少了0.07 ms。由此可见,提出的算法使路由选择和波长分配得到了优化。  相似文献

In a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) network, sub-wavelength traffic streams can be elaborately arranged in wavelength channels to minimize the number of required electronic end systems, known as the traffic grooming problem. In this paper, a modified genetic algorithm without crossover operation is proposed to solve the problem using a permutation-based chromosome representation and using a selection strategy of reproducing the best chromosomes, thereby minimizing the number of electronic devices and requiring less wavelengths. Then, three methods are developed to improve the performance of the algorithm and a hill-climbing algorithm is proposed for the same purpose. Computer simulations were performed with plenty of randomly generated traffic patterns in unidirectional rings. The results show that these methods can improve the algorithm considerably. The relationships between the minimized network cost and the number of nodes are also presented.  相似文献

在全光网络中,如何合理利用波长转换来降低光网络的阻塞率是一个非常关键的问题。研究了最新的波长转换体系结构和波长转换手段,提出一种全新的混合波长转换方法,在减少网络中波长转换器个数的同时,维持拥塞概率类似于全波长转换。提出了5种不同的波长转换器使用策略,并利用数值模拟的方法,比较了这5种不同的波长转换器使用策略,分析结果,得出了最小化光网络的阻塞概率的波长转换使用策略。结合混合波长转换和波长转换器使用策略,进一步提出了光网络中优化波长转换器配置的遗传算法,通过对14个节点的美国自然科学基金网(NSF Net)的数值模拟,结果表明它是十分有效的,在减少光网络中波长转换器数量,且不增加光网络波长数量的情况下,基本保持原有网络性能。  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of dynamically provisioning both low-speed unicast and multicast connection requests in mesh-based wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical networks. Several routing/provisioning schemes to dynamically provision both unicast and multicast connection requests are presented. In addition, a constraint-based grooming strategy is devised to utilize the overall network resources as efficiently as possible. Based on this strategy, several different sequential multicast grooming heuristics are first presented. Then, we devise a hybrid grooming approach and combine it with sequential approaches to achieve a grooming scheme that is biased toward serving multicast traffic demands in comparison with all other sequential grooming approaches. To achieve our objective, we decompose the problem into four subproblems: 1) routing problem; 2) light-tree-based logical-topology-design problem; 3) provisioning problem; and 4) traffic-grooming problem. The simulation results of the proposed schemes are compared with each other and with those of conventional nongrooming approaches. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first detailed paper to address and examine the problem of grooming dynamic multicast traffic demands.  相似文献
