随着无线技术发展,无线频谱的接入需求激增与现有无线系统的频谱利用率低下形成矛盾。为了解决该矛盾,提升经济竞争力,美国政府提出了1000MHz的宽带频谱共享计划(即频谱高速公路计划)。针对该计划,本文介绍了其新的频谱结构、频谱使用的度量方法、等级接入方式和接入系统以及基于接收机管理等方面内容。最后给出了总结,并阐述了该计划对我国无线电频谱管理的启示。  相似文献

频谱管理的目的是控制干扰和提高频谱利用率,从而实现频谱使用价值的最大化。随着新的无线电技术和业务对频谱需求的增加,当前的静态频谱管理方法导致频谱拥塞的问题。动态频谱接入能很好地提高频谱利用率,但可能会给通信系统造成一定的干扰。针对这个问题,本文提出了在动态频谱接入的频谱管理中采用基于服务质量的干扰门限设置和基于频谱占用度统计的频谱感知接入,从而在降低干扰的同时提高频谱利用率。  相似文献

The amount-of-information variable, central to the process of communication and decision making, was subjected to experimental study. Results confirm the common belief that people fail to utilize most of the information to which they have access, and suggest that certain kinds of people—as measured by their personality profiles-are exceptionally efficient in the use of available informaton. For communicators, this suggests the advisability of either reducing persuasive appeals to highly succinct forms or rendering messages with sufficient ambiguity to arouse receivers'curiosity, hence their likelihood of ingesting additional, ambiguity-reducing information.  相似文献

The basic purpose of this paper is to identify the potential requirements for maritime satellite communication and position fixing as it relates to both present and future operational systems (e.g., MARISAT, INMARSAT, etc.). Particular emphasis is given to the need for position fixing and ship terminal equipment utilization in national waters, as well as other major aspects. Present MARISAT operation and industry evaluation activities are briefly discussed, highlighting a few major programs and some of the potential benefit area thus far generally identified by the users of MARISAT. A comparison is made between satellite communication and the existing MF/HF system, including direct-printing radio telegraph (marine radio telex). From various standpoints, it appears that maritime satellite systems are more desirable than conventional (nontelex) marine telegraph/telephone. In addition, the improved performance, capability, and potential of satellites could outweigh the slightly lower annual traffic and equipment cost for HF marine telex.  相似文献

The growth of the communication industry has resulted in ever-increasing demands on the radio spectrum. This, in turn, has spurred the exploitation of previously unused frequency bands and the development of techniques for making better use of those already available. In this paper, spectral utilization is examined using the information-theory techniques of Shannon. The power-bandwidth tradeoff for the ideal channel is established and the performance of practical analog and digital modulation techniques is compared with this ideal. It is shown that well-designed systems tend to operate near the "knee" of the power-bandwidth tradeoff curve for the ideal channel and that they are frequently within 10 dB or less of the performance of the ideal.  相似文献

This paper proposes an alternate solution for Ethernet passive optical networks. Our solution uses a novel protocol named full utilization local loop request contention multiple-access protocol to efficiently provide communications in passive optical networks. We study the physical layer implementation, as well as medium access control (MAC) layer protocol performance to illustrate the feasibility and benefit of our solution. The performance studies show that the MAC protocol is capable of offering 95% channel utilization under heavy load conditions. The performance results also indicate that delivery of multimedia traffic with a high quality-of-service can be achieved with our solution.  相似文献

Efficient spectrum utilization in third-generation cellular systems has motivated the study of the traffic adaptive channel allocation problem: given the set of channels, the cell structure and the load to be accommodated in each cell find the optimal allocation of channels to cells, subject to the reuse distance constraints.
