Accelerated electrons delivered by electron beam accelerator were used to fix pigment colors, incorporated in curable formulation containing diluting monomer and an oligomer, to cotton and polyester fabrics. Tetrahydrofurfurfryl acrylate monomer and trifunctional urethane‐methacrylate (TFUMA) oligomer were used as curable base besides ethylene glycol. The fabrics were printed with these formulations and exposed to various doses of electron beam irradiation generated from the 1.5 MeV (25 kW) electron beam accelerator machine. The irradiation dose, formulation composition, and pigment color concentration were studied. The roughness and color fastness to rubbing, washing, and perspiration of the printed fabrics by electron beam irradiation, were compared to the same fabrics printed by conventional pigment printing pastes. The results showed that cotton and polyester fabrics printed with the pigment colors by electron beam irradiation displayed higher color strength than those fabrics printed by the conventional thermal curing at equal pigment color ratios depending on the kind of pigment color. The durability properties, in term of roughness, rubbing, washing, and perspiration of fabrics printed by electron beam irradiation are better than those printed by conventional thermal curing. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Ink jet printers, some capable of producing a full colour gamut, are now widely used as output devices for computer-generated design work. Some advances have been made in the application of these ink jet paper printing technologies to textile printing, mainly for carpets. This review describes the principal jet systems that have been developed commercially for both textile and reprographic uses, and indicates areas in which the ink jet principle appears to have future potential. The physical and chemical requirements of the inks used in the different systems, as well as the possible pretreatment of the substrate to improve ink receptivity and the durability of the print, are also discussed. 相似文献

Vanadium was incorporated into zircon by heating in air and in controlled atmospheres of oxygen. It was found that V2+ could not be incorporated into zircon by firing in a hydrogen atmosphere. Comparison of the absorption spectrum of V3+ in YPO4 with that of blue zircons prepared in air and oxygen atmospheres, with and without fluoride additives, showed that it is highly probable that V4+ is solely responsible for the color of the pigment. Crystal field analysis confirmed the existence of V in the ZrO8 position in the zircon structure. 相似文献

以超细分散染料为着色剂、去离子水为溶剂、丙三醇和乙二醇为保湿剂,采用添加分散剂(MF)、表面活性剂(SF-200)和消泡剂(DF-999)的方法制备了织物印花用喷墨热转印墨水。研究结果表明:采用单因素试验法优选出制备墨水的最佳配方是w(超细分散染料)=10%、w(丙三醇)=10%、w(乙二醇)=5%、w(MF)=5%、w(SF-200)=0.6%、w(DF-999)=0.4%和w(去离子水)=69%(均相对于墨水总质量而言);由最佳配方制备的喷墨热转印墨水具有分散均匀、黏度(为2.24 m Pa·s)适宜和保湿性良好等特点,可用于喷墨印花工艺;将该墨水应用于喷墨转印,当转印温度为200℃、转印时间为30 s时,墨水具有较高的转移率(90.12%)。 相似文献

Nearly 75 black and 25 colored inks consisting of 100% vegetable oil-based vehicles were formulated. The physical properties
of these inks met or exceeded the industry standards for lithographic and letterpress newsprint applications. In addition,
elimination of petroleum-based resin and reduced pigment usage, due to the light vehicle color, provided a competitively priced
alternative to petroleumbased inks.
