本文针对人们通过网络点播新闻的需求,开发了面向Web的新闻视频检索系统NeWeb.该系统由Web服务系统及查询系统组成,前者与客户端交互,将客户端的检索需求传递给查询系统,并将结果以适当的形式返回给用户;后者负责组织新闻视频的内容并执行查询任务.NeWeb集成了基于内容的视频检索技术及Web技术,提高了检索效率,扩展了应用范围. 相似文献

This paper examines the evolution of the World Wide Web as a network of networks and discusses the emergence of Web Science as an interdisciplinary area that can provide us with insights on how the Web developed, and how it has affected and is affected by society. Through its different stages of evolution, the Web has gradually changed from a technological network of documents to a network where documents, data, people and organisations are interlinked in various and often unexpected ways. It has developed from a technological artefact separate from people to an integral part of human activity that is having an increasingly significant impact on the world. Halstead proposed a methodology for studying the process of programming known as software science. This methodology merges theories from cognitive psychology with theories from computer science. There is evidence that some of the assumptions of software science incorrectly apply the results of cognitive psychology studies. HAlstead proposed theories relative to human memory models that appear to be without support from psychologists. Other software scientists, however, report empirical evidence that may support some of those theories. This anomaly places aspects of software science in a precarious position. The three conflicting issues discussed in this paper are 1) limitations of short-term memory and number of sub-routine parameters, 2) searches in human memory and programming effort, and 3) psychological time and programming time. 相似文献

Scientific teamwork collaboration is an integral element of the scientific process that often leads to significant findings. Systematic analysis of scientific teamwork collaboration continues to influence both the advance in science and knowledge production. This paper presents an overview of Science of Scientific Team Science (SSTS). SSTS explores the behaviors and attributes of teamwork and team-based collaboration specific to scientific teams from the perspective of quantitative analysis, which refers to a branch of science that analyzes and discovers scientific collaboration patterns inter- or extra-team. Aiming at assisting scientific team formation, improving collaboration environment, evaluating team performance, and fostering collaborative behaviors, this survey presents an overview in SSTS. Theoretical background of SSTS at different team development stages has been discussed. In addition, three classifications of SSTS, including interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary research approaches have been investigated. Their associated similarities and differences, challenges and benefits, are also examined. This paper also summarizes web-based tools that enhance one’s understanding and opinion of SSTS. Key technologies and open issues are then discussed. The association among scientific collaboration, scientific teamwork, SSTS, and cross-disciplinary research gives rise to critical implications for scholars who wish to employ and invest in those issues. 相似文献
