In this paper, performance of joint transmit and receive antenna selection in each hop of dual hop amplify‐and‐forward relay network is analyzed over flat and asymmetric Nakagami‐m fading channels. In the network, source, relay, and destination are equipped with multiple antennas. By considering relay location, we derive exact closed‐form cumulative distribution function, moment generating function, moments of end‐to‐end signal‐to‐noise ratio and closed form symbol error probability expressions for fixed and channel state information‐based relay gains. We also derive the asymptotical outage probability and symbol error probability expressions to obtain diversity order and array gain of the network. Three design requirements of space‐time block code, full diversity order, full data rate and orthogonality, cannot be achieved simultaneously when the number of transmit antenna is more than two. In this paper, we propose a transmit diversity scheme—circular shifted transmit diversity (CSTD). CSTD can always achieve the full data rate and has very low decoding complexity. Through the performance analysis and simulation comparison in the case of same spectrum efficiency between CSTD and other well‐known proposed schemes, it can be proved that CSTD always significantly outperforms the other transmit diversity schemes with full data rate. Additionally, compared with the transmit diversity schemes with full diversity order, CSTD has lower complexity and approximately the same performance when channel coding is concatenated. 为了提高系统性能并降低接收端(移动台)的硬件复杂度,提出一种新的MIMO传输技术。即在发射端(基站)按最大比发射(MRT,maximal-ratio transmit)技术,接收端则基于信噪比最大的原则仅选择一根接收天线来处理信号,记作MRT/RAS(maximal-ratio transmit/receiver antenna selection)。根据随机矩阵和排序统计的最新理论,推导出瑞利衰落信道下MRT/RAS系统的中断概率、误码率(BER)等性能指标的确切表达式。仿真结果表明MRT/RAS系统可以取得很好的阵列增益及满分集增益。相同频谱条件下,性能超过某些复杂的空时编码系统。而且在准静态衰落信道下,信道估计错误对取得的分集阶数并没有影响。仿真试验也证明了分析结果的正确性。  相似文献

The outage performance of the amplify‐and‐forward relaying strategies over mutually uncorrelated extended generalized‐K fading channels is addressed in this paper. The attention is dedicated to the analyses of the noise‐limited and also interference‐limited environment. The new analytical expression for outage probability of observed relaying system in the presence of thermal noise is derived using the method for approximating equivalent signal‐to‐noise ratio. In addition, the outage performance is studied for the dual‐hop system when only the single dominant co‐channel interference is inherent at the relay and destination node. 研究了混合发射天线选择技术的闭环发射分集系统.针对最大率传输和等增益传输两种传输模式,根据信道矢量衰落损耗系数的排序统计分布特性,分别提出了发射天线数和射频链路数的选择算法.这两个算法可分别使系统所需的发射天线数和射频链路数最小.仿真结果显示合理地选择发射天线数和射频链路数可以大大简化系统的复杂度,减少不必要的开销.针对混合发射天线选择的等增益传输提出了相位扇区化量化算法.这种算法只需少量的量化反馈就可以使系统的性能接近全反馈情况.  相似文献

Hybrid diversity systems have been of great importance because they provide better diversity orders and robustness to the fading effects of wireless communication systems. This paper focuses on the performance analysis of multiple‐input gle‐output systems that employ combined transmit antenna selection (TAS)/maximal‐ratio transmission (MRT) techniques (i.e., hybrid TAS/MRT). The probability density function, the moment generating function and the n th order moments of the output signal‐to‐noise ratio of the investigated diversity scheme are derived for independent identically distributed flat Nakagami‐m fading channels. The system capacity of the hybrid TAS/MRT scheme is examined from the outage probability perspective. Exact bit/symbol error rate (BER/SER) expressions for binary frequency shift keying, M‐ary phase shift keying and square M‐ary quadrature amplitude modulation signals are derived by using the moment generating function‐based analysis method. By deriving the upper bounds for BER/SER expressions, it is also shown that the investigated systems achieve full diversity orders at high signal‐to‐noise ratios. Also, by Monte Carlo simulations, analytical performance results are validated and the effect of feedback delay, channel estimation error and feedback quantization error on BER/SER performances are examined. In this paper, a study on the end‐to‐end performance of multi‐hop non‐regenerative relaying networks over independent generalized‐gamma (GG) fading channels is presented. Using an upper bound for the end‐to‐end signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR), novel closed‐form expressions for the probability density function, the moments, and the moments‐generating function of the end‐to‐end SNR are presented. Based on these derived formulas, lower bounds for the outage and the average bit error probability (ABEP) are derived in closed form. Special attention is given to the low‐ and high‐SNR regions having practical interest as well as to the Nakagami fading scenario. Moreover, the performance of the considered system when employing adaptive square‐quadrature amplitude modulation is further analyzed in terms of the average spectral efficiency, the bit error outage, and the ABEP. 研究了如何通过选择发送天线和天线组合来提高整个多用户多天线系统的性能。本文分别讨论了STOBC、选择式发送分集、相位加权等各种发送信号结构下系统的调度性能。和其它发送信号结构相比,STOBC对于调度性能有着很大危害。信道反馈信息越多,调度性能就越好。不同的发送天线选择和组合策略得到不同的性能。本文讨论了三种选择策略:max-max, max-sum和max-min。max-max的调度性能优于其它两种策略。因此,发送信号的结构和选择策略都严重影响着多用户分集。  相似文献

In this paper, we derive the upper bound of bit‐error rate (BER) performance and diversity gain for a decode‐and‐forward (DF) cooperative system. Either maximal‐ratio combining (MRC) or cooperative MRC (C‐MRC) is employed at the receiver in the presence of independent, non‐identical Nakagami‐m fading. Both analytical and simulation results show that C‐MRC takes advantage of spatial diversity more efficiently and thus achieves the same or better performance and diversity order as compared to MRC. This article analyzes the diversity order of several proposed schemes, where the transmit antenna selection (TAS) strategies are combined with low-complexity decode-and-forward (DF) protocols in the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) relaying scenario. Although antenna selection is a suboptimal form of beamforming, it enjoys the advantages of tractable optimization and low feedback overhead. Specifically, this article proposes schemes that combine TAS strategies with fixed decode-and-forward (FDF) and selection decode-and-forward (SDF) protocols. Following that, the asymptotic expressions of outage probabilities are derived and the diversity order of the proposed schemes analyzed. These kinds of combination of transmit antenna selection strategies and low-complexity decode-and-forward protocols can achieve partial diversity order in the MIMO relaying scenario. In order to enhance the anti-jamming capability of Cyberspace data-link (CDL) in the complex electromagnetic environment, the performance of jamming sensing of simultaneous transmit and receive based cognitive anti-jamming (SCAJ) receiver impaired by IQ imbalance is investigated. Firstly, energy detection (ED) based the jamming detection and false-alarm probabilities in closed-form for single- and multi-channel SCAJ receiver are derived. Then, the image channel interference cancellation (IC) scheme is proposed to mitigate the image channel crosstalk. Simulation results show that the false-alarm probability is increased by IQ imbalance, and the proposed interference cancellation scheme can reduce the adverse effect of IQ imbalance, thus the anti-jamming performance of SCAJ receiver in CDL system can be improved.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance analysis based on PDF approach of an L ‐branch equal gain combiner (EGC) over independent and not necessarily identical Weibull fading channels is presented. Several closed‐form approximate expressions are derived in terms of only one Fox H‐function as PDF, cumulative distribution function, and moments of the EGC output Signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR), outage probability, amount of fading, channel capacity, and the average symbol error rate for various digital modulation schemes. This paper studies the performance of switch and stay combining (SSC) diversity in the presence of co‐channel interference over correlated Weibull fading channels. SSC diversity based on signal‐to‐interference ratio (SIR) is a low‐complexity and a very efficient technique that reduces fading and co‐channel interference influence. New closed‐form expressions for the probability density function and cumulative distribution function of the output SIR's are derived. These formulas are used in a detailed analysis of the average output SIR and outage probability. The influence of fading severity and correlation coefficient on the optimum switching threshold and system performance is investigated. Monte Carlo simulations are performed to verify obtained theoretical results and determine average bit error rate in detecting binary phase‐shift keying (BPSK), differential BPSK and quadrature amplitude modulation signals. In this paper, we present a finite‐signal‐to‐noise ratio (finite‐SNR) framework to establish tight bounds on the diversity‐multiplexing tradeoff of a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system. We focus on a more realistic propagation environment where MIMO channel fading coefficients are correlated and where SNR values are finite. The impact of spatial correlation on the fundamental diversity‐multiplexing tradeoff is investigated. We present tight lower bounds on the outage probability of both spatially uncorrelated and correlated MIMO channels. Using these lower bounds, accurate finite‐SNR estimates of the diversity‐multiplexing tradeoff are derived. These estimates allow to gain insight on the impact of spatial correlation on the diversity‐multiplexing tradeoff at finite‐SNR. As expected, the diversity‐multiplexing tradeoff is severely degraded as the spatial correlation increases. For example, a MIMO system operating at a spectral efficiency of R bps/Hz and at an SNR of 5 dB in a moderately correlated channel, achieves a better diversity gain than a system operating at the same spectral efficiency and at an SNR of 10 dB in a highly correlated channel, when the multiplexing gain r is greater than 0.8. Another interesting point is that provided that the spatial correlation channel matrix is of full rank, the maximum diversity gain is not affected by the spatial correlation. A differential detection scheme for transmit diversity was proposed by Tarokh, which can achieve full diversity order without the requirement to estimate the channel state at the receiver. This paper investigates the potential of using multiple receive antennas for differential space time coded MPSK signals over correlated Nakagami fading channels. We also investigate the effect of the carrier frequency offset (CFO) and channel correlation on its performance and present some results on its maximal tolerable frequency offsets for different MPSK signals. In this paper, error performances of multiple‐input multiple‐output systems that employ Alamouti‐coded transmission with transmit antenna selection are examined for binary phase‐shift keying, binary frequency‐shift keying, M‐ary phase‐shift keying, and M‐ary quadrature amplitude‐modulation signals in independent but non‐identically distributed flat Nakagami‐m fading channels. Exact symbol error rate expressions are derived by using the moment‐generating function‐based analysis method. Upper bound expressions have been obtained in order to examine the asymptotic diversity order of transmit antenna selection/Alamouti scheme. Also, outage probability analysis of investigated systems has been given in order to examine the system capacity. In this paper, the performance of transmission techniques on the fixed‐gain amplify‐and‐forward–based asymmetric radio frequency/free space optical (RF/FSO) communication system is studied. The RF link and FSO link are, respectively, modeled by the Nakagami‐m and Gamma‐Gamma fading channels under the effect of zero boresight and non‐zero boresight pointing errors subject to heterodyne detection. Maximum ratio transmission (MRT) and orthogonal space‐time block coding (OSTBC) techniques are the transmission scenarios considered at the system source while selection combining is used for reception at the relay and destination for the signal detection. Moreover, a unified cumulative density distribution (CDF) of end‐to‐end signal‐to‐noise ratio is derived for the system. By utilizing this channel statistical CDF, the closed‐form expressions for the outage probability and average bit error rate for the M‐ary phase shift keying modulation are then obtained for the system. The analysis presented illustrates that both the atmospheric turbulence and pointing error significantly degrade the system performance. Based on this, the MRT transmission technique offers a better performance compared with the OSTBC techniques under the same system conditions. The accuracy of the analytical results is verified by Monte‐Carlo simulations.  相似文献

A closed‐loop multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) transceiver combining space–time multilayer precoding and transmit selection is proposed. The transmitter design consists in optimizing the number of space–time transmit layers as well as the partitioning of the transmit antennas into the selected number of space–time layers. We show that this problem can be translated into jointly selecting, from a finite alphabet, two transmit matrices that define, respectively, the multilayer space–time code and the antenna mapping to be used. The parametrization of the proposed design takes into account all possible space–time layering schemes in between spatial multiplexing and transmit diversity for a fixed number of transmit antennas and linear precoder structure. Sufficient conditions for solution existence using a linear space–time zero forcing receiver are discussed. Simulation results compare the proposed transceiver with some MIMO schemes and corroborate the benefits of closed‐loop multilayer selection in terms of capacity and bit error rates. Mobile‐to‐mobile (M‐to‐M) communications are expected to play a crucial role in future wireless systems and networks. In this paper, we consider M‐to‐M multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) maximal ratio combining system and assess its performance in spatially correlated channels. The analysis assumes double‐correlated Rayleigh‐and‐Lognormal fading channels and is performed in terms of average symbol error probability, outage probability, and ergodic capacity. To obtain the receive and transmit spatial correlation functions needed for the performance analysis, we used a three‐dimensional (3D) M‐to‐M MIMO channel model, which takes into account the effects of fast fading and shadowing. The expressions for the considered metrics are derived as a function of the average signal‐to‐noise ratio per receive antenna in closed‐form and are further approximated using the recursive adaptive Simpson quadrature method. Numerical results are provided to show the effects of system parameters, such as distance between antenna elements, maximum elevation angle of scatterers, orientation angle of antenna array in the xy plane, angle between the xy plane and the antenna array orientation, and degree of scattering in the xy plane, on the system performance.
