针对异构无线网络中用户希望通过较低的花费获取最满意的网络服务的需求,本文提出了一种以用户为中心的成本感知网络切换方案.首先,根据用户能够获取到的网络传输速率建立用户服务满足度模型,并结合归一化的网络费用,将网络切换问题转化为一个多目标优化问题.考虑到网络阻塞是由于大量用户同时选择同一个网络导致的,将这种背景下的用户决策行为转化为EI Farol酒吧问题,通过求解该问题纳什均衡状态下的用户获取网络服务的概率来得到用户服务满足度的期望值.最后,通过考虑用户服务满足度回报率将所构建的多目标优化问题转化为一个最大化问题.仿真结果表明本文算法能够提高网络总吞吐量,降低用户切换阻塞率,使网络负载更加均衡.  相似文献

针对由超密集异构无线网络的超高动态性而引起掉话率不断增长的问题,并考虑到以往基于模糊逻辑相关垂直切换算法的较大时间开销,该文提出一种改善用户体验的垂直切换算法。首先利用5G核心访问和移动管理功能发现终端附近的所有候选网络,同时,利用自组织网络技术的环境感知能力,随时监测网络的运行状况,主动维护网络之间的邻居关系表。然后,引入动态模糊神经网络(DFNN)算法来执行切换判决,将获取到的网络参数数据作为该系统的输入,动态生成对垂直切换有效的规则库,经学习之后,计算得到输出判决值,从而为终端选择最佳接入网络。最后,仿真结果表明,该算法能够明显改善垂直切换过程中的掉话情况,降低切换失败概率。同时,与其他同类算法的时间消耗相比,该算法能够维持在一个较低的水平。  相似文献

针对无线通信异构网络切换中最优接入网的选择问题,现有研究主要集中于解决在两个网络间选择切换,而对于未来5G(5th Generation)通信系统中超密集网络的切换问题研究较少.本文就研究了5G无线通信系统中超密集异构网络的选择切换.文中提出了一种基于区域感知贝叶斯决策的联合垂直切换方式,该方案通过选择超密集异构接入网络的最优切换概率从而解决超密集网络切换问题.通过对移动用户(mobile station)从宏基站进入超密集服务小区,以及在小区内和小区间移动的不同场景进行仿真分析,研究结果表明本文决策方式能够准确地选择要切换的网络,因而该方案能够适用于超密集网络的应用场景.  相似文献

We propose a novel vertical handoff scheme with the support of the software‐defined networking technique for heterogeneous wireless networks. The proposed scheme solves two important issues in vertical handoff: network selection and handoff timing. In this paper, the network selection is formulated as a 0‐1 integer programming problem, which maximizes the sum of channel capacities that handoff users can obtain from their new access points. After the network selection process is finished, a user will wait for a time period. Only if the new access point is consistently more appropriate than the current access point during this time period, will the user transfer its inter‐network connection to the new access point. Our proposed scheme ensures that a user will transfer to the most appropriate access point at the most appropriate time. Comprehensive simulation has been conducted. It is shown that the proposed scheme reduces the number of vertical handoffs, maximizes the total throughput, and user served ratio significantly. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In heterogeneous wireless access networks, each mobile terminal may frequently need to change its base station (BS); this change is called a ‘handoff’. BSs have static parameters, which are related to their radio access technologies (RATs); however, they also contain dynamic parameters such as load and signal quality. Therefore, the problem of handoff decision includes two subproblems of RAT selection and BS selection. In this paper, first a ‘heterogeneous handoff management system’ for gathering all different required parameters is proposed. Second, a RAT Selection algorithm based on analytic hierarchy process and a BS Selection algorithm based on data envelopment analysis are designed. Finally, by means of ‘weight restriction’ technique, we develop a method for studying the impact of RAT Selection parameters on the performance of the network. Simulation results indicate that RAT Selection parameters have significant impact on the bandwidth utilization, energy consumption and the whole satisfaction of the users in heterogeneous wireless access networks.Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

在异构无线网络环境下高速移动的终端用户需要随时随地接入网络,然而,在垂直切换过程中,由于终端用户对网络选择的偏好不同以及切换之后网络连接时间和状态难以得到保障,无法满足用户的切换需求。因此,提出了一种支持终端用户高速移动的基于认知自选择决策树的垂直切换方法。该方法首先根据网络属性和终端运动趋势建立相应的切换概率分布,然后根据用户偏好选择相应的决策树进行决策,最后通过对切换后终端的业务类型和运动状态进行反馈分析,提出了反馈认知决策方法。仿真结果表明,所提的方法不仅能够保证高速移动终端在异构无线网络下的切换质量,而且减少了不必要的切换,保证了网络的及时更新。  相似文献

垂直切换是多网融合的基础,是实现异构网络互通、支持不同接入方式无缝衔接的核心技术,目前正在受到业界的重点关注,并成为学术界研究的热点问题。随着无线移动通信技术向接入多元化、网络一体化和应用综合化的方向发展,各种蜂窝移动接入、宽带无线接入和固定接入将共同接入基于IP的统一核心网络,通过网络间的垂直切换,支持用户的移动性和移动过程中业务的连续性。首先给出了垂直切换的定义和基本概念,介绍了垂直切换的分类和基本流程,随后详细论述垂直切换的切换判决和切换执行2个环节。针对切换判决,总结了现有判决算法,重点评述各代表算法工作原理并剖析论其特点和存在的不足。针对切换执行,详述了现有垂直切换执行机制的工作原理和适用场景,并分析其优缺点。最后,对未来垂直切换技术的研究方向进行了展望。  相似文献

One of the most challenging topics for next generation wireless networks is vertical handoff concept since several wireless technologies are assumed to cooperate. Plenty of parameters related to user preferences, application requirements, and network conditions, such as; data rate, service cost, network latency, speed of mobile, battery level, interference ratio and etc. must be considered in vertical handoff process along with traditional RSSI information. In this study, a new artificial neural network based handoff decision algorithm is proposed in order to reduce the handoff latency of smart terminal deployed in aforementioned wireless heterogeneous infrastructures. The prominent parameters data rate, monetary cost and RSSI information are taken as inputs of the developed vertical handoff decision system. Performance results of the proposed system are also compared with those of classical Multiple Attribute Decision Making method Simple Additive Weighting, and of some other artificial intelligence based algorithms. According to the results obtained, the proposed neural network based vertical handoff decision algorithm is able to determine whether a handoff is necessary or not properly, and selects the best candidate access network considering the abovementioned parameters. The results also show that, the neural network based algorithm developed significantly reduces the handoff latency while the number of handoffs, which is another vital performance metric, is still reasonable.  相似文献

The next generation wireless network environments increasingly become integrated to support anywhere, anytime connectivity for various applications like multimedia, full‐motion video and high data rates with appropriate quality of service (QoS). With these emerging needs, interworking of microcellular and macrocellular networks has been accompanied by service providers. However, these networks have different technologies, which make efficient vertical handoff a challenging issue. In this study, an efficient vertical handoff scheme (EVHS) for interworking between microcellular and macrocellular networks is proposed and analyzed. The handoff decision criteria of the proposed scheme include crucial features like user mobility, network conditions, pricing issues, and user preferences in addition to the received signal strength (RSS). EVHS ensures the selection of the most appropriate network in terms of cost and acceptable QoS according to users' preferences. The results show that EVHS scheme outperforms other proposed schemes in the literature in terms of incompletion probabilities, grade of service (GoS) and cost without causing degradation in system utilization. Besides, although EVHS scheme is mainly intended for user satisfaction, the results show that it does not cause a significant degradation in the revenue of the service provider. This paper proposes a new approach for performance evaluation and comparison between existing handoff algorithms taking into consideration signal levels, call dropping, and handoff cost. Using the new approach, existing handoff algorithms are then compared in terms of signal quality and number of handoffs required to achieve a desired overall signal quality. We also provide in this paper a method to estimate handoff cost and to optimize handoff sequences for retrial (where repeated call attempts are made after a call is lost) and non‐retrial models based on the proposed approach. We observe that the Threshold with Hysteresis method performs better than other known methods including the one used in the GSM standard. Our results indicate that the Threshold with 4 dB Hysteresis method performs well for urban areas although with a high dropping probability, whereas the Threshold with 6 dB Hysteresis method suits for suburban areas with a low dropping probability. We find that handoff sequences obtained by existing handoff methods are less efficient than the optimal handoff sequence given in the paper by a margin of 29–45% for retrial model, and by 34–77% for non‐retrial model. The paper also suggests some specific parameter values to improve the performance of currently used handoff methods based on our findings. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Handoff decision making is one of the most important topics in wireless heterogeneous networks architecture as there are many parameters which have to be considered when triggering handoff and selecting suitable access point. More intelligent approaches which reckon user profiles, application requirements, and network conditions must be improved so that desired performance results for both user and network could be provided. In this paper we introduce a new adaptive vertical handoff decision making algorithm in which fuzzy membership functions are optimized by means of genetic algorithm. Genetic algorithm is an adaptive search technique based on natural selection and genetic rules. In addition to that, it takes places in various scientific applications and can be used to adjust the membership functions in fuzzy systems. The purpose of the study is to adjust the shape of fuzzy membership functions, properly, using genetic algorithm in order to achieve optimum handoff performance. The results show that, compared to the several different algorithms performance of the proposed approach with genetic algorithm is significantly improved for both user and network in terms of number of handoff while the other requirements are still satisfied.  相似文献

在带有噪声干扰的车辆异构网络中,针对当前基于决策树的垂直切换算法存在切换精准性不高的问题,该文详细分析并给出当前算法决策过程中存在的错误判决概率,提出一种基于决策树的稳健垂直切换算法。首先,采用卡尔曼滤波算法,根据网络属性的预测值和当前测量值,并结合它们各自的噪声偏差,做出更准确的网络属性估计。其次,针对少量网络属性值出现在判决门限附近的情况,提出概率阈值区间法,通过二次检测提高算法判决的准确性。仿真结果表明,所提算法提高了切换判决精准性和网络总吞吐量,降低了乒乓效应和切换失败率,并得到了与传统算法同阶的时间复杂度性能结果。  相似文献

The integration of a multitude of wireless networks is expected to lead to the emergence of the fourth generation (4G) of wireless technologies. Under the motivation of increasing the levels of user satisfaction while maintaining seamless connectivity and a satisfactory level of QoS, we design a novel cross-layer architecture that provides context-awareness, smart handoff and mobility control in heterogeneous wireless IP networks. We develop a Transport and Application Layer Architecture for vertical Mobility with Context-awareness (Tramcar). Tramcar presents a new approach to vertical handoff decisions, which is not exclusively based on network characteristics but also on higher level parameters which fall in the application and transport layers. Tramcar is tailored for a variety of different network technologies with different characteristics and has the ability of adapting to changing environment conditions and unpredictable background traffic. Furthermore, Tramcar allows users to identify and prioritize their preferences. Tramcar is a smart and practical system, which is more capable of dealing with 4G challenges. Simulation results demonstrate that Tramcar increases user satisfaction levels and network throughput under rough network conditions and reduces overall handoff latencies.  相似文献

在车辆异构网络中,针对垂直切换决策时刻之后网络状态的动态变化,提高切换性能问题,提出一种基于马尔可夫过程的预测垂直切换(M-VHO)算法。算法考虑了切换决策后网络状态的动态变化对车辆终端服务质量(QoS)的影响。其基本思路是:在需要垂直切换时,利用马尔可夫过程的转移概率预测未来网络状态的变化;另外,采用模糊逻辑方法确定评价属性参数权重;最后,比较切换决策、切换执行和切换之后时刻的总收益来优化选择最佳切换网络。仿真结果证明,该算法在确保较高负载均衡的情况下,可有效改进车辆终端的平均阻塞率及丢包率,降低乒乓效应,确保了车辆终端的QoS。  相似文献

In heterogeneous wireless networks, handoff can be separated into two parts: horizontal handoff (HHO) and vertical handoff (VHO). VHO plays an important role to fulfill seamless data transfer when mobile nodes cross wireless access networks with different link layer technologies. Current VHO algorithms mainly focus on when to trigger VHO, but neglect the problem of how to synthetically consider all currently available networks (homogeneous or heterogeneous) and choose the optimal network for HHO or VHO from all the available candidates. In this paper, we present an analytical framework to evaluate VHO algorithms. Subsequently, we extend the traditional hysteresis based and dwelling-timer based algorithms to support both VHO and HHO decisions and apply them to complex heterogeneous wireless environments. We refer to these enhanced algorithms as E-HY and E-DW, respectively. Based on the proposed analytical model, we provide a formalization definition of the handoff conditions in E-HY and E-DW and analyze their performance. Subsequently, we propose a novel general handoff decision algorithm, GHO, to trigger HHO and VHO in heterogeneous wireless networks. Analysis shows that GHO can achieve better performance than E-HY and E-DW. Simulations validate the analytical results and verify that GHO outperforms traditional algorithms in terms of the matching ratio, TCP throughput and UDP throughput.  相似文献

摘要:在异构网络融合场景中,为了合理利用异构网络资源,提出了一种基于加权二分图的网络选择算法。将网络选择过程映射为寻找最优加权二分图的过程,用户和网络双方的需求经数学建模后进行供需最优匹配,供需匹配有二次选择机会以平衡网络负载。与其他算法相比,提出的算法可以为不同QoS业务提供满足需求的匹配结果,并且能够动态调整网络负载,实现异构网络融合场景中用户需求和网络资源的合理匹配。  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate an inter‐high‐altitude platform (HAP) handoff model for multi‐cell short‐endurance HAP wireless communications systems. Equations are derived to calculate system parameters, such as minimum user beamwidth and handoff opportunity (HO) interval, and system performance, such as handoff success ratio, inter‐HAP HO start rate and handoff load, when the current serving platform is replaced either for maintenance or for periodic replacement. Research results show some directions on how to select the trajectory of the platform, user beamwidth and handoff schemes. It is shown that it is better for the replacing platform to fly above and be as close as possible to the current serving platform. A higher altitude adopted by the current serving platform will allow a narrower user beamwidth. Two cellular handoff schemes are presented. It is shown that in the case of users with a wider antenna beamwidth free selection of any handoff destination cell can result in the handoff load being very high. By restricting the handoff destination cell to the cell with the same cell number within the footprints of the two platforms, the handoff traffic can be reduced to a minimum, but the two platforms are required to maintain the same relative cell layout.
