Minimization of energy consumption was explored for countercurrent switched cryogenic packed beds in which separation of CO2 and other components of natural gas can be achieved based on differences in freezing or desublimation points. Highly pure CO2 and methane were obtained after separation. An experimental setup for CO2 removal from natural gas was constructed and a detailed experimental study was conducted by changing different operating parameters. Compared to other cocurrent or jacket‐cooled constant‐temperature configurations, countercurrent switched beds provided optimal separation and energy efficiencies. The effects of important process parameters like initial temperature profiles of the cryogenic bed, feed composition, and feed flow rate on energy requirement, bed saturation, bed pressure, and cycling times were investigated. The energy requirement for cryogenic packed beds was compared with the conventional cryogenic distillation process. 相似文献

An appropriate sidestream is the key to improve the yields and purities of products in the cryogenic air separation process. The sidestream of a full tower internal thermally coupled air separation column is characterized. Sensitivity analysis indicates that heat duty distribution, purities, and yields of the products are strongly influenced by the withdrawn position and the flow rate of the sidestream. Optimization models are proposed by adopting the minimum flow rate of the low‐purity liquid nitrogen product and with maximum flow rates of the oxygen product or nitrogen product as optimization target. The optimization research allows selecting the optimum operating conditions with different production requirements. 相似文献

测定了乙醇–丙酮–丁醇–水–碳酸钾体系在25℃时的液–液相平衡数据,结果表明, 有机物水溶液可简化为二元系处理, 可用Pitzer理论和Wilson方程对相平衡数据进行关联计算,计算值与实验值符合良好.采用碳酸钾分离乙醇–丙酮–丁醇–水体系,碳酸钾的脱水率高达95.6%. 相似文献

The objective of this work was to develop products for the anti‐graffiti market using a product design framework that takes into account the company core practices and meets customer expectations. Product development comprised several concurrent steps including market research and analysis to determine the market potential using a Quality Functional Deployment tool. From market research it was estimated that anti‐graffiti products had significant potential within Australia. A range of technical and quality parameters were tested. The Hildebrand and Hansen solubility parameters, viscosity and diffusivity estimates were mainly used for technical evaluation of products. An iterative process was used throughout in conjunction with parameter restraints to meet environmental sustainability, waste reduction and minimize resource consumption.
