Luminescence properties of Y2−xGdxO3:Eu3+ (x = 0 to 2.0) thin films are investigated by site-selective laser excitation spectroscopy. The films were grown by pulsed laser deposition method on SiO2 (100) substrates. Cubic phase Y2O3 and Gd2O3 and monoclinic phase Gd2O3 are identified in the excitation spectrum of the 7F0 → 5D0 transition of Eu3+. The emission spectra of the 5D0 → 7FJ (J = 1 and 2) transition from individual Eu3+ centers were obtained by tuning the laser to resonance with each excitation line. The excitation line at around 580.60 nm corresponds to the line from Eu3+ with C2 site symmetry of cubic phase. New lines at 578.65 and 582.02 nm for the CS sites of Gd2O3 with monoclinic phase are observed by the incorporation of Gd in Y2O3 lattice. Energy transfer occurs between Eu3+ ions at the CS sites and from Eu3+ ions at the CS sites to those at the C2 site in Y2−xGdxO3.  相似文献

RE3+-activated monoclinic Na3GdP2O8 (RE3+ = Tb3+, Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+) phosphors have been synthesized by a solid-state reaction method. Their photoluminescence properties in the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region were investigated. By analyzing their excitation spectra, the host-related absorption band was determined to be around 166 nm. The f-d transition bands and the charge transfer bands for Na3GdP2O8:RE3+ (RE3+ = Tb3+, Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+) were assigned and corroborated. For the sample Na3GdP2O8:5%Tb3+, the strong bands at around 202 and 221 nm are assigned to the 4f-5d spin-allowed transitions and the weak band at 266 nm is related to the spin-forbidden transition of Tb3+. For Na3GdP2O8:5%Dy3+, the broad band at 176 nm could be related to the f-d transitions of Dy3+ and the O2− → Dy3+ charge transfer band (CTB) besides the host-related absorption. In the excitation spectrum of Eu3+ doped sample, the O2− → Eu3+ CTB is observed to be at 245 nm. For the Sm3+ doped sample, the O2− → Sm3+ CTB is not distinguished obviously and is overlapped with the host-related absorption band.  相似文献

Eu2+ and Dy3+ ion co-doped Sr3Al2O6 red-emitting long afterglow phosphor was synthesized by sol-gel-combustion methods using Sr(NO3)2, Al(NO3)3·9H2O, Eu2O3, Dy2O3, H3BO3 and C6H8O7·H2O as raw materials. The crystalline structure of the phosphors were characterized by X-ray diffraction, luminescent properties of phosphors were analyzed by fluorescence spectrophotometer. The effect of excitation wavelengths on the luminescent properties of Sr3Al2O6:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors was discussed. The emission peak of Sr3Al2O6:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor lays at 516 nm under the excitation of 360 nm, and at 612 nm under the excitation of 468 nm. The results reveal that the Sr3Al2O6:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor will emit a yellow-green light upon UV illumination, and a bright red light upon visible light illumination. The emission mechanism was discussed according to the effect of nephelauxetic and crystal field on the 4f65d1 → 4f7 transition of the Eu2+ ions in Sr3Al2O6. The afterglow time of (Sr0.94Eu0.03Dy0.03)3 Al2O6 phosphors lasts for over 600s after the excited source was cut off.  相似文献

The Ba2TiSi2O8 is a well known piezoelectric, ferroelectric and non-linear crystal. Nanocrystals of Ba2TiSi2O8 doped with 1.5 Dy3+ have been obtained by thermal treatment of a precursor glass and their optical properties have been studied. X-ray diffraction patterns and optical measurements have been carried out on the precursor glass and glass ceramic samples. The emission spectra corresponding to the Dy3+: 4F9/2 → 6H13/2 (575 nm), 4F9/2 → 6H11/2 (670 nm) and 4F9/2 → 6H9/2 (757 nm) transitions have been obtained under laser excitation at 473 nm. These measurements confirm the incorporation of the Dy3+ ions into the Ba2TiSi2O8 nanocrystals which produces an enhancement of luminescence at 575 nm. At this wavelength has been demonstrated a maximum optical amplification around 1.9 cm−1 (∼8.2 dB/cm).  相似文献

A series of yellow-emitting phosphors based on a silicate host matrix, Ca3 − xSi2O7: xEu2+, was prepared by solid-state reaction method. The structure and photoluminescent properties of the phosphors were investigated. The XRD results show that the Eu2+ substitution of Ca2+ does not change the structure of Ca3Si2O7 host and there is no impurity phase for x < 0.12. The SEM images display that phosphors aggregate obviously and the shape of the phosphor particle is irregular. The EDX results reveal that the phosphors consist of Ca, Si, O, Eu and the concentration of these elements is close to the stoichiometric composition. The Ca3 − xSi2O7: xEu2+ phosphors can be excited at a wavelength of 300-490 nm, which is suitable for the emission band of near ultraviolet or blue light-emitting-diode (LED) chips. The phosphors exhibit a broad emission region from 520 to 650 nm and the emission peak centered at 568 nm. In addition, the shape and the position of the emission peak are not influenced by the Eu2+ concentration and excitation wavelength. The phosphor for x = 0.045 has the strongest excitation and emission intensity, and the Ca3 − xSi2O7: xEu2+ phosphors can be used as candidates for the white LEDs.  相似文献

Different crystal structure of TeO2 nanoparticles were used as the host materials to prepare the Er3+/Yb3+ ions co-doped upconversion luminescent materials. The TeO2 nanoparticles mainly kept the original morphology and phase after having been co-doped the Er3+/Yb3+ ions. All the as-prepared TeO2:Er3+/Yb3+ nanoparticles showed the green emissions (525 nm, 545 nm) and red emission (667 nm) under 980 nm excitation. The green emissions at 525 nm, 545 nm and red emission at 667 nm were attributed to the 2H11/2 → 4I15/2, 4S3/2 → 4I15/2 and 4F9/2 → 4I15/2 transitions of the Er3+ ions, respectively. For the α-TeO2:Er3+/Yb3+ (3/10 mol%) nanoparticles, three-photon process involved in the green (2H11/2 → 4I15/2) emission, while two-photon process involved in the green (4S3/24I15/2) and red (4F9/2 → 4I15/2) emissions. For the β-TeO2:Er3+/Yb3+ (3/10 mol%) nanoparticles, two-photon process involved in the green (2H11/2 → 4I15/2), green (4S3/2 → 4I15/2) and red (4F9/2 → 4I15/2) emissions. It suggested that the crystal structure of TeO2 nanoparticles had an effect on transition processes of the Er3+/Yb3+ ions. The emission intensities of the α-TeO2:Er3+/Yb3+ (3/10 mol%) nanoparticles and β-TeO2:Er3+/Yb3+ (3/10 mol%) nanoparticles were much stronger than those of the (α + β)-TeO2:Er3+/Yb3+ (3/10 mol%) nanoparticles.  相似文献

Very small nanoparticles (size 3-5 nm) of Y2Sn2O7, Y2Sn2O7:Tb3+ and Sb3+ co-doped Y2Sn2O7:Tb3+ were prepared at a relatively low temperature of 700 °C. Y2Sn2O7 host is characterised by an emission around 436 nm, which is arising from the oxygen vacancies present in the lattice. Tb3+ emission improves significantly when Sb3+ ions are co-doped with Y2Sn2O7:Tb3+ nanoparticles. Incorporation of Sb3+ ions at the Y3+ site of Y2Sn2O7 lattice and associated lattice distortion around Tb3+/Y3+ ions brought about by the difference in the stable coordination number of Sb3+ and Y3+ ions are responsible for the improved Tb3+ emission from the co-doped samples.  相似文献

Aluminium oxide (Al2O3) films doped with CeCl3, TbCl3 and MnCl2 were deposited at 300 °C with the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique. The films were analysed using the X-ray diffraction technique and they exhibited a very broad band without any indication of crystallinity, typical of amorphous materials. Sensitization of Tb3+ and Mn2+ ions by Ce3+ ions gives rise to blue, green and red simultaneous emission when the film activated by such ions is excited with UV radiation. The overall efficiency of such energy transfer results to be about 85% upon excitation at 312 nm. Energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ ions through an electric dipole-quadrupole interaction mechanism appears to be more probable than the electric dipole-dipole one. A strong white light emission for the Al2O3:Ce3+(1.3 at.%):Tb3+(0.2 at.%):Mn2+(0.3 at.%) film under UV excitation is observed. The high efficiency of energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ and Mn2+ ions, resulting in cold white light emission (x = 0.30 and y = 0.32 chromaticity coordinates) makes the Ce3+, Tb3+ and Mn2+ triply doped Al2O3 film an interesting material for the design of efficient UV pumped phosphors for white light generation.  相似文献

In this work, two Tb3+ activated green phosphors: Y2O3:Tb3+ and YBO3:Tb3+ were prepared by hydrothermal method. Photoluminescence properties of both phosphors were studied in details. Both phosphors exhibit similar luminescent characteristics symbolized by the dominant green emission at 545 nm. Concentration quenching occurs at the Tb3+ concentration of 1.60 atomic% and 2.57 atomic% for Y2O3:Tb3+ and YBO3:Tb3+, respectively. Luminescence decay properties were characterized to better understand the mechanism of concentration quenching. Based on the calculation, the concentration quenching in both phosphors was caused by the dipole–dipole interaction between Tb3+ ions.  相似文献

Eu3+ doped (Gd,Lu)2O3 nanopowders with particle sizes ranging from 20 to 70 nm were synthesized by the co-precipitant method using mixed precipitants, namely the mixture of ammonium hydroxide (NH3⋅H2O) and ammonium hydrogen carbonate (NH4HCO3). The precipitate precursor prepared by this method was believed to possess a basic carbonate composition and its thermal decomposition of the (Gd,Lu)2O3:Eu3+ powders were investigated by Thermogravimetric analysis and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA). This preparation was followed by a calcination process at 800-1100 °C and corresponding phosphor structure were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Photoluminescence measurement of the (Gd,Lu)2O3:Eu3+ particles show typical red emission at the 612 nm corresponding to the 5D0 → 7F2 transition. We found that the optimal Eu3+ molar doping concentration, calcined temperature and reaction time were 7 mol%, 1000 °C, and 2 h, respectively, which is helpful to obtain the final transparent ceramics with excellent properties.  相似文献

We present luminescence, luminescence excitation and luminescence time resolved spectra of La2Be2O5:Pr3+ system. We used high pressure spectroscopy approaches, with high pressure applied in diamond anvil cell (DAC) and sapphire anvil cell (SAC), for detailed analysis of luminescence related to the 4f5d → 4f2 and 4f2 → 4f2 transitions. We present effect of up-converted luminescence related to 4f5d → 4f2 transition excited with 488 nm. We also discussed possibility of existence of praseodymium trapped exciton (PTE) states in La2Be2O5:Pr3+ system. Lack of the PTE is attributed to high quantity of bulk modulus of this material.  相似文献

Crystallization behavior of the electrodeposited Sb2Te3 film was characterized and the effect of the amorphous-crystalline transition on the Seebeck coefficient was evaluated. The as-electrodeposited Sb2Te3 film was amorphous and exhibited the Seebeck coefficient of 268-322 μV/K, which was much larger than the value of the crystalline Sb2Te3 film. When annealed at temperatures above 100 °C, the Seebeck coefficient of the Sb2Te3 film dropped significantly to 78-107 μV/K due to the amorphous-crystalline transition at 94 °C. The thermal stability of the electrodeposited Sb2Te3 film was improved by the addition of Cu, and the crystallization temperature of the CuSbTe film increased up to 149.5 °C.  相似文献

Sr4Si3O8Cl4:Eu2+ and Sr3.5Mg0.5Si3O8Cl4:Eu2+ phosphors were prepared by a conventional solid state reaction (SS). Excited by 370 nm near-ultraviolet light, the phosphors show an efficient bluish-green wide-band emission centering at 484 nm, which originates from the 4f5d1 → 4f7 transition of Eu2+ ion. The excitation spectra of the phosphors are a broad band extending from 250 nm to 400 nm. Mg2+-codoping greatly enhances the bluish-green emission of the phosphors. An LED was fabricated by coating the Sr3.5Mg0.5Si3O8Cl4:0.08Eu2+ phosphor onto an ~ 370 nm-emitting InGaN chip. The LED exhibits bright bluish-green emission under a forward bias of 20 mA. The results indicate that Sr3.5Mg0.5Si3O8Cl4:0.08Eu2+ is a candidate as a bluish-green component for fabrication of NUV-based white LEDs.  相似文献

The varistor properties of the ZnO-Pr6O11-CoO-Cr2O3-Y2O3-In2O3 ceramics were investigated for different concentrations of In2O3. The increase of In2O3 concentration slightly increased the sintered density (5.60-5.63 g/cm3) and slightly decreased the average grain size (3.4-2.9 μm). The breakdown field increased from 6023 to 14822 V/cm with increasing concentration of In2O3. The nonlinear coefficient increased from 17.6 to 44.6 for up to 0.005 mol%, whereas the further doping caused it to decrease to 36.8. In2O3 acted as an acceptor due to the donor concentration, which decreases in the range of 1.02 × 1017 to 0.24 × 1017/cm3 with increasing concentration of In2O3.  相似文献

A novel warm white phosphor Ba2LiB5O10:Dy3+ with various Dy3+ concentrations was synthesized by the conventional solid-state reaction at 800 °C. The crystal structure of the phosphor was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The photoluminescence properties of Ba2LiB5O10:Dy3+ were investigated, and the critical concentration of the activator ion (Dy3+) was found to be 0.04 mol per formula unit. Under the ultraviolet excitation of 348 nm, the phosphor presented warm white luminescence with dominating emissions at 484.6 and 577 nm, corresponding to 4F9/2-6H15/2, 4F9/2-6H13/2 transitions, respectively. The chromatic properties of the typical sample Ba2LiB5O10:0.04Dy3+ phosphor have been found to have chromaticity coordinates of x = 0.31 and y = 0.35.  相似文献

Sr4Si3O8Cl4: Eu2+ phosphors were synthesized by the solid-reaction at high temperature. The emission intensity reaches a maximum at 0.08 mol% of Eu2+ concentration. The present paper mainly focused on the effects of Zn2+ on the crystallization behavior and photoluminescence (PL) properties of Sr4Si3O8Cl4:0.08Eu2+. Results suggested that no new phase is introduced by co-doping with a small amount of Zn2+ ions, but when co-doped with excessive amount of Zn2+ ions, Sr2ZnSi2O7 appears. We find that the co-doping of a small amount of Zn2+ could remarkably improve the PL intensity of Sr4Si3O8Cl4:0.08Eu2+. When x = 0.05, the intensity of Sr4Si3O8Cl4:0.08Eu2+,xZn2+ was increased up to 2.3 times that of pure Sr4Si3O8Cl4:0.08Eu2+, which could be attributed to the flux effect of Zn2+ ions, and the Zn2+ doping reduces the opportunities of the energy transfer between Eu2+.  相似文献

Single-crystalline fibers were grown from 0.25, 0.70, and 1.50 mol% Pr-doped Lu3Al5O12 (LuAG) melts by the micro-pulling down (μ-PD) method with a diameter of 0.3-0.5 mm and a length of about 200 mm. They were cut to 10 mm long specimens, and their scintillation properties, including light yield and decay time profile, were examined. These results were compared with corresponding properties of the specimens (0.8×0.8×10 mm3) cut from the bulk crystals produced by conventional Czochralski (CZ) growth. The μ-PD-grown fibers demonstrated relatively low light yield and had the same decay time constant when compared with those of the samples cut from the CZ-grown crystals. The fiber crystals were used to assemble scintillating arrays with dimensions of Ø 0.5×10 mm2×20 pixels and Ø 0.3×10 mm2×30 pixels coated by a BaSO4 reflector. After optical coupling with a position sensitive photomultiplier tube, the fiber-based arrays demonstrated acceptable imaging capability with a spatial resolution of about 0.5 mm.  相似文献

The Cr3+:KAl(MoO4)2 single crystal was grown by top seeding solution growth method (TSSG). Based on the absorption and emission spectra, the crystal field strength Dq, the Racah parameters B and C, the effective phonon energy ?ω and the Huang-Rhys factor S were calculated: Dq = 1494.8 cm 1, B = 585.5 cm 1 and C = 3049 cm 1,  = 373.8 cm 1 and the Huang-Rhys factor S = 3.74, respectively. The value Dq/B = 2.55 indicates that Cr3+ ion occupies the strong crystal field site in KAl(MoO4)2 crystal. A comparison of crystal field parameters for Cr3+:KAl(MoO4)2 with other Cr3+-doped crystals was presented. The results of spectral measurement show that Cr3+:KAl(MoO4)2 may be a potential candidate for broadband laser applications.  相似文献

Y6Si3O9N4:Ce3+ phosphor was prepared by a solid-state reaction in reductive atmosphere. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the formation of Y6Si3O9N4:Ce3+. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation indicated that the microstructure of the phosphor consisted of irregular fine grains with an average size of about 5 μm. Photoluminescence (PL) measurements showed that the phosphor can be efficiently excited by near ultraviolet (UV) or blue light excitation, and exhibited bright green emission peaked at about 525 nm. Compared with Ce3+-doped Y4Si2O7N2 phosphors, Ce3+-doped Y6Si3O9N4 phosphors showed longer wavelengths of both excitation and emission. The Y6Si3O9N4:Ce3+ is a potential green-emitting phosphor for white LEDs.  相似文献

A novel Bi-doped P2O5-B2O3-Al2O3 glass was investigated, and strong broadband NIR (near infrared) luminescence was observed when the sample was excited by 445 nm, 532 nm, 808 nm and 980 nm lasers, respectively. The max FWHM with 312 nm, the lifetime with 580 μs and the σemτ product with 5.3 × 10− 24 cm2 s were obtained which indicates that this glass is a promising material for broadband optical amplifier and tunable laser. The effect of the introduction of B2O3 on the glass structure and Bi-ions illuminant mechanism were discussed and analyzed. It is suggested that the introduction of B2O3 makes the glass structure closer, and the broadband NIR emission derives from Bi0:2D3/2 → 4S3/2 and Bi+:3P1 → 3P0 transitions.  相似文献
