以河北省阜平县、武邑县 ,福建省清流县、惠安县作为研究区 ,利用 2 0 0 0年 TM遥感图像 ,通过解译、判读得到景观结构矢量图 ,然后利用景观生态学数量方法分析了研究区农村居民点景观特征的差异及空间分布格局。研究表明 ,研究区农村居民点规模较小 ,平原地区平均面积不到 2 0 hm2 ,山区农村居民点平均面积低于 10 hm2。农村居民点距离较近 ,山区农村居民点平均距离小于 2 .5 km,平原地区农村居民点距离小于 0 .4 hm。农村居民点规模小 ,分布零散 ,适应于农业经济的发展。为了节约居民点用地 ,应采取加快城镇及中心村发展的方针 ,促进农村居民点布局的优化  相似文献

This paper shows a few possibilities for the application of Community OR in a Third World country based on experience in Venezuela. These possibilities are discussed in a framework of the relationship between the state and community organizations. Emphasis lies in showing that Community OR in Venezuela requires a deep critical commitment to emancipation in order to help community organizations develop in a rather hostile environment. Lastly, results in dealing with community organizations in Venezuela using the Interpretive Systemology approach are presented.  相似文献

There has been an explosion of interest in health sciences applications of case-based reasoning (CBR), not only in the traditional CBR in medicine domain, but also in bioinformatics, enabling home health-care technologies, CBR integration, and synergies between CBR and knowledge discovery. This special issue features the best papers from the third workshop on CBR in the health sciences, held at ICCBR-05 in Madrid. It is the third in a series of exciting workshops, the first two of which were held at ICCBR-03, in Trondheim, Norway, and at ECCBR-04, in Madrid, Spain. The nine high-quality papers introduced here represent the research and experience of twenty-two authors working in eight different countries on a wide range of problems and projects. These papers illustrate some of the major trends of current research in CBR in the health sciences, and represent overall an excellent sample of the most recent advances of CBR in the health sciences.  相似文献

For many years, the author has been involved in teaching and research in the use of Operations Research as a tool of analysis to study food security problems in sub‐Saharan Africa, in particular, grass root problems of poor farmers. The paper presents an introduction to the way Operations Research methods have been applied in case studies and research projects, and discusses in retrospect the author's views on the strengths and limitations of the application of Operations Research. The paper has in particular been written for people who are not familiar with applications of Operations Research in agriculture, and are interested to learn about its potential usefulness in practice. The retrospective part is largely based on food security studies in e.g. Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Bénin, Togo and Eritrea and on participation in several interdisciplinary research programmes in Africa.  相似文献

This work examined the hypothesis that elderly people are less confident than young people in their own computer knowledge. This was done by having 49 young (M = 22.6 years) and 42 older (M = 68.6 years) participants to assess their global self-efficacy beliefs and to make item-by-item prospective (feeling-of-knowing: FOK) and retrospective (confidence level: CL) judgments about their knowledge in the two domains of computers and general knowledge. The latter served as a control domain. Item difficulty was equated across age groups in each domain. In spite of this age equivalence in actual performance, differences were found in FOK and CL ratings for computers but not for general knowledge, with older people being less confident than young people in their own computer knowledge. The greater age difference in ratings observed in the computer domain, as compared with the general domain, was even greater for the FOK than for the CL judgments. Statistical control of age differences in global self-efficacy beliefs in the computer domain (poorer in the older participants, but not in the general domain), eliminated age differences in FOK and CL judgments in the same domain. These findings confirm earlier ones. They suggest that underconfidence in their relevant abilities is one possible source of the difficulties that the elderly may encounter in mastering new computer technologies.  相似文献

Developments in telecommunications, together with the availability of large collections of bibliographic references in computer-readable form, have produced a great change in access to scientific and technical information. Although the major information systems are in the USA, there is rapid development in Europe under the stimulus of the Commission of the European Communities' action plans in this area. The paper proposes a progressive viewing method useful in sharing a sensitive image. As in visual cryptography, this method characterizes its ability to recover the image by stacking transparencies without any computation. However, the method balances the sensitivity and the daily-processing convenience of the image. The text was submitted by the authors in English. Wen-Pinn Fang was born in 1971 in Taiwan, Republic of China. He received his BS degree in mechanical engineering from National Sun-Yet-Sans University in 1994, and MS degree in mechanical engineering from National Chiao Tung University in 1998. In 2006 he received his PhD in Computer Science Department of National Chiao Tung University. His recent research interests include image sharing and image processing. Ja-Chen Lin was born in 1955 in Taiwan, Republic of China. He received his BS degree in computer science in 1977 and MS degree in applied mathematics in 1979, both from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. In 1988 he received his PhD in mathematics from Purdue University, United States. In 1981–1982, he was an instructor at National Chiao Tung University. From 1984 to 1988, he was a graduate instructor at Purdue University. He joined the Department of Computer and Information Science at National Chiao Tung University in August 1988 and is currently a professor there. His recent research interests include pattern recognition and image processing. Dr. Lin is a member of the Phi-Tau-Phi Scholastic Honor Society.  相似文献
