GaN nanowires were synthesized by ammoniating Ga2O3 films on Ti layers deposited on Si (111) substrates at 950 °C. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The XRD, FTIR and HRTEM studies showed that these nanowires were hexagonal GaN single crystals. SEM observation demonstrated that these GaN nanorods with diameters ranging from 50 nm to 100 nm and lengths up to several micrometers intervene with each other on the substrate.  相似文献

Radial-aligned GaN nanorods were synthesized by ammoniating Ga2O3 films on Mg layer deposited on Si(111) substrates. The products were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transformed infrared spectra (FTIR) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The SEM images indicated that the products consisted of radial-aligned GaN nanorods. The XRD and the selective area electron diffraction (SAED) patterns showed that nanorods were hexagonal GaN single crystals.  相似文献

Large-scale fan-shaped rutile TiO2 nanostructures have been synthesized by means of a simple hydrothermal method using only TiCl4 as titanium source and chloroform/water as solvents. The physicochemical features of the fan-shaped TiO2 nanostructures are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected-area electron diffraction (SAED), nitrogen absorption-desorption, diffuse reflectance ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Structural characterization indicates that the fan-shaped TiO2 nanostructures are composed of several TiO2 nanorods with diameters of about 5 nm and lengths of 300-350 nm. The average pore size and BET surface area of the fan-shaped TiO2 nanostructures are 6.2 nm and 59 m2/g, respectively. Optical adsorption investigation shows that the fan-shaped TiO2 nanostructures possess optical band gap energy of 3.11 eV.  相似文献

Rutile TiO2 nanorod films have been successfully prepared on titanium substrate via a hydrothermal method using Tetra-n-butyl titanate as Ti source in the presence of concentrated hydrochloric acid. The effect of Ti substrate annealing treatment and adding of additional alkali metal chlorides in hydrothermal solution on the growth of TiO2 nanorod films has been studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and water contact angle measurement. The growth mechanism of the TiO2 nanorods on Ti substrate has also been discussed. It has shown that the initial rutile film transformed from anatase promotes the nucleation and epitaxial growth of rutile TiO2 nanorods. The superior wettabilities of the TiO2 nanorods resulted from treatments of vacuum and ultraviolet show great potential for applications in orthopaedic, dental implants, and possible photocatalysis.  相似文献

The synthesis of the single-crystal Co3O4 nanorods by molten salt approach was reported for the first time. The products were characterized by Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and Selected-area electron diffraction (SAED). TEM results indicate that these nanorods have diameters of about 150 nm and lengths of about 2 μm. According to the analysis of the SAED and HRTEM results, we drew the conclusion that these nanorods grew along an unusual [− 1,− 1,15] direction by Ostwald ripening mechanism.  相似文献

GaN nanorods were synthesized by ammoniating Ga2O3/In2O3 thin films deposited on Si (111) with magnetron sputtering. X-ray diffraction, Scanning electronic microscope and high-resolution TEM results show that they are GaN single crystals, the sizes of which vary from 2 to 7 μm in length and 200 to 300 nm in diameter. In2O3 middle layer plays an important role in the GaN nanorod growth.  相似文献

The GaN nanowires were successfully synthesized on Si(111) substrates by ammoniating the Ga2O3/ZnO films at 900 °C. The structure and morphology of the as-prepared GaN nanowires were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and field-emission transmission electron microscopy (FETEM). The results show that the single-crystal GaN nanowires have a hexagonal wurtzite structure with lengths of about several micrometers and diameters ranging from 30 nm to 120 nm, which are conducive to the application of nanodevices. Finally, the growth mechanism is also briefly discussed.  相似文献

In this work, we demonstrate that monodisperse indium hydroxide (In(OH)3) nanorods constructed with parallel wire-like subunits have been fabricated via a acrylamide-assisted synthesis route without any template. NH3 from the hydrolysis of acrylamide acts as the OH provider. The structure and morphology of as-prepared products have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG). A detailed mechanism has been proposed on the basis of time-dependent experimental results. Furthermore, by annealing In(OH)3 precursors at 500 °C for 3 h in air, In2O3 samples were obtained with the designed morphology.  相似文献

Novel vanadium dioxide nanorods were fabricated from V2O5 in the presence of a reducing agent, the poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) via a hydrothermal method at 180 °C for 48 h. The samples produced were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nitrogen adsorption (BET) and thermogravimetry (TG/DTG). The nanorods obtained are approximately 50 nm wide and from 300 to 500 nm long and presents high surface area (42 m2 g−1). The nanocrystalline B phase VO2 is not produced by hydrothermal treatment in the absence of the PDDA polyelectrolyte.  相似文献

Needle-shaped GaN nanowires have been synthesized on Si (111) substrate through ammoniating Ga2O3/MgO films under flowing ammonia atmosphere at the temperature of 950 °C. The as-synthesized GaN nanowires were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The results demonstrate that these nanowires are hexagonal GaN and possess a smooth surface with an average diameter about 200 nm and a length ranging from 5 μm to 15 μm. In addition, the diameters of these nanowires diminish gradually. The growth mechanism of crystalline GaN nanowires is discussed briefly.  相似文献

Large-scale VO2(B) nanobelts have been synthesized by hydrothermal strategy via one-step method using V2O5 as vanadium source and C6H5-(CH2)n-NH2 with n = 2 and 4 (2-phenylethylamine and 4-phenylbutylamine) as structure-directing templates. The composition and morphology of the nanobelts were established by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The as-obtained VO2(B) nanobelts have a length of 3-10 μm, a wideness of 100-375 nm and a thickness of 30-66 nm.  相似文献

Highly-active anatase TiO2 nanorods have been successfully synthesized via a simple two-step method, hydrothermal treatment of anatase/rutile titanium dioxide nanoparticle powder in a composite-hydroxide eutectic system of 1:1 M KOH/NaOH, followed by acid post-treatment. The morphology and crystalline structure of the obtained nanorods were characterized using XRD, TEM, SEM/EDX and BET surface area analyzer. The obtained TiO2 nanorods have a good crystallinity and a size distribution (about 4-16 nm); with the dimensions of 200-300 nm length and of 30-50 nm diameter. Compared with its precursor anatase/rutile TiO2 nanoparticles and the titanate nanotubes, the pure anatase TiO2 nanorods have a large specific surface area with a mesoporous structure. The photocatalytic performance of the prepared nanorods was tested in the degradation of the commercial Cibacrown Red (FN-R) textile dye, under UV irradiation. Single-crystalline anatase TiO2 nanorods are more efficient for the dye removal.  相似文献

Monodisperse CeO2 nanocubes have been fabricated via an acrylamide-assisted hydrothermal route. NH3 and acrylic acid from the hydrolysis of acrylamide act as OH provider and capping reagent, respectively. The structure and morphology of the products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and Fourier transformed infrared (FT-IR). The products have a cubic morphology with a mean size of 200 nm. The possible formation mechanism has been discussed based on the experimental results.  相似文献

The requirements of simple and reliable protocols for the synthesis of anisotropic structures with controlled morphology continue to be a major challenge in nanoscience. In this paper we describe the facile synthesis of porous hematite (α-Fe2O3) nanorods using anionic surfactant as a rod-like template. α-FeOOH nanorods with diameters of 170–210 nm and lengths up to 3–5 μm were synthesized in high yield via hydrothermal method using sodium dodecyl sulphate as a template. The porous α-Fe2O3 was obtained after solvent extraction and calcining the as-obtained α-FeOOH nanorods at 500 °C for 6 h. Even after removal of template by solvent extraction and calcination the shape of the nanorods was intact except the generation of pores on the nanorods. The porous nanorods were analysed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, transmission and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM & HRTEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) measurements. SEM and TEM images showed that the morphology of hematite nanostructure is homogeneous in the shape of rods and full of porosity and magnetization measurements of the porous α-Fe2O3 nanorods showed weak ferromagnetic behavior. The surfactant SDS (sodium dodecyl sulphate) plays a key role in controlling the nucleation and growth of the nanorods and their use as a new class of inorganic scaffolds for the synthesis of nanomaterials are salient features of the work with implications in crystal engineering and nanocomposites design for various applications.  相似文献

A novel method is applied to prepare nanorods. In this method, nanorods have been successfully synthesized on Si(111) substrates through annealing sputtered Ga2O3/Nb films under flowing ammonia at 950 °C in a quartz tube. The as-synthesized nanorods are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. The results show that the nanorod is single-crystalline GaN. It has a diameter of about 200 nm and lengths typically up to several micrometers. Photoluminescence spectrum under excitation at 325 nm only exhibits a UV light emission peak is located at about 368.5 nm. Finally, the growth mechanism of nanorods is also briefly discussed.  相似文献

SnO2 nanobelts have been synthesized by water-assisted growth at 850 °C using high pure Sn powders as the source materials. The as-synthesized products were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), energy dispersed X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), infrared spectrum (IR) and room-temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectrum. XRD pattern of the sample is quite in accord with the standard pattern of the tetragonal rutile SnO2; SEM and TEM images show that the uniform single-crystalline SnO2 nanobelts are about tens of micrometers in length, 70-100 nm in width and 5-8 nm in thickness, and is smooth in surface. The special IR and PL properties were also detected by IR and PL testing. The growth mechanisms and special properties relative to the SnO2 nanostructures are discussed.  相似文献

A new photocatalyst titania:activated carbon (TiO2:AC) composite was prepared by impregnating anatase type TiO2 nanoparticulates onto the activated carbon surface through a mild hydrothermal route. A varied ratio of TiO2 to AC was considered for impregnation. As-prepared TiO2:AC composite was characterized by various techniques such as powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), BET surface area and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS). Powder XRD results showed the persisting nature of anatase phase of TiO2 deposited on the activated carbon surface. The BET, FTIR and PALS results revealed the impregnation threshold. The TiO2 particulates were well adhered and uniformly dispersed on the carbon surface as confirmed by SEM.  相似文献

Bundle-like structures consisting of single crystal cerium hydroxide carbonate (Ce(OH)CO3) nanorods have been synthesized successfully by a hydrothermal method at 100 °C using cerium nitrate (Ce(NO3)3·6H2O) as the cerium source, aqueous carbamide both as an alkaline and carbon source and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as surfactant. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to characterize such bundle-like structures. SEM and TEM images show that Ce(OH)CO3 bundle-like structures were composed of nanorods with diameters of ∼ 100 nm. The XRD pattern and electron diffraction (ED) pattern indicate that Ce(OH)CO3 has a pure orthorhombic single crystal structure.  相似文献

In2O3 octahedrons were synthesized by carbothermal reduction method. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), selected-area electron diffraction analysis (SAED) and room-temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectra. The results show that the products are single-crystalline In2O3 octahedrons with the arrises length in the range of 400-3000 nm. The PL spectra displays blue and green emission peaks which can be indexed to default and oxygen vacancies; blue-shift and intensity decrease was observed when excitation wavelength decreases from 380 nm to 325 nm. The growth mechanism of the In2O3 octahedrons is discussed.  相似文献

The Cu2O/SnO2/graphene (CSG) and SnO2/graphene (SG) nanocomposite photocatalysts were prepared by simple sol-gel growth method, and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) measurements, respectively. The photocatalytic efficiency of catalysts were evaluated by degradation of pendimethalin under visible light irradiation (λ > 420 nm), which conformed that CSG and SG exhibited better photocatalytic activity than SnO2 or graphene alone. An effort has been made to correlate the photoelectro-chemical behavior of these samples to the rate of photocatalytic degradation of pendimethalin.  相似文献
