By electrical resistance tomography (ERT) the cross sectional profiles of gas hold-up in a φ56mm bubble column are obtained with four designs of gas sparger. The effect of sparger geometry on the bubble distribution is revealed by applying a sensitivity conjugated gradients reconstruction method (SCG). Experimental results show that overall hold-up obtained by ERT is generally in good agreement with those measured with the pressure transducer and the ERT system produces informative evidence that the radial profiles of hold-up is very similar to the sparger design in the lower section of bubble column. Meanwhile, the rise velocity of bubble swarm and the Sauter mean bubble size are evaluated using ERT based on dynamic gas disengagement theory. The experimental results are in good agreement with correlations and conventional estimation obtained using pressure transmitter methods.  相似文献

在内径0.3 m,高6.6 m的加压鼓泡塔内,采用计算流体力学(CFD)数值模拟与气泡群平衡模型(PBM)耦合法进行塔内流体力学模拟,并将数值模拟结果与基于电阻层析成像技术(ERT)的实验结果对比分析,将通过ERT实时采集的横截面气含率分布和时间序列图与模拟结果进行比较。结果表明:ERT技术测量结果与CFD计算结果吻合良好,能很好地表示鼓泡塔内气液流动状态,进一步表明ERT技术对加压鼓泡塔内气液两相流进行可视化与实时测量是可行的。  相似文献

Analysis of gas holdups and pressure fluctuations are conducted in a slurry bubble column to study changes in flow regimes and comparisons are made with solid‐free bubble column. The pressure fluctuations are measured by fast response pressure transducers mounted on the column wall in the distributor and bulk regions. Air, tap water and 35 micron glass beads are used as the gas, liquid and solid phases respectively. Statistical analysis of pressure fluctuation data combined with gas holdup analysis provided information about flow regime transition and interesting insights into bubble size distributions and changes in flow structure.  相似文献

应用确定性混饨分析技术,以气液两相鼓泡塔内的压力波动时间序列为分析对象,系统研究了鼓泡塔系统的混饨特性.结果表明,鼓泡塔内气液两相流动系统为混饨动力学系统,混饨特征参数最大Lyapunov指数、Kolmogorov熵和关联维数D2等可以有效地表征鼓泡塔的流区及其过渡.混沌分析为定量判别鼓泡塔的流区及其过渡提供了新途径.操作条件对鼓泡塔内气液两相流动的混沌特性影响显著,表现为混沌特征参数值随表观气速增加而增加,随表观液速增加而减小,但是,混沌特性随空间位置的变化不显著.  相似文献

Local bubble behaviours were investigated in three bubble columns with different diameters of 200, 400 and 800 mm. By means of a novel single‐tip optical fibre probe employing laser Doppler technique, the local gas holdup, bubble frequency, bubble size and velocity were measured simultaneously at different locations of the columns. Measurements were performed in air‐water system at superficial gas velocities up to 90 mm/s. The averaged profiles and instantaneous measurements were analyzed and compared for different columns. The presence of a coherent gross circulation structure spanning the entire column diameter in the larger column rather than a pair of symmetrical circulation cells observed in the smaller columns has been confirmed.  相似文献

Both solid particles and column diameter affect the gas holdup and flow regimes in slurry bubble columns, but investigations of the combined effects are not to be found. This study shows the simultaneous impacts on the overall gas holdup and flow regime transitions and determines the dominant effects in slurry bubble columns on the centi-scale containing solid particle concentrations up to 20 vol %. Additional tomography measurements are presented to visualize the gas phase flow and the spatial gas phase distribution in the column.  相似文献

The detailed flow structures in bubble columns with and without internal draught tube have been investigated using the PIV technique. The onsets of transition due to vortex formation and different flow patterns with and without draught tube have been studied using the drift‐flux model and the experimentally measured Reynolds stresses. The role of solid particles and liquid viscosity, as well as bubbling orifice configuration on the flow patterns and regime transition has also been studied and discussed.  相似文献

Gas holdups were measured in a circulating bubble column (CBC) using air‐water system with various additives. The liquid volume in the gas separator affected downcomer gas holdup up to volume ratio equal to 6%. Presence of surface active agents, alcohols, solid particles had little effects on the gas holdups ?gda?gr relationships. The gas holdups relationships are theoretically related by a single parameter model ?gd = a?gra + 1, and empirically by two parameter model ?gd = a?gr — constant. The theoretical model yielded a values ? 0.45, while the empirical model yielded a values ? 1.16. Analogy between the two models (Contreras et al., 1998) will lead to incorrect conclusions.  相似文献

The literature shows that the extent of delignification in batch digesters varies as a function of chip location in the vessel. This non-uniformity may be exacerbated by a number of factors but is commonly attributed to poor and/or non-uniform liquor flow through the reactor (which causes poor chemical and heat distribution to the chip mass during the cook). Electrical resistance tomography (ERT) was used to evaluate the uniformity of liquor flow in a laboratory model digester under scaled industrial conditions (a 1:15 geometrically scaled vessel, a vessel to particle diameter ratio of 93:1 to minimize wall effects, and close approximation of liquor superficial velocity and pore Reynolds number). Local interstitial flow velocities were measured using pixel-pixel cross correlation techniques. It was possible to create uniform zones in the digester, but a stagnation point was observed in the centre of the vessel at the screen level. This point coincides with the location of highest kappa numbers (lowest degree of cooking) reported in industrial tests.  相似文献

提出鼓泡塔中液相环流预测的一维流动模型和相应的湍流封闭关系式,并对模型求解方法进行了改进。通过模拟结果和文献数据的对比分析表明,环流速度与塔内液相的流型密切相关。在平稳鼓泡流和剧烈湍流两种流型下,应用本文推荐的涡粘系数关系式可预测液相环流速度的分布,精度令人满意。  相似文献

Using a five point conductivity technique local values of bubble size,bubble velocity and gas fractionhave been experimentally determined in a 288 mmID and 4.3 m high bubble column as a function of axial andradial position for the air/water and CO_2/N_2/aqueous MDEA systems.The experimental results are comparedwith predictions from a fundamental two-fluid model.The implementation of a non-steady lateral drag term inthe two-fluid model has been shown.In addition to improving the physical realism of the model,it is found togive slight improvements in the predictions of the distributions of local bubble size.Predictions of bubble size arefound in reasonable agreement with experimental values in the heterogeous flow regime,whereas they are stil1found to be unreliable at low gas velocities.Local void predictions are found in reasonable agreement with experi-mental values,but deviations occur in the homogeneous flow regime towards the wall.This is attributed to defi-ciencies in the simplified bubble size mode  相似文献

Measurement of void fraction of two‐phase flows remains a challenging area. In this paper the application of an electrical resistance tomography (ERT) system for this purpose has been studied. A new approach through the direct use of the voltage data measured by the ERT system is presented. The measured voltage data are first compressed through a feature extraction, and a polynomial regression procedure is followed to obtain the relationship between the void fraction and the feature extracted. Both simulation and experiment are carried out to verify the approach. The methodology of the new approach, simulation and experimental results are presented in the paper.  相似文献

采用DBS曳力模型计算气液相间作用,分别采用Gidaspow曳力模型、经Brucato修正的Gidaspow曳力模型和Schiller?Naumann曳力模型计算液固相间作用,忽略气固间的直接作用,对比了浆态床内不同颗粒粒径体系轴向固含率的模拟和实验结果. 结果表明,不同液固相间曳力模型对气含率的预测影响不大;在颗粒粒径较大(140 ?m)的体系中,较低表观气速下气液DBS与液固Schiller?Naumann曳力模型组合模拟的固含率随床高度增加而减小,与实验结果吻合,而其它曳力模型组合的模拟结果较差,轴向分布较均匀;在颗粒粒径较小(35 ?m)的体系中,几种曳力模型组合的模拟结果均与实验结果吻合较好,轴向分布较均匀.  相似文献

The effects of liquid velocity, nozzle diameter, gas chamber volume and gas flow rate on volumes, shapes and growth curves of bubbles formed at a nozzle submerged in a cocurrently upward flowing liquid in a bubble column were experimentally investigated. The bubble volume decreases with increasing liquid flow velocity. The effect of liquid flow velocity on the volume of bubble increases with an increase in the gas flow rate. To simulate bubble formation at a nozzle submerged in cocurrently upward flowing liquid, a revised non-spherical bubble formation model was proposed. Bubble volumes, bubble growth curves and shapes experimentally obtained in this study, as well as in previous experimental studies, are well predicted by the present model.  相似文献

The hydrodynamic behavior of a single‐stage tapered bubble column using an air‐water two‐phase system has been studied. The experimental results indicate that the holdup increases with increasing superficial gas velocity and bubble slip velocity, while it remains constant with increasing superficial liquid velocity. The gas flow rate has a subtle effect on pressure drop owing to the dynamic pressure recovery stemming from the increase in flow area in the axial direction. The results further suggest that the tapered bubble column shows higher holdup with lower energy dissipation than the conventional bubble columns under similar hydrodynamic conditions. The experimental values of the holdup are in excellent agreement with the well‐known Akita and Yoshida correlation available in the existing literature. Also, the performance of the tapered system has been shown to be much better than that of conventional columns under similar conditions in water/alkaline scrubbing of fly ash and SO2 either alone or in combination.  相似文献
