The performances of multi-hop parallel free space optical (FSO) communication system are investigated over double generalized gamma (double GG) distribution for plane and spherical waves considering path loss and pointing errors (PE). Specifically, the closed-form expressions of outage probability and average bit error rate (ABER) are derived with Meijer-G function and further confirmed by Monte Carlo (MC) simulation. Subsequently, the outage performances of this system are analyzed in detail with the influence of PE, turbulence strengths, structure parameters and weather conditions for plane and spherical waves. Moreover, cyclic coding is used in this work to further optimize system performance.  相似文献

针对移动平台空间光通信信道的大气湍流随机性强、指向误差大和链路高动态性等问题,建立适合于移动平台的大气信道模型,并进一步推导出采用脉冲调制(PPM)调制的通信系统端到端信道容量和中断概率的解析表达式。仿真分析了在大气弱湍流、中强湍流两种情况下,信噪比、系统分集、指向误差及通信距离等对通信系统中断概率的影响。结果表明,指向误差不宜超过1mrad;通信距离每增加1km,中断概率上升8~11dB。  相似文献

In this work, an amplify‐and‐forward variable‐gain relayed mixed RF‐FSO system is studied. The considered dual‐hop system consists of a radio frequency (RF) link followed by a free space optical (FSO) channel. The RF link is affected by short‐term multipath fading and long‐term shadowing effects and is assumed to follow the generalized‐K fading distribution that approximates accurately several important distributions often used to model communication channels. The FSO channel experiences fading caused by atmospheric turbulence that is modeled by the gamma‐gamma distribution characterizing moderate and strong turbulence conditions. The FSO channel also suffers path loss and pointing error induced misalignment fading. The performance of the considered system is analyzed under the collective influence of distribution shaping parameters, pointing errors that result in misalignment fading, atmospheric turbulence, and path loss. The moment‐generating function of the Signal power to noise power ratio measured end‐to‐end for this system is derived. The cumulative distribution function for the Signal power to noise power ratio present between the source and destination receiver is also evaluated. Further, we investigate the error and outage performance and the average channel capacity for this system. The analytical expressions in closed form for the outage probability, symbol and bit error rate considering different modulation schemes and channel capacity are also derived. The mathematical expressions obtained are also demonstrated by numerical plots.  相似文献

采用外差式差分相移键控(Differential phase-shift keying,DPSK)调制的水下无线光通信(Underwater wireless optical communication,UWOC)系统经过Gamma Gamma强海洋湍流信道传输,当接收端与发送端之间存在瞄准误差并采用孔径接收方式时,分析了湍流效应和瞄准误差对接收光强的抖动影响,推导了UWOC系统的平均误码率(Bit error rate,BER)和中断概率(Outage probability,OP)的解析表达式。数值模拟研究了不同的瞄准误差、束宽、接收孔径和海洋湍流参数对平均BER和OP性能的影响。结果表明,在相同的束宽和信道环境下,瞄准误差越大,系统性能越差;光束束宽与孔径半径之比越大,接收孔径直径越大,系统性能越好;另外,选择较小的温度和盐度波动对海洋湍流贡献的比值ω和均方温度耗散率χT,以及较大的湍流动能耗散率ε和动力粘度u的海洋湍流环境也有利于获得较好的系统性能。  相似文献

部分相干光在湍流大气中传输时,可以有效抑制湍流所引起的光强闪烁效应,从而改善通信链路性能。针对Gamma-Gamma大气湍流信道模型和部分相干光的光束特性,得到了采用OOK调制方式下部分相干光通信系统的平均误码率、中断概率和平均信道容量三个性能指标的解析表达式;在此基础上,分析了光束的空间相干长度和通信距离对通信链路的性能影响。计算结果表明,在相同的大气湍流条件和传输距离下,随着部分相干光的空间相干长度的减小,系统的误码率和中断概率逐步降低,在平均信噪比为30 dB时,系统的误码率可以达到10-5,中断概率低于10-6;另外,系统的平均信道容量会随着光束相干长度的减小而增加,在信噪比等于12 dB时,平均信道容量达到3.8 b/sHz-1。分析结果为部分相干光在湍流大气中实现可靠通信提供了理论依据。  相似文献

In this paper, we utilize piecewise linear (PL) approximation to analyze the performance of cooperative free space optical (FSO) network employing differentially modulated binary phase shift keying (DBPSK) data with multiple decode-and-forward (DF) relays. The maximum-likelihood (ML) decoding rule at the destination is approximated by PL approximation which considers the possibility of erroneous relaying and performs very similar to the ML decoder with reduced decoding complexity. The atmospheric fading optical links are modeled by Gamma–Gamma distribution subject to both types of detection techniques, i.e., heterodyne detection and intensity modulation/direct detection (IM/DD) with pointing error. We analytically formulate the probability of error for the multiple-DF relay-based FSO network. However, the novel unified expression of average bit error rate (BER) of PL decoder with single relay and single source to destination pair is derived. Further, we also derive the asymptotic approximate BER of DF-FSO network with multiple relays at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of source to relay links considering heterodyne detection with negligible pointing error. In addition, the unified closed-form expressions of outage probability with single and multiple DF relays are derived in terms of Meijer G function. The expression of outage probability is examined at high SNR in order to obtain analytical diversity order. The impact of different power distribution techniques on outage probability is determined by utilizing power distribution parameters. The derived analytical results are validated through simulation.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of transmission techniques on the fixed‐gain amplify‐and‐forward–based asymmetric radio frequency/free space optical (RF/FSO) communication system is studied. The RF link and FSO link are, respectively, modeled by the Nakagami‐m and Gamma‐Gamma fading channels under the effect of zero boresight and non‐zero boresight pointing errors subject to heterodyne detection. Maximum ratio transmission (MRT) and orthogonal space‐time block coding (OSTBC) techniques are the transmission scenarios considered at the system source while selection combining is used for reception at the relay and destination for the signal detection. Moreover, a unified cumulative density distribution (CDF) of end‐to‐end signal‐to‐noise ratio is derived for the system. By utilizing this channel statistical CDF, the closed‐form expressions for the outage probability and average bit error rate for the M‐ary phase shift keying modulation are then obtained for the system. The analysis presented illustrates that both the atmospheric turbulence and pointing error significantly degrade the system performance. Based on this, the MRT transmission technique offers a better performance compared with the OSTBC techniques under the same system conditions. The accuracy of the analytical results is verified by Monte‐Carlo simulations.  相似文献

分析了独立的双伽马衰落信道下采用分集接收技术的相干光通信系统的平均输出信噪比(SNR)、通信中断概率和平均误比特率。首先,利用多项式定理推导平均输出SNR的精确表达式;其次利用正随机变量的平均值不等式推导出SNR下界的概率密度函数(PDF),并进而得出通信中断概率和外差同步二进制相移键控(BPSK)平均误比特率的联合上界。回避了直接求取SNR的PDF,降低了性能分析的复杂度。结果表明,分集接收有效地克服了大气湍流对系统性能的影响,且分集路数越多,性能改善越明显,但强弱湍流区的性能差异也越大;所得到的性能上界与已有的Monte-Carlo模拟结果十分接近。  相似文献

The outage performance of the multihop free-space optical (FSO) communication system with decode-and-forward (DF) protocol is studied by considering the joint effects of nonzero boresight pointing errors and atmospheric turbulence modeled by exponentiated Weibull (EW) distribution. The closed-form analytical expression of outage probability is derived, and the results are validated through Monte Carlo simulation. Furthermore, the detailed analysis is provided to evaluate the impacts of turbulence strength, receiver aperture size, boresight displacement, beamwidth and number of relays on the outage performance for the studied system.  相似文献

无线光通信中的自适应传输技术可有效抑制大气湍流引起的信道衰落.根据接收信噪比和预定目标误比特率要求,本文对通过瞬时湍流特性改变调制阶数的无线光自适应传输的通信系统进行了研究.给出采用Malaga分布湍流模型分别描述Gamma-Gamma、对数正态以及K分布湍流信道的相关参数设置;推导了Malaga湍流信道下无线光自适应多进制差分相移键控(MDPSK,M-ary Differential Phase Shift Keying)调制系统的平均误比特率、频谱效率以及中断概率表达式,以及基于MeijerG函数的渐近表达式.MDPSK自适应和非自适应两种调制系统特性分析结果表明:自适应调制系统不但在相同电信噪比下可获得更低的平均误比特率,还可以大大提高频谱效率,而不需要增加额外传输功率或牺牲误比特率.  相似文献

An aggregated channel model is achieved by fitting the Weibull distribution, which includes the effects of atmospheric attenuation, M distributed atmospheric turbulence and nonzero boresight pointing errors. With this approximate channel model, the bit error rate (BER) and the ergodic capacity of free-space optical (FSO) communication systems utilizing subcarrier binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) modulation are analyzed, respectively. A closed-form expression of BER is derived by using the generalized Gauss-Lagueree quadrature rule, and the bounds of ergodic capacity are discussed. Monte Carlo simulation is provided to confirm the validity of the BER expressions and the bounds of ergodic capacity.  相似文献

We consider infrastructure-based amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying for extending downlink and uplink coverage areas of a cellular base station. The base station serves multiple mobile users via a multi-hop backhaul relay link by sharing out access link channel resources with maximum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) scheduling. We analyze the performance of the system by deriving closed-form expressions for outage probability, outage capacity, ergodic capacity, average end-to-end SNR and amount of fading (AoF). These measures show that maximum SNR scheduling of multiple users in a cellular relay link offers significant diversity, capacity and SNR improvement over single-user transmission and round robin scheduling. We also relate performance of the relay link to that of a distributed antenna system (DAS), and show that the noisy wireless backhaul relay link induces tolerable performance deterioration compared to deploying a cable-connected distributed antenna.  相似文献

One of the main drawbacks of cooperative communication systems with half-duplex relaying is inefficient use of spectrum. Incremental relaying is an effective technique that overcomes this limitation, particularly in the high-SNR regime. In this paper, for a multi-relay cooperative network with arbitrary number of relay nodes, we propose a spectrally-efficient incremental relaying scheme that eliminates redundant relay transmissions such that an average end-to-end bit error rate (BER) constraint is satisfied. For detect-and-forward relaying, under the assumption of error propagation from the relays to the destination, we analyze the performance of the system in terms of the end-to-end BER, the average spectral efficiency and the outage probability for Rayleigh fading environment. The performance of the system depends on a single threshold employed by the relays and the destination. We optimize this threshold such that the average spectral efficiency of the system is maximized under an average end-to-end BER constraint. This optimization criterion results in a constant-BER, variable-spectral efficiency relaying scheme. The proposed scheme makes use of spectrum as efficiently as possible, while providing the required quality of service at the destination.  相似文献

The performance of two-way relay (TWR)-assisted mixed radio-frequency/free-space optical (RF/FSO) system is evaluated in this letter. The proposed system employs decode-and-forward relaying phenomena where the relay is basically an interfacing node between two source nodes \(S_1\) and \(S_2\), where \(S_1\) supports RF signal, while \(S_2\) supports FSO signal. The TWR-assisted system helps in achieving spectral efficiency by managing bidirectional communication in three time slots, thus maximizing the achievable rate of the network. The RF link is subjected to generalized \(\eta -\mu \) distribution, and the optical channel is affected by path loss, pointing errors and gamma–gamma (gg) distributed atmospheric turbulence. The novel expressions for the probability density function and cumulative distribution function of the equivalent end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are derived. Capitalizing on these derived statistics of end-to-end SNR, the expressions of outage probability and the bit-error rate for different binary modulations and M-ary modulations are provided.  相似文献

由于海水的吸收、散射衰减以及海洋湍流效应会引起水下无线光通信(Underwater wireless optical communication,UWOC)系统接收端光信号的闪烁,导致UWOC系统传输性能下降。基于Gamma-gamma分布的海洋湍流信道模型,根据海洋湍流参数和各向异性因子表示的等效结构参数,推导出波长分集UWOC系统中断概率(Outage probability,OP)与平均误码率(Bit error rate,BER)封闭表达式。研究分析随着各向异性因子的增加,具有不同波长分集阶的水下无线光通信系统中断概率与平均误码率的变化,比较接收端使用最佳组合(Optimal combining,OC)与等增益组合(Equal gain combining,EGC)技术的水下无线光通信系统平均误码率,并仿真不同海洋湍流参数、传输距离对波长分集UWOC系统性能的影响。数值结果表明,随着各向异性因子的增加,海洋湍流对水下无线光通信系统产生的影响逐渐减弱,使用波长分集技术的UWOC系统比无波长分集技术的UWOC系统中断概率与平均误码率明显改善。  相似文献
