在普通最小二乘算法的基础上,根据短焦距、超广角光学镜头的实际特性,在线性回归方程组中添加约束条件,并借助 MATLAB Optimization 工具箱求得拟合的结果。计算结果表明, 该方法减小了测量误差对计算结果的影响,改善了畸变随视场的分布,使计算结果更加合理。  相似文献

This study presents what is to our knowledge a new and efficient method for the design of an optical finite impulse response (FIR) filter by employing a particle swarm optimization technique. With the method proposed, the design of an optical FIR filter, which is able to provide an arbitrary spectrum output based on crystal birefringence, could be implemented with good performance and high efficiency. The design procedure is discussed. A typical example of a green/magenta filter used in a liquid crystal on silicon projection display is included to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of this method in this design process as compared with simulated annealing.  相似文献

An exploration of wavelet transforms for ultrashort optical pulse characterization is given. Some of the most common wavelets are examined to determine the advantages of using the causal quasi-wavelet suggested in Proceedings of the LEOS 15th Annual Meeting (IEEE, 2002), Vol. 2, p. 592, in terms of pulse analysis and, in particular, chirp extraction. Owing to its ability to distinguish between past and future pulse information, the causal quasi-wavelet is found to be highly suitable for optical pulse characterization.  相似文献

A design of a low-cost bipolar pulse generator for high-frequency (HF) ultrasound applications is presented. The pulse generator can produce N cycle (1-255 cycles) bipolar pulses with center frequency over 60 MHz. The measured pulse amplitude was over 160 Vpp, and the pulse ringing was less than 0.3 Vpp (i.e., signal-to-ring ratio is 55 dB). The pulser can be used in high-frequency ultrasound Doppler and B-mode imaging applications with arrays.  相似文献

The spatial–temporal evolution of an ultrashort pulse at different planes on propagation through a spherical lens is modelled using an efficient numerical algorithm. With this model it is possible to observe the on- and off-axis pulse evolution at any arbitrary plane. This model is applicable to pulses of arbitrary spatial and temporal shapes and can be used beyond paraxial approximation. We can obtain the exact amplitude information at any plane fairly easily. The asymmetry of the pulse shape at the focus is reported for the first time. The focusing of a pulse with TEM01 spatial profile has been considered as an example and its evolution is analysed at different planes of propagation.  相似文献

We present an optical pulse delay (OPD) for delaying ultrashort optical pulses that uses an acousto-optic deflector as an active component. The OPD is designed to correct for chromatic dispersion caused by the significant color spectrum of ultrashort pulses. It is intended to be used as one of the components in a three-dimensional memory system based on pulse-collision addressing in two-photon materials. Calculations show that the OPD should be able to provide 65 arbitrary delays with a random access time of ? 1 μs for 100-fs pulses. The power efficiency of the OPD can be as high as 85% and hence permits two units to be cascaded to provide more than 4000 distinct delays. The number of delays and the access time can be optimized such that a fewer number of delays are obtained with a shorter access time, which favors high-speed operations. We provide experimental results that use a Michelson interferometer to measure three different delays, approximately 1 mm apart (equivalent to ?3-ps time delay), obtained with 130-fs pulses. In addition we include an analysis of the performance of acousto-optic devices for both monochromatic light and ultrashort pulsed lasers. Finally, we provide the design of the optical pulse-delay system for a three-dimensional memory application.  相似文献

The design and implementation of a robust, scalable, and modular optical power supply spot-array generator for a modulator-based free-space optical backplane demonstrator is presented. Four arrays of 8 x 4 spots with 6.47-mum radii (at 1/e(2) points) pitched at 125 mum in the vertical direction and 250 mum in the horizontal were required to provide the light for the optical interconnect. Tight system tolerances demanded careful optical design, robust optomechanics, and effective alignment techniques. Issues such as spot-array generation, polarization, power efficiency, and power uniformity are discussed. Characterization results are presented.  相似文献

We assess the validity of an extended Nijboer-Zernike approach [J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 19, 849 (2002)], based on ecently found Bessel-series representations of diffraction integrals comprising an arbitrary aberration and a defocus part, for the computation of optical point-spread functions of circular, aberrated optical systems. These new series representations yield a flexible means to compute optical point-spread functions, both accurately and efficiently, under defocus and aberration conditions that seem to cover almost all cases of practical interest. Because of the analytical nature of the formulas, there are no discretization effects limiting the accuracy, as opposed to the more commonly used numerical packages based on strictly numerical integration methods. Instead, we have an easily managed criterion, expressed in the number of terms to be included in the Bessel-series representations, guaranteeing the desired accuracy. For this reason, the analytical method can also serve as a calibration tool for the numerically based methods. The analysis is not limited to pointlike objects but can also be used for extended objects under various illumination conditions. The calculation schemes are simple and permit one to trace the relative strength of the various interfering complex-amplitude terms that contribute to the final image intensity function.  相似文献

We reconsider the problem of locating the globally optimal solution of a multilayer-optical-coating design problem, within some predetermined space of parameters, with the aim of obtaining a robust technique that requires a minimum of user intervention. The approach we adopt centers on exploring the space of the parameters of interest by using a Markov-chain Monte Carlo sampling algorithm. This technique enables one to locate the global optimum automatically with high confidence and without the need for a good starting design. It also allows the trivial inclusion of prior constraints on the variables and provides a natural means for investigating the robustness of the optimal solution.  相似文献

High-frequency (>20 MHz) ultrasound (HFUS) imaging systems have made it possible to image small structures with fine spatial resolution. They find a variety of biomedical applications in dermatology, ophthalmology, intravascular imaging, and small-animal imaging. One critical technical challenge of HFUS is to generate high-voltage, high-frequency pulsed signals to effectively excite the transducer for a high SNR. This paper presents the development of a multifunctional, reconfigurable pulse generator for HFUS imaging. The pulse generator can produce a high-voltage unipolar pulse, a bipolar pulse, or arbitrary pulses for B-mode imaging, Doppler measurement, and modulated excitation imaging. The characteristics of the pulses, such as timing, waveform, and frequency are reconfigurable by a high-speed field-programmable gate array (FPGA). Customized software was developed to interface with the FPGA through a USB connector for pulse selection, and easy, flexible, real-time pulse management. The hardware was implemented in a compact, printed circuit board (PCB)-based scheme using state-of-the-art electronics for costeffectiveness and fully digital control. Testing results show that the unipolar pulse can reach over 165 Vpp with a 6-dB bandwidth of 70 MHz, and the bipolar pulse and arbitrary pulses can reach 150 and 60 Vpp with central frequencies of 60 and 120 MHz, respectively.  相似文献

We present an experimental demonstration of a locking and control scheme for an interferometer using a power-recycled resonant sideband extraction configuration and show that the measured response to mirror vibrations matches an optical model. A method that uses discrete wavelet transforms for the solution of evolution equations that describe optical pulse propagation in nonlinear media is presented. The theory of orthogonal wavelet transforms is outlined and applied to the representation of optical pulses. Wavelet transform representations of propagation operators are presented and applied to the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation, yielding results that are indistinguishable from traditional Fourier-based simulations. The compression properties of wavelet representations of optical pulses permit significant improvement in execution speed compared with that of the split-step Fourier method.  相似文献

One of the major fallouts of the human genome project relates to the investigation of the molecular mechanisms of diseases. Identification of genes which are involved in a specific pathological process and characterization of their interactions is of fundamental importance for supporting the drug design processes. Discovery of targets and the related experimental validation is a critical step in the development of new drugs. The new experimental methods for gene expression analysis, such as microarray technology, allows for the concurrent evaluation of the expression of multiple genes. The outcome of these new experimental methods requires a subsequent validation of the gene function by using in vitro or in vivo models. In the last decade, one of the most promising methodologies for the investigation of gene function relies upon antisense oligonucleotides (ASO). The crucial step in antisense experiment design is the characterization of the nucleotide domains that can efficiently be targeted by this kind of synthetic molecule. At present, no standardized procedures for target selection are available. In this paper, we propose an integrative approach to ASO target selection: the proposed tool Automatic Gene Walk (AgeWa) combines a neural filter with database mining for the prediction of the optimal target for antisense action.  相似文献
