In this study, a new waterborne acrylic copolymer resin (acrylic-co-resin) was synthesized to develop water-based printing inks on polyester (PET) film. The synthesized acrylic resin showed good water solubility, high acid value (120 mg KOH/g), about 57% solid content. The developed water-based inks (cyan, magenta, and yellow) exhibited small particle size (<1 μm) and optimum surface energy within required values (31.5, 32, and 30 mN/m) for good adhesion of ink upon PET films. The developed inks also showed good storage stability for 30 days. Further, to evaluate the application performance, the inks were printed on corona-treated PET films at room temperature, and the ink drying time was measured. Further, the inks were printed on the corona-treated PET film to evaluate the application performance. The developed inks showed a short drying time (7–9 s), which indicates their fast drying nature. Moreover, the developed inks showed good printability, color strength, high adhesion, and excellent rub-resistant properties. The synthesis and characterization of two hetarylazo disperse colorants are described. These compounds were used for the preparation of ink-jet inks with and without active agents for polyester printing. The viscosity, conductivity, surface tension, and pH of these inks were studied over a period of time and discussed with respect to their structure and the active agent content. The particle size and particle size distribution of a representative ink containing a new synthesized hetarylazo compound were measured. All the prepared inks were proved to be suitable for ink-jet printing in terms of their particle size. Viscosity , surface tension, conductivity, and pH values of all inks, with and without active agent, were monitored over a period of 90 days and were related to the ink stability. The same properties were measured for an ink preparation with a commercial dye for comparison. The inks containing the new synthesized dyes were found to be more advantageous regarding most of the above properties, i.e., surface tension, viscosity, and conductivity. Contrarily pH values of all the preparations were unacceptable for ink-jet inks. The ink compositions containing the new synthesized compounds were applied by exhaustion (dyed) on polyester fabric. Fastness properties of the dyed polyester samples were excellent to very good in most cases. Color measurements of the dyed fabric were also performed. In this study, the effect of dispersant agents on rheology, surface tension, dynamic light scattering and morphology of two nano-ITO inks were investigated. The inks were formulated using two different dispersant agents and the rest of constituents remained unchanged. The inks were printed onto a glass substrate using an ink-jet printer. The printing task was set to one, three and five runs, in order to evaluate variations in optical and electrical properties, by changing the thickness of the printed film. Following initial drying of the printed pattern on to the substrate, the samples were subsequently heat-treated at different temperatures (350 °C, 450 °C, 550 °C) to assess the effect, if any, of heat-treatment temperature on morphology, optical and electrical properties of the treated ITO films. It was concluded that the type of dispersant, heat-treatment parameters and number of printing runs had a substantial effect on the electrical and optical properties of the ITO films. 相似文献

The versatility of nanofibres enables them to be used for various technological applications such as filtration, biomedicine and healthcare, composites, protective and functional textiles. Recently, in addition to the functional properties of electrospun nanofibrous mats, their aesthetic properties have been explored. Herein, attempts have been made to develop digital ink-jet printing of regenerated cellulose nanofibrous mats with reactive inks. First, a cellulose acetate polymer was created to fabricate electrospun cellulose acetate nanofibrous mats, which were then converted into regenerated cellulose nanofibrous mats through deacetylation. Next, the cellulose nanofibrous mats were treated with an alkaline solution then coloured with four (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) commercially available reactive inks by a digital ink-jet printing method using a piezoelectric digital ink-jet printer. Various parameters were investigated, including the optimal concentration of the pretreatment agents, fixation temperature and time, colour yield and the absorbency of the electrospun nanofibrous mats. The digital ink-jet printed cellulose nanofibrous mats exhibited excellent colour yield and colour fastness properties. A formula for white underglaze engobe is developed based on porcelain-faience waste (after the first firing) to be used on facing tiles with a dark-colored ceramic base. Applying this engobe to a dried tile ensures good sinterability of the engobe to the tile at higher temperatures of the first firing. The ink-jet printing properties of cotton cationised with 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride have been studied. Cyan, magenta, yellow and black reactive inks were used to print untreated and cationised cotton fabrics. The effect of cationic reagent concentration, steaming time, ink (colour) and print resolution were investigated, together with possible differences between the behaviour of the four inks. A self-cleaning ceramic ink that contains nano-titanium dioxide was formulated. The nano-titanium dioxide was generated through the micro-emulsion process. The physical properties such as surface tension and viscosity of the prepared ink were evaluated. The ink-jet printing was carried out with an Epson Stylus Photo P50 printer on microscope glass slides. The print was set to 1, 3 and 5 runs in order to evaluate variations in wettability and resulting self-cleaning properties with varying thicknesses of the printed film. Following initial drying of the printed self-cleaning microscope glass slides; they were heat-treated at 400 °C. The SEM analysis and contact angle measurements of the printed microscope glass slides were carried out. The thicknesses of the raw printed self-cleaning ceramic inks were increased linearly with the number of printing runs. Ultimately, the results demonstrated that the direct ceramic ink-jet printing method can be used to produce a self-cleaning film on the glass. 相似文献
