We have measured the 16 Hz susceptibility of the giant magnetic moments induced by Fe impurities in highly dilutedPdFex andPtFex samples with 2.5 ppm x 75 ppm in a wide temperature range, 30 K T 300 mK, and at static magnetic fields 0,01 mT B 25 mT. We find spin glass freezing at Tf(X)/X0,19mK/ppm Fe forPdFex and the larger value 0.26 mK/ppm Fe forPtFex. This is the first observation of spin glass freezing inPtFex. In the low-temperature range T 0.5Tf(x), the susceptibilities follow — 0 T with small zero-temperature 0 values forPdFeX and vanishing 0 values forPtFex. In the paramagnetic high-temperature range, we find (T — )it-1 at T 10 mK independent of x forPdFex, and at T 2Tf(x) dependent of x forPtFex with vanishing values for both systems. The data compare well to the predictions of the Thouless-Anderson-Palmer TAP approach of the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick SK model for spin glasses.  相似文献

ZrO2-Na-Al2O3 composites were prepared by a conventional method using two different powder routes and different milling liquids. The retained tetragonal-phase ZrO2 was 85 to 90% for composites with 2.4 to 15 vol% ZrO2. The fracture toughness (K lc) and strength increased with increasing ZrO2 content. At 20 vol % ZrO2,K lc and bend strength were 4.35 M Pa m1/2 and 390 MPa, respectively. Stress-induced transformation toughening is the predominant toughening mechanism. Dispersion toughening also contributes to the increase ofK lc. Surface strengthening was found to be an effective strengthening method for low ZrO2 levels. The critical tetragonal ZrO2 grain size was found to increase from 0.86 to 1.02gmm as the ZrO2 content increased from 2.5 to 15 vol %. A detailed study of the ionic conductivity of the 15 vol % ZrO2 dispersed sample was conducted by an a.c. technique between –124° C and 300° C. The bulk and total conductivities were calculated via complex-plane analysis. The total (grain and grain-boundary) ionic specific resistivity was 9 cm at 300° C. The activation enthalpies of the bulk and total conductivity processes were 0.30 and 0.32 eV, respectively.  相似文献

The surface fractal properties of ZrO2, WO3, and CeO2 powders prepared by the thermal decomposition of ZrO(NO3)2, (NH4)4W5O17, and (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6, respectively, were studied by mercury porosimetry. The results demonstrate that these oxides may, in principle, have fractal surfaces owing to topochemical processes of the type A(s) B(s) + C(g). The surface fractal dimension of individual crystallites and their aggregates are determined.  相似文献

We present results of a thermodynamic analysis for the superconductors compounds BaPb0.7Bi0.3O3 and Ba0.7K0.3BiO3. The physical quantities are calculated making use of the Eliashberg theory and the electron-phonon spectra 2()F() as calculated by Shirai et al. For the superconductor BaPb0.7Bi0.3O3, several models of the 2()F() were studied looking for a better agreement with experimental data. The best fit is achieved with a simple constant scaling (C = 1.25) of the Shirai's spectra. The functional derivative of the deviation function D(t) with respect to changes in 2()F() is also calculated.  相似文献

The superplasticm- curves of Ti-6Al-4 alloy have been determined at different temperatures and strain rates; all were of them L=m max type, and were of either fundamental, descending or ascending types. The latter two types were transformed from the former through the processes ofm Lm O, LO andm Lm F, LF, respectively. The highest total elongation, F, was 1150% obtained at 950C and 1.55×10–3 s–1. The Chin Liu equation has been applied to all types ofm- curves. The parameters characteristic of all types ofm- curves have been obtained and were found to vary with temperature and strain rate. Coexisting phases in the Ni-Mo-O ternary system at 1373 K have been identified by X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The samples were equilibrated in evacuated quartz capsules. Only one ternary phase, NiMoO4, was found to exist in the system. The reversible e.m.f. values of the following solid-state galvanic cells were measured in the temperature range 900 to 1500 K: (I) Pt, Ni + NiO/(CaO) ZrO2/NiO + MoO2 + NiMoO4, Pt; (II) Pt, Mo + MoO2/(CaO) ZrO2/O2, Pt; and (III) Pt, Mo + MoO2/(CaO) ZrO2/Ni-Mo + MoO2, Pt. The Gibbs energies of formation of NiMoO4 and MoO2 and activities in Ni-Mo alloys were derived from the e.m.f. data. For the reaction NiO + MoO2 + 2(02) NiMoO4 we obtain G r 0 = -201 195 + 69.70T (±400) J mol–1; for Mo + (02) MoO2 we obtain G f 0 = –578880 + 168.5T (+500) J mol–1. Based on the information from phase identification studies and thermodynamic stabilities, the isothermal section and oxygen potential diagram for the Ni-Mo-O system at 1373 K have been developed.  相似文献

The effects of poly anionic-electrolyte (ammonium polyacrylate, PAA) as a dispersant on two kinds of ZrO2 (monoclinic and yttria-doped tetragonal zirconia) aqueous suspensions were examined by the measurements of-potential and viscosity, the sedimentation test and the determination of the wet point and flow point of the powders. Additions above 2.5 wt% PAA to zirconia gave a negative high-potential above –30 mV, and then –45 and –30 mV were obtained for monoclinic and tetragonal zirconia above 5 wt% PAA, respectively. A high negative-potential above –30 mV was retained with 5 wt% PAA for a change in pH over a wider range (pH 6 to 10 for monoclinic ZrO2, 7 to 9 for tetragonal ZrO2) in comparison to that of ZrO2 without dispersant. The increase of the-potential resulted in a decrease in the viscosity. The evaluation of dispersion by the sedimentation test was correlated well with the value of-potential and the viscosity of the suspensions. The presence of native positive charge of monoclinic and tetragonal zirconia powders required an excess amount of PAA to attain dispersion of the suspension. There was a small difference in the least amount of PAA required to attain good dispersion between monoclinic and tetragonal ZrO2. The difference was also indicated by changes of the flow point on PAA addition. Addition of 0.1% PAA to monoclinic ZrO2 and 0.25 wt% to tetragonal ZrO2 gave a maximum value of the flow point, whereas the positive-potential fell to zero. Measurement of the flow point was a simple and useful technique for rapid evaluation of a required amount of dispersant for ZrO2 suspensions.  相似文献

The electrical resistivity (T) of V-rich V3Si single crystals (T c-11.4 K) was measured from 4.2 to 300 K along the directions of [1 0 0] and [1 1 1] before and after plastic deformation at 1573 K. Anisotropy of (T) was observed although V3Si has the cubic A15 structure. Plastic deformation does not affect the normal-state (T) behaviour but changes the normal-superconducting transition width Tc. At low temperatures (T c<T 40 K), (T) varies approximately as T n where n-2.5 and this behaviour does not contradict the (0)- phase-diagram plot proposed by Gurvitch, where is the electron-phonon coupling constant and (0) is the residual resistivity.  相似文献

We propose a 1-t1-2 pulse-NMR experiment to detect the spin-diffusion anisotropy, =D-D, in degenerate spin-polarized3He-4He mixtures, where D and dare the transverse and longitudinal spin diffusion coefficients. In such an experiment the nonlinearity of the dynamics produces multiple spin echoes (MSE). At the 3He concentration x3 4% the spinrotation parameter vanishes (M 0), so that the nonlinearity of the equations of motion is entirely due to the anisotropy. In this situation, detection of MSE amounts to observation of D. For slight anisotropy, i.e. D/D 0.25, we use a perturbation scheme similiar to that developed by Einzel et al. (in that case, for small M and small demagnetizing field) to calculate the second and third echo heights. For larger anisotropy we numerically calculate the echo heights. We find that for D/D = 0.5 the heights are 2 % of the first echo, and should be detectable. The (1, 2) tip-angle dependence of the D echoes is different from that of the M and demagnetization echoes, and furthermore, they occur at right angles to these echoes (in spin space). Thus, even when small spin-rotation and demagnetization effects are present, the 1-t1-2 experiment provides a sensitive means of detecting the anisotropy.  相似文献

Three types of -SiAlON (Si6 – z Al z O z N8 – z ) powder were prepared by the carbothermal reduction and simultaneous nitridation of ultrafine powders in the Al2O3-SiO2 system. The ultrafine starting oxide powders, prepared using the vapour-phase reaction technique, were mixed with carbon powder and heated at 1400 °C for 1 h under flowing nitrogen to form -SiAlON and followed by heating at 570 °C for 1 h in air to remove residual carbon. The resulting powders contained only -SiAlON with z values of 1.63, 2.05, and 2.99. The relative density (bulk density/true density) of -SiAlON compacts pressureless sintered at 1800 °C for 1 h under flowing nitrogen increased with z and reached 89.9% at z = 2.99. When the -SiAlON compact with z = 2.99 was hot pressed at 1800 °C for 1 h under flowing nitrogen, a maximum relative density of 93.6% was achieved. Although this hot pressed compact contained a small amount of 15R-SiAlON in addition to -SiAlON, it possessed a small average grain size (typically 0.5 m diameter) and high Vickers hardness (19.2 GPa).  相似文献

The vortex lattice in type II superconductors is unstable against the growth of helical perturbations if the current along the vortices exceeds a critical value. The longitudinal critical current, the pitch, and the spatially varying amplitude of the elliptically polarized helices are calculated from the London theory at the onset of instability in planar current distributions far from the surface. For weak pinning (L2 c 66) the wavelength and width of the mode extend over the entire specimen, and the critical current is 2H(c 66/c 11)1/4. For moderate pinning (c 66 L2 c 11) the wavelength and width are close to Campbell's pinning length (c 11/L)1/2, and the critical current times its mean density is 2H 2(L/c 11)1/2. For strong pinning (L2 c 11) helical instability occurs at pin-free vortex sections, the helix wavelength is 2.2d, and the critical current density is 0.47Hd/2 (H, d, c 11 and c 66), and L are the magnetic field, spacing, elastic moduli, and pinning parameter of the vortex lattice, and is the magnetic penetration depth).  相似文献

Sodium-alumina electrolyte tubes were prepared from spray dried precursor powders with additions of 2, 5, 10 and 15 wt % ZrO2 made by the sodium zirconate route. The thermal shock behaviour of ring segments cut from the tubes was examined by quenching into water at 0° C. At the 2% ZrO2 level the dispersed ZrO2 particle size was low, <0.5m, and the tetragonal phase was retained. For higher weight fractions, particle coarsening during the-alumina sintering schedule was extensive and the large particles transformed to monoclinic on cooling. At the 15% ZrO2 level the-alumina had a slightly reduced strength and high resistance to thermal shock and to thermal shock damage, quenching into water from 800° C effecting only a 43% reduction in strength. These observations are consistent with the effects of microcracking in the vicinity of second phase ZrO2 particles.  相似文献

The value for surface diffusivity of Zr tetragonal ZrO2–3mol% Y2O3 has been calculated from measurements of surface area reduction and pore growth in powder compacts during sintering. The surface diffusivity thereby obtained can be described by D =5.52×105 exp[–531(kJ mol-1)/RT] m2/s, which is in reasonable agreement with values calculated by prior researchers from direct TEM observation of neck growth between touching particles.  相似文献

We have performed measurements of the complex magnetic ac susceptibility of superconducting compacted platinum powders at temperatures 0.1T10 mK with different ac excitation frequencies in the interval 5 Hz/210 kHz and with different excitation field amplitudes at 0.006bAC2 T. The dependence of the ac susceptibility on the excitation field amplitude permits to determine the intergranular critical current density jc whereas the frequency dependence reflects the flux dynamics. By comparing the experimental results with theoretical predictions we identify flux flow, flux pinning and flux creep effects in the regimes of intra- and intergranular superconductivity. The possible impact of these effects on the superconducting parameters like jc of the samples is discussed.  相似文献

The spin hydrodynamic equations for superfluid3He-B have been obtained for the case of external, time-dependent fields. On the basis of a microscopic approach, expressions are found for additional terms in equations containing these fields. Considering the linear response of the system to the switching on of external fields, formulas are found for suitable Green's functions (magnetization-magnetization, rotation-rotation, magnetization-rotation, rotation-magnetization). The rotation-rotation Green's function has the 1/q 2 singularity characteristic of superfluid systems. Connections between Green's functions lead to relations among kinetic coefficients v, 1, and 2. It is also shown that there is a conserved quantityQ (B) = div v s (B) that describes sources or magnetic type charges (monopoles) of the superfluid velocity v s (B) . Comparison with the phenomenological approach suggests thatQ (B) is proportional to a pseudoscalar giving the projection of the spin density onto the vector describing the axis of rotation.  相似文献

Zirconium carbide (ZrC) and hafnium carbide (HfC) powders were produced by the carbothermal reduction reaction of carbon and the corresponding metal oxide (ZrO2 and HfO2, respectively). Solution-based processing was used to achieve a fine-scale (i.e., nanometer-level) mixing of the reactants. The reactions were substantially completed at relatively low temperatures (<1500°C) and the resulting products had small average crystallite sizes (50–130 nm). However, these products contained some dissolved oxygen in the metal carbide lattice and higher temperatures were required to complete the carbothermal reduction reactions. Dry-pressed compacts prepared using ZrC-based powders with 100 nm crystallite size could be pressurelessly sintered to 99% relative density at 1950°C.  相似文献

Zr-Al organometallic compounds have been spray-dried and heated at temperatures 600 to 1400°C to prepare ZrO2-Al2O3 composite powders. The powders consist of balloon-like particles 0.5 to 2 m in diameter with homogeneously dispersed tetragonal ZrO2 grains 0.1 to 0.2 m in diameter. The tetragonal fraction of ZrO2 in the composite powders is higher than that in the powders prepared from sols of Zr(OBun)4 and Al[OCH(CH3)2]3. The fraction is affected by the organofunctional group in the Zr-Al compounds.Zr(OBun)4 = Zr(OC4Hgn)4; Al[OCH(CH3)2]3 = Al(OPri)3.  相似文献

We examine the equation of state of liquid4He at negative pressures close to the spinodal density s where the hydrodynamic speed of sound vanishes. The non-analytic behavior of the equation of state and the speed of sound in the vicinity of the spinodal density are calculated in two and in three dimensions; we find for the speed of sound the non-analytic behavior mc s 2 ( — s)2/5 in three dimensions and mc s 2 [(-s)/¦ln(-s)¦]1/2 in two dimensions.We then examine the low density regime numerically, using a semi-analytic microscopic theory. It is found that non-analytic exponents are visible only in a negligible density regime around the spinodal point. Estimates for the spinodal densities, and the range of critical fluctuations are provided.  相似文献
