A broadband blue-emitting Sr_(1-x)Ca_xLu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+)(x=0-0.2) phospho rs were synthesized, which can be used for near-UV pumped white light-emitting diodes(w-LEDs).The crystal structures, photoluminescence pro perties, external quantum efficiency, the rmal stability and application perfo rmance of Sr_(1-x)Ca_xLu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+),by partially substituting Sr~(2+) with Ca~(2+)(x=0-0.2),were studied by various analytical techniques. When the Ca/Sr ratio of Sr_(1-x)Ca_xLu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+) gradually increases, the emission peak of Sr_(1-x)Ca_xLu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+) red-shiftes from 459 to 465 nm,corrected external quantum efficiency increases from 31.8% to 42.9%,and the thermal stability is also improved. The mechanism of the changes of the photoluminescence emission and excitation spectra, external quantum efficiency and thermal stability properties was also investigated in detail. In addition,a w-LED was fabricated by using SrLu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+)(blue),β-sialon:Eu~(2+)(green) and(Sr,Ca)AlSiN_3:Eu~(2+)(red) phosphors combined with a 405 nm near-UV LED chip, and its color rendering index(CRI) reaches 96.0.When Sr_(0.8)Ca_(0.2)Lu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+)is applied as blue phosphor to substitute SrLu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+),the obtained w-LED devices have high luminous efficiency, and CRI greater than 95.0.These re sults show that the Sr_(1-x)Ca_xLu_2 O_4:Ce~(3+) can be potential blue phosphors for n-UV pumped high CRI w-LEDs application.  相似文献

The blue-green emitting Eu2+ and Nd3+ doped polycrystalline barium aluminate(BaAl2O4:Eu2+,Nd3+) phosphor, was prepared by a solution-combustion method at 500 oC without a post-annealing process. The characteristic variation in the structural and luminescence properties of the as-prepared samples was evaluated with regards to a change in the Ba/Al molar ratio from 0.1:1 to 1.4:1. The morphologies and the phase structures of the products were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), while the optical properties were investigated using ultra-violet(UV) and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy, respectively. The XRD and TEM results revealed that the average crystallite size of the BaAl2O4:Eu2+,Nd3+ phosphor was about 70 nm. The broad-band UV-excited luminescence of the phosphors was observed at λmax=500 nm due to transitions from the 4f65d1 to the 4f7 configuration of the Eu2+ ion. The PL results indicated that the main peaks in the emission and excitation spectrum of phosphor particles slightly shifted to the short wavelength due to the changes in the crystal field due to the structure changes caused by the variation in the quantity of the Ba ions in the host lattice.  相似文献

A series of Sm3+-doped La3Si6N11phosphor materials we re synthesized by a high temperature solid-state reaction method. The crystal structure, micro structure, photoluminescence properties, decay curves as well as thermal quenching properties of the as-prepared phosphors were investigated systematically. The excitation spectra contain a wide asymmetric band below 350 nm originating from the host absorption, several sharp excitation peaks in the range of 300-550 nm corresponding to f-f transition of Sm3+.Under the excitation of 369 and 414 nm light, the phosphors exhibit strong narrow-band orangered emission peaked at 605 nm.The average decay time of La2.99Si6N11:0.01 Sm3+sample is fitted to be0.38 ms and the CIE coordinates were calculated to be(0.6105,0.3833).For water resistance,La3Si6N11:Sm3+is better than K2SiF6:Mn4+phosphor.After soaking in deionized water for 300 min,the La3Si6N11:Sm3+sample retains approximately 80%of its initial relative emission intensity. When the temperature rises to 423 K(150℃),the emission intensity of La2.99Si6N11:0.01 Sm3+sample remains 85%in co mparison to that of room tempe rature. The activation energy was calculated to be 0.63253 eV,which is higher than those of Sm3+-activated oxide phosphors, indicating that the phosphor has relatively good thermal stability.  相似文献

The cerium (Ce3+) doped yttrium aluminium borate (YAB) phosphor was synthesized by modified solid state reaction. The phosphor's phase purity and its emission properties were studied using powder X-ray diffraction pattern and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The synthesized YAB had rhomobohedral crystal structure. The phosphor had two different excitation and emission spectra. By 325 nm excitation, the phosphor had emission at 373 nm and with 363 nm excitation; the phosphor gave violet-blue emission at 418 nm. The UV emission of the phosphor originated due to Ce3+ ions at the yttrium site and violet-blue emission owing to Ce3+ ions at non-regular sites viz., A13+ and interstitial sites. The emission intensity of the phosphor was enhanced when monovalent ions (K+, Na+, and F) were added as co-dopants. The crucial role of ionic radii of monovalent co-dopants on the emission enhancement of the YAB:Ce3+ phosphor was reported. Thermogravimetric study showed that the YAB possessed high thermal stability at up to 900 ℃.  相似文献

Cyan-emitting Ca9NaGd2/3(PO4)7:Eu2+phosphors were synthesized via high temperature solid-state route.X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)were used to verify the phase and morphology of the Ca9NaGd2/3(PO4)7:Eu2+(CNGP:Eu2+)phosphors.The as-obtained phosphor exhibits a broad excitation band of 250-420 nm,which is near the ultraviolet region. An intense asymmetric cyan emission at 496 nm corresponds to the 5 d-4 f transition of Eu2+.The multiplesite luminescent properties of Eu2+ions in CNGP benefit from versatile structure ofβ-Ca3(PO4)2 compounds. The effective energy transfer distance is 5.46 nm(through the spectral overlap calculation),validating that the resonant energy migration type is via dipole-dipole interaction mechanism.Compared to the initial one at room temperature, the luminescent intensity of CNGP:Eu2+phosphor can maintain 77%as it is heated up to 420 K.A white light-emitting diode(WLED)with excellent luminesce nt properties was successfully fabricated. Moreover, the CIE chromaticity coordinates of fabricated WLED driven by changing current just change slightly.  相似文献

A series of Ca_(10)Na(PO_4)_7:Ce~(3+)/Tb~(3+)/Mn~(2+)(CNPO:Ce~(3+)/Tb~(3+)/Mn~(2+)) phosphors with high brightness were synthesized by high-temperature solid-state method. X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS), photo luminescence(PL) spectra, luminescence decay curves and thermally stability were performed to characterize the as-prepared samples. For Ce~(3+)-doped samples, an intense and broad band emission is present under 265 nm excitation. When Ce~(3+) and Tb~(3+)are codoped, energy transfer(ET) process from Ce3+ to Tb3+ is demonstrated with electric dipole-dipole interaction. The internal and external quantum efficiencies(QEs) of CNPO:0.15 Ce~(3+), 0.04 Tb~(3+), 0.005 Mn~(2+)are measured to 76.79% and 54.11% under 265 nm excitation and temperature-dependent PL intensity can remain 51.78% at 150 ℃ of its initial intensity at 25 ℃. It is indicated that single-phased white lightemitting CNPO:Ce~(3+)/Tb~(3+)/Mn~(2+) phosphor can serve as a promising phosphor for illumination devices.  相似文献

Sr3-z(Alx,Si1-x)O -5-xFx:zCe3+ phosphors were synthesized by high-temperature solid-state reaction. The structure and luminescence properties of phosphors with various Al/Si ratios and Ce3+ concentrations were characterized using various methods such as X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence excitation and photoluminescence spectra.XRD result displayed that a complete solid solution between Sr3AlO4F and Sr3SiO5 was formed. With the increasing of x value,a broader excitation band and stronger absorption appeared in the blue light region. Moreover, the emission band shifted to a shorter wavelength and the emission intensity reached a maximum at x=0.6.By adjusting the concentration of Ce3+,a widely tunable range of emission wavelength under the excitation of 460 nm was obtained from the green to yellow regions. In addition, the concentration and thermal quenching were also discussed.  相似文献

A series of red phosphors M3BO6:Eu3+ (M=La, Y) were synthesized at 1150 °C by conventional solid state reaction method and their luminescent properties were investigated. Structural characterization of the luminescent materials was carried out with X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis. Photoluminescence measurements indicated that the La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor exhibited bright red emission centered at about 612 nm 626 nm under UV excited. La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor had better luminescent intensity than Y3BO6:Eu3+ phosphors under the same excitation and measuring conditions. It was shown that the 0.08 mol.% Eu3+ ions in La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphors was optimal. The color parameter indicated that La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor was a preferable red phosphor for white LED.  相似文献

A series of reddish orange phosphors Ba_3Gd_(1-x)(PO_4)_3:xSm~(3+)(x = 0.02.0.04,...,0.12) were prepared by the high-temperature solid-state reaction. X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) and diffuse reflectance and photoluminescence spectra were utilized to characterize the structure and spectral properties of the phosphors. The phosphors have strong absorption in the near-UV region. CIE chromaticity coordinates of the phosphors are located in the reddish orange region since the strongest emission band is around 598 nm and related to the ~4 G_(5/2)→~6 H_(7/2) transition of Sm~(3+). Optimal concentration of Sm~(3+) in the phosphors is about 6.0 at%. The quantum yield of the Ba_3Gd_(0.94)(PO_4)_3:0,06 Sm~(3+) under excitation at 403 nm is about 52.07%. Temperature dependent photoluminescence spectra of the Ba_3Gd_(0.94)(PO_4)_3:0.06 Sm~(3+) were measured and the phosphor exhibits high thermal stability of emission. All the results show that the Ba_3Gd(PO_4)_3:Sm~(3+) phosphor may be a potential red phosphor for near-UV based white LEDs.  相似文献

It is well known that cyan-emitting phosphors play a very important role in full-spectrum white LEDs.A large number of cyan-emitting phosphors have been reported in the past few years, however, most of them can only be effectively excited by near-ultraviolet light. There are very few cyan-emitting phosphors that can be intensively excited by blue light(440 and 470 nm). Here,a novel blue-light excitable cyan-emitting phosphor BaLu_(1.95)Ce_(0.05)Al_2Ga_2SiO_(12) with excellent performance is reported. The cyan phosphor has a cubic structure in space group ■ with a=1.205379(3) nm,which can be easily obtained through a solid-state reaction pathway. The emission peak of the cyan phosphor is located at 500 nm and its internal quantum efficiency is as high as 90.01% when excited at 455 nm at 25℃.The cyan phosphor exhibits superior resistance against thermal quenching of luminescence, and its intensity at 125℃ is as strong as 92.14% of the intensity at room temperature.Meanwhile,it also shows an outstanding resistance against water, where its luminescence intensity is hardly changed after being immersed in pure water for 528 h.The white LED lamp prepared by employing the obtained BaLu_(1.95)-Ce_(0.05)Al_2Ga_2SiO_(12) as cyan phosphor displays remarkable optical properties with CCT=4441 K,R_a=93.7,CRI=90.4 and CIE 1931(x,y) as(x=0.3648,y=0.3752).The experimental results demonstrate that BaLu_(1.95)Ce_(0.05)Al_2Ga_2SiO_(12) is a promising cyan-emitting phosphor with great application potential in full-spectrum white LEDs.  相似文献

In order to obtain a single-host-white-light phosphor,a series of Ba1.8-w-x-y-zSrwLi0.4-xCexEuyMnzSiO4(BSLS:Ce3+,Eu2+,Mn2+)powder samples were synthesized via high temperature solid-state reaction. The structure and photoluminescence properties were investigated.Under ultraviolet excitation, the emission spectra contained three bands:the 370-470 nm blue band, the 470-570 nm green band and the 570-700 nm red band, which arose from the 5d→4f transitions of Ce3+ and Eu2+,and the 4T1→6A1 transition of Mn2+,respectively.The excitation spectra of the emissions of Ce3+ and Mn2+ ions showed the energy transfer from Ce3+ to Mn2+.White light emission was obtained from the tri-doped samples of appropriate doping concentration under 310-360 nm excitation.  相似文献

Rare earth ions doped gadolinium oxybromide phosphors GdOBr:RE3+ (RE=Eu, Tb, Ce) were synthesized by the method of solid-state reaction at high temperature, and the VUV-VIS spectroscopic properties of the phosphors were systematically investigated. Under the excitation of VUV or UV source, the phosphors doped with Eu3+ and Tb3+ show a bright and sharp emission at around 620 nm corresponding to the forced electric dipole 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+, and at around 544 nm corresponding to the 5D47F5 transition of Tb3+, respectively. For GdOBr:Ce3+, a broader and intense emission spanned 370–500 nm corresponding to the d-f transition of Ce3+ was observed. The excitation spectra were also analyzed.  相似文献

In the present study, Sm3+ activated inorganic orthophosphate CsMgPO4 (CSMP) phosphors were prepared by adopting a solid-state reaction method. The structural phase purity and morphological features were studied by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. The molecular structure and vibrational modes were substantiated with the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy characterization. The optical bandgap of the host and Sm3+ doped phosphors was deduced from the diffused reflectance (DR) spectra with a typical value of 5.72 eV and a small variation is observed with increasing concentrations. A systematic study of photoluminescence (PL) properties of Sm3+ doped CSMP phosphors was carried out. From the room temperature excitation and emission spectra, it is found that the phosphor emits in the orange rich red light under the suitable excitation of 402 nm in the UV region and concentration quenching occurs at x = 0.02 doping level. The emission peaks observed at around 562, 598 and 644 nm confirm the characteristic Sm3+ 4f-4f transitions. The temperature-dependent photoluminescence (TD-PL) of the x = 0.02 (optimum doping) is recorded from 30 to 210 °C, showing good thermal stability even at 150 °C. The thermal quenching mechanisms are discussed based on the configuration coordinate model of excitation and emission. The prepared phosphors are found to exhibit near thermal stability compared to the commercially available red phosphors. PL decay time and quantum efficiency were measured. The colour coordinates are found to lie in the orangish-red region of the colour space. Thus the prepared phosphors CSMP:x Sm3+ can be useful as a red component in designing UV excitable chip-based phosphor-converted white LED applications.  相似文献

A novel red phosphor Eu3+ doped magnesium titanate (MgTiO3) was synthesized via sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD) revealed that a pure MgTiO3 phase was obtained. Its excitation spectrum consisted of a broad band (<350nm) and a series of narrow bands in the long wavelength, and the strongest excitation peak at 465nm might be exited by GaN-chip to emit red light for white LED. The phosphors showed strong emission at 614nm which could be attributed to the 5D0→7F2 emission of Eu3+ . The emission intensity of MgTiO3:Eu3+ phosphor reached the maximum at the Eu3+ concentration of 3.5mol.%. The luminescent properties (such as emission intensity and decay times) were further improved by introducing Al3+ as a charge compensator, demonstrating potential applications in white LED.  相似文献

A series of single Ce3+ doped and Ce3+ and Tb3+ co-doped Na2BaCa(PO4)2 (NBCP) phosphors was synthesized by conventional solid-stated reaction method. The crystal structure, luminescence properties, thermal stability and energy transfer were carefully investigated. Ce3+ is inferred to substitute the Ba2+ site in NBCP lattice. The color-tunable emission from blue to green is observed by adjusting Tb3+ concentration among NBCP:0.03Ce3+,yTb3+ phosphors. The energy transfer behavior from Ce3+ to Tb3+ ions is both illustrated by co-doped PL spectra and decay curves. The energy transfer efficiency is as high as 91.5%. The mechanism of energy transfer is resonance type of dipole-dipole transition. In this work, the optimal phosphor exhibits the excellent thermal stability which keeps at 94.9% of that initial value at room temperature when temperature reaches to 150 °C. The Ce3+ and Tb3+ co-doped NBCP phosphor is a promising candidate for the application in the general lighting and display fields.  相似文献

The well crystalline YAG:Ce3+ phosphor was synthesized by solid-state method, and the temperature dependence of excitation and emission spectra of YAG:Ce3+ phosphor were investigated in the temperature range from room temperature to 573 K. With temperature increasing, it was noted that the emission intensity of as-prepared phosphors decreased considerably more rapidly when pumped by 460 nm than by 340 nm. The temperature-intensity curves under different excitation wavelengths were obtained using an Arrhenius function, and the corresponding activation energies were also obtained respectively. Thus, the experimental phenomenon was discussed in terms of nonradiative decay rate. The effects of as-prepared phosphors on the performance of the white LED with changing temperature were also studied.  相似文献

A series of red phosphors Ca10Li (PO4)7:Eu3+ were synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction method. Their luminescence properties were characterized by means of photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra,CIE chromaticity and quantum efficiency. Results indicated that the phosphors could be effectively excited by the near ultraviolet (NUV) light (393 nm). The main emission peaks of the phosphor were ascribed to the transition 5D0-7F2 (613 and 617 nm) of Eu3+ ion when samples were excited by...  相似文献

The spectroscopic properties of a series of Dy~(3+) single-doped and Dy~(3+)/Nd~(3+),Dy~(3+)/Tb~(3+),and Dy~(3+)/Tm~(3+)co-doped YAlO_3(yttrium aluminum perovskite,YAP) phosphors were investigated and compared through the measurements of optical absorption, emission spectra, and fluorescence decay curves. For the Dy~(3+) ion single-doped samples, the intensity of each absorption band increases with an increment in Dy~(3+) ion doping concentration, and the identified strong absorption peak at 447 nm indicates that Dy~(3+):YAP phosphors are suitable to be pumped by a blue laser diode(LD).For all co-doped samples, absorption peaks of Dy~(3+) ion along with some of the absorption bands of Nd~(3+),Tb~(3+),and Tm~(3+) ions are observed.Under 351 and 447 nm excitation,a prominent emission peak at 572 nm was obtained in all the samples, corresponding to Dy~(3+):~4 F_(9/2)→~6 H_(13/2) transition.Here,2 at% Dy~(3+):YAP phosphor exhibits the highest yellow emission intensity under 447 nm pumping.Among the three kinds of Dy~(3+) co-doped phosphors,Dy~(3+)/Tb~(3+):YAP phosphor possesses the dominant yellow emission. The fluorescence decay curves show exponential behaviour and are fitted well. The Commission International de L'Eclairage(CIE)chromaticity coordinates were calculated following the respective emission spectra, and it is found that all the coordinates locate in the yellow region. The energy transfer(ET) processes were investigated and the concentration quenching mechanism was discussed. The obtained results suggest that Dy~(3+)-activated YAP phosphors are good candidates for yellow LED applications.  相似文献

Tri-doped Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)_7:Ce~(3+),Tb~(3+),Mn~(2+)phosphors were prepared by a high-temperature solid state method.Under UV light excitation,Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)_7:Ce~(3+)samples exhibit a broad band ranging from 320 to 500 nm.At 77 K,the emission spectra of Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)7:Ce~(3+)samples present two obvious emission peaks, indicating that Ce~(3+)ions occupy two different kinds of lattice sites(Ca(1/2) and Ca(3)),As a good sensitizer for Tb~(3+),Ce~(3+)ions in Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)_7 lattice can effectively transfer part of energy to Tb~(3+),and the energy trans fer mechanism is determined to be dipole-dipole interaction.Consequently, the emitting color for Ce~(3+) and Tb~(3+) co-doped Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)_7 samples can be tuned from bluish violet to green. In order to further enlarge the emission gamut,Mn~(2+)ions as red emission components were added, forming tri-doped single-phase Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)_7:Ce~(3+),Tb~(3+),Mn~(2+)phosphors.The Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)_7:Ce~(3+),Tb~(3+),Mn~(2+)phosphors exhibit tunable emission properties through controlling the relative doping concentration of Ce~(3+),Tb~(3+)and Mn~(2+).Especially,Ca_9 LiY_(2/3)(PO_4)_7:0.09 Ce~(3+),0.12 Tb~(3+),0.30 Mn~(2+)can emit warm white light. The sample shows good thermal stability. At 150℃,the emission intensity for Ce~(3+)(360 nm),Tb~(3+)(545 nm) and Mn~(2+)(655 nm) decreases to 63%,69%,and 72% of its initial intensity, respectively. Moreover, the sample obtains good stability after 10 cycles between room temperature and150℃.  相似文献

Blue-violet light can not only enhance the total content of biomass and glucoside but also enrich the taste of the fruit. Thus, it is meaningful to study the blue-violet luminescent materials for plant cultivation. In this study, titanium (IV) -activated CaYAlO4 (CYAO) phosphors were synthesized by conventional high-temperature solid–state reaction. X-ray powder diffraction was employed to analyze the crystal-structure of CYAO. It is found that the doped Ti4+ ions do not change obviously the crystal structure of phosphors. Upon 246 nm excitation, CaYAl1-xO4:xTi4+ phosphors exhibit broad blue-violet emission band peaking at 395 nm, which can be attributed to the charge transfer of Ti4+–O2–. Moreover, this phosphor exhibits strong thermal stability. The luminescence emission intensity at 150 °C maintained about 91 mol% of its initial value at room temperature. Additionally, the electron transition process and concentration quenching mechanism of CaYAl1–xO4:xTi4+ are discussed in detail. The excellent luminescent properties indicate that CaYAl1-xO4:xTi4+ phosphor may have promising application in indoor plant cultivation.  相似文献
