The implementation of a fast Hadamard transform that operates in the ring of p elements is described with particular applications in an adaptive sequency-division multiplexer. Maximum hardware efficiency is obtained if p is of the form 2r ? 1 for any r, and the data to be multiplexed are codcd in 1s-complement arithmetic. The advantage of transforming in a finite ring is that no extra bits are required to store the data as for real-number transforms.  相似文献

Cattle excreta and two-phase olive mill wastes (TPOMW) were codigested at a 3:1 ratio in two 75 L continuous stirred tank reactors at 37 °C and 55 °C to analyse their biogas production. The contribution of each residue to the total gas production at 37 °C was evaluated in reactors digesting either 3:1 excreta:water or 3:1 water:TPOMW. The mesophilic co-fermentation of cattle excreta with TPOMW at an organic loading rate (OLR) of 5.5 g COD L?1 d?1 rendered 1096 mL biogas L?1 sludge d?1. This was 337% higher than that of excreta alone. The methane yield resulting from the codigestion was 179 L CH4 kg?1 VS loaded, of which 42% was attributed to the quarter of the reactor corresponding to TPOMW. Under thermophilic conditions, the codigestion yielded 17.3% more methane than mesophilically. In the reactor digesting TPOMW alone (OLR = 3.8 g COD L?1 d?1) the ratio VFA/alkalinity exceeded 0.8 after 21 d, leading to its acidification and inhibition of methanogenesis. Farm-scale digestion of animal excreta and TPOMW should be promoted in Mediterranean countries as an environmentally sound option for waste recycling and renewable energy production.  相似文献

We report lasing at 160 nm in the Lyman band of molecular hydrogen. The laser is pumped by 200 mJ/150 fs pulses from the ATLAS titanium-sapphire laser at our institute. The pump pulses are focused at an angle of incidence of 60° onto a 9-cm-long gold target to a line focus, generating traveling-wave excitation. With 80 mbar of hydrogen in the target chamber we measure an average gain of 1.1 cm-1 and achieve a total gain-length product of 10. The evaluation of the far-field pattern shows that the beam originates from a region with an electron density of 5×1015 cm-3. A simple model of the H2 laser is presented which explains the main part of our observations and supports a pump mechanism of photoelectron pumping  相似文献

A sequency-division multiplexing system is described that operates on multilevel data signals, where the output carrier does not contain more levels than the input. The system also possesses an efficient tradeoff between error correction and the number of channels in use. All operations are done in the residue number system, where the ideal p is any odd number. The system is particularly suited for data coded in is-complement fashion, and results for a 16-channel system are shown.  相似文献

In this study, seven full‐scale anaerobic digesters, with or without co‐substrate regime, were analysed by physicochemical and molecular biological methods. A combination of robust community fingerprinting and Illumina MiSeq sequencing revealed a core bacterial community dominated by Chloroflexi, Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria, with variations in the profiles because of differences in the co‐substrate feeding regime. Despite these differences, physicochemical properties revealed a stable performance of all reactors, indicating a resilient bacterial microbiota in all full‐scale reactors. A rich bacterial core community ensured reactor functionality, whilst feeding regime and reactor type impacted the overall and the core bacterial diversity. Within the Archaea, Methanosaeta dominated in all reactors. Results indicated no relationship between archaeal community structure and the type of co‐substrate digested. Methanogens rely on the metabolic end products of bacterial activity and are thus less dependent on differences in the initial co‐substrate regime.  相似文献
