We report polarization-dependent angle-resolved photoemission studies of single crystalline Ba2Cu3O4Cl2. This antiferromagnet adopts a layered body-centered tetragonal structure related to that of the cuprates, but with anextra copper site resulting in a plane with Cu3O4 stoichiometry. For the -M direction of the Brillouin zone we observe a dispersive feature with a bandwidth of 400 ±80 meV, which approaches to within 0.9 eV of the Fermi level at (/2,/2). The magnitude of the observed dispersion and its polarization dependence are consistent with its origin as a purely antibonding combination of O2px,y and atomic orbitals from the cuprate-like CuO2 sub-system, i.e. Zhang-Rice singlets.  相似文献

Many engineering materials and structures, such as cellular structures, sandwich core structures and laminated plates with holes, can be modeled by an inclusion problem with anisotropic matrix. The paper studies the effective properties and the microscopic deformation of anisotropic plates with periodic holes by using direct and mathematical homogenization. The effective stiffnesses are calculated by different homogenization methods and the microscopic deformation of a RVE is modeled by the finite element method for the plate with arbitrarily shaped holes. All of the effective stiffness coefficients, especially stretching-shear coupling coefficients are evaluated.  相似文献

In this letter, we report the dielectric/graphene interface physics and engineering of large-scale, chemical vapor deposited (CVD) graphene transistors by self-assembling a molecular-scale organosilane monolayer onto the dielectric surface. We show that phenyl-alkyl-terminated self-assembled monolayers (SAM) at the dielectric/graphene interface consistently improve the graphene device performance and reliability. The extrinsic field-effect mobility of large-scale CVD graphene transistors on the phenyl-SAM engineered dielectric is currently up to 2500 cm(2)/(V s) at room temperature, considerably higher than the counterparts without the SAM. In addition, significant reduction on the bias stress instability and hysteresis is achieved by the SAM-based interface engineering. Further analysis reveals that charge injection from graphene to the dielectric/graphene interface dominates the observed hysteresis behavior. For both graphene transistors with and without SAMs, the bias stress stability, that is, Dirac point shift under bias stress, is well described by the stretched exponential model with its fitting parameters clearly indicating different interface properties.  相似文献

A versatile wavelet domain noise filtration technique for medical imaging   总被引:18,自引:0,他引:18  
In this paper, we propose a robust wavelet domain method for noise filtering in medical images. The proposed method adapts itself to various types of image noise as well as to the preference of the medical expert; a single parameter can be used to balance the preservation of (expert-dependent) relevant details against the degree of noise reduction. The algorithm exploits generally valid knowledge about the correlation of significant image features across the resolution scales to perform a preliminary coefficient classification. This preliminary coefficient classification is used to empirically estimate the statistical distributions of the coefficients that represent useful image features on the one hand and mainly noise on the other. The adaptation to the spatial context in the image is achieved by using a wavelet domain indicator of the local spatial activity. The proposed method is of low complexity, both in its implementation and execution time. The results demonstrate its usefulness for noise suppression in medical ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. In these applications, the proposed method clearly outperforms single-resolution spatially adaptive algorithms, in terms of quantitative performance measures as well as in terms of visual quality of the images.  相似文献

In some video coding applications, it is desirable to reduce the complexity of the video encoder at the expense of a more complex decoder. Wyner–Ziv (WZ) video coding is a new paradigm that aims to achieve this. To allocate a proper number of bits to each frame, most WZ video coding algorithms use a feedback channel, which allows the decoder to request additional bits when needed. However, due to these multiple bit requests, the complexity and the latency of WZ video decoders increase massively. To overcome these problems, in this paper we propose a rate allocation (RA) algorithm for pixel-domain WZ video coders. This algorithm estimates at the encoder the number of bits needed for the decoding of every frame while still keeping the encoder complexity low. Experimental results show that, by using our RA algorithm, the number of bit requests over the feedback channel—and hence, the decoder complexity and the latency—are significantly reduced. Meanwhile, a very near-to-optimal rate-distortion performance is maintained. (R)-6-Ethyl-2-methyl-2,3-dihydro-4H-pyran-4-one, (1R,3S,5R)-3-ethyl-1,8-dimethyl-2,9-dioxabicyclo[3.3. 1]non-7-ene, and (1R,3S,5R)-3-ethyl-1,8-dimethyl-2,9-dioxabicyclo[3.3.1]non-7-en-6-one represent the main components in the male pheromone of the swift moth,Hepialus hecta. The amounts of the three components were 40, 5, and 5 g per male, respectively. Structure elucidation of the compounds was based on spectroscopic data as compared to synthetic reference samples. The absolute configurations were determined by gas chromatography on chiral stationary phases; optically active samples served as reference compounds. Electrophysiological and behavioral experiments with natural material and synthetic samples clearly showed the three heterocyclic compounds to act as pheromones. This paper presents a new algorithm for enhancement of microcalcifications in mammograms. The main novelty is the application of techniques we have developed for construction of filterbanks derived from the continuous wavelet transform. These discrete wavelet decompositions, called integrated wavelets, are optimally designed for enhancement of multiscale structures in images. Furthermore, we use a model based approach to refine existing methods for general enhancement of mammograms resulting in a more specific enhancement of microcalcifications. We present results of our method and compare them with known algorithms. Finally, we want to indicate how these techniques can also be applied to the detection of microcalcifications. Our algorithm was positively evaluated in a clinical study. It has been implemented in a mammography workstation designed for soft-copy reading of digital mammograms developed by IMAGETOOL, Germany.  相似文献

In experiments with increasing applications of nitrogen to oats and rye grown in pots, grain with widely varying N-content was obtained. In rye increasing N-concentrations were associated with decreases in the protein of lysine and several other amino acids including threonine, tryptophan, methionine and cystine, whereas glutamic acid, proline and phenylalanine increased. In oat protein the amino acid composition was less affected by increasing N-content in grain. Concentrations of most essential amino acids were higher in oat than in rye protein, especially at high N-levels. The ratio lysine + arginine/proline was higher in oat than in rye protein and did not, as in rye, decrease with increasing N-concentration. Lysine as a percentage of dry matter increased up to the highest N-level in both cereals. In rat feeding experiments true digestibility of the protein of oats and rye increased to the same extent with increasing N-concentration in grain, whereas the biological value of the protein decreased considerably in rye but only slightly in oats. Net protein utilisation decreased with increasing N-content in rye but increased in oats.  相似文献

In experiments with increasing applications of nitrogen to ryegrass, red clover and lucerne grown in pots, freeze-dried plant material with widely varying N-content was obtained. Increasing N-concentrations were associated with increasing nitrate contents which proportionally decreased the concentrations (g/16 g total-N) of all amino acids. Expressed as g amino acid/16 g total-N minus NO3-N, concentrations of all amino acids were closely similar at different N-levels. Differences between the three species ' amino acid composition were negligible except for a lower concentration of lysine in the crude protein of ryegrass and of methionine + cystine in the crude protein of clover and lucerne. In feeding experiments with rats increasing total-N concentrations were generally associated with higher true digestibilities of the crude protein of ryegrass, red clover and lucerne, but slightly lower biological values, especially in red clover. Net crude protein utilisation was increased by increasing total-N concentration in ryegrass, decreased in red clover and unchanged in lucerne. When ranked according to the nutritional value of the crude protein, ryegrass comes first, lucerne second and red clover last. Addition of synthetic methionine to ryegrass and lucerne improved their biological values by 30 and 47% respectively.  相似文献

Remote‐controlled drug depots represent a highly valuable tool for the timely controlled administration of pharmaceuticals in a patient compliant manner. Here, the first pharmacologically controlled material that allows for the scheduled induction of a medical response in mice is described. To this aim, a novel, humanized biohybrid material that releases its cargo in response to a small‐molecule stimulus licensed for human use is developed. The functionality of the material in mice is demonstrated by the remote‐controlled delivery of a vaccine against the oncogenic human papillomavirus type 16. It is shown that the biohybrid depot‐mediated immunoprotection is equivalent to the classical multi‐injection‐based vaccination. These results indicate that this material can be used as a universal remote‐controlled vehicle for the patient‐compliant delivery of vaccines and pharmaceuticals.  相似文献
