Common pharmaceutical excipients and compounds were dried either by a simple convection method or by a combined convection and microwave method in a static bed or by a combined microwave and vacuum method in a mixed bed. A simple placebo granulation was dried by an exclusive vacuum method and by a combined microwave and vacuum method in a mixed bed. The results were compared.  相似文献

An UHV surface electron microscope is described which allows the study of surfaces under vacuum conditions common in surface science with the following techniques: LEERM; LEED; photo, thermionic, secondary emission microscopy; absolute micro area work function measurements. In particular, the first LEERM of Mo(110) and Si(111) surfaces are presented. They show monoatomic steps with high contrast due to Fresnel diffraction and structural differences, respectively. Condensed silver crystallites are imaged. Gold adsorption layers on Si(111) show strong contrast in photoemission; the layer thickness is deduced from LEED.  相似文献

Although hapten immune responses have been intensively studied in the mouse, very little is known about hapten determinants involved in human allergic reactions. Penicillins, as chemically reactive compounds of low molecular weight, constitute typical examples of hapten allergens for humans. Penicillins become immunogenic only after covalent binding to carrier proteins and in this form frequently induced IgE-mediated allergic reactions in patients subjected to antibiotic treatment. However, our previous data strongly indicated that penicillins also form part of the epitopes contacting the antigen receptors of beta lactam-specific T cells in allergic individuals. We have therefore investigated the molecular constraints involved in the T cell immune response to penicillin G (Pen G). Designer peptides containing a DRB1*0401-binding motif and covalently modified with Pen G via a lysine epsilon-amino group were found to induce proliferation of Pen G-specific T cell clones. A precise positioning of the hapten molecule on the peptide backbone was required for optimal T cell recognition. Furthermore, we extended these observations from our designer peptides to show that a peptide sequence derived from a natural DRB1*1101-binding peptide modified in vitro with Pen G, also acquired antigenic properties. Our data for the first time provide insight into the manner in which allergenic haptens are recognized by human T cells involved in allergic reactions to drugs and suggest possible mechanisms leading to the onset of these adverse immune responses.  相似文献

This study focuses on improving microcalcification classification by establishing an efficient computer-aided diagnosis system that extracts Daubechies-4 and biorthogonal wavelet features. These wavelets were chosen because they have been used in military target recognition and fingerprint recognition research with images characterized by low contrast, similar to mammography. Feature selection techniques are employed to further increase classification performance. The artificial neural network feature selection techniques are complemented by a conventional decision boundary-based feature selection method. The results using the wavelet features are compared to more conventional measures of image texture, angular second moment, and Karhunen Loeve coefficients. The use of alternative signal processing to compare wavelet and neural techniques allows for a measure of the problem difficulty. It is concluded that advances and contributions have been made with the introduction of two novel feature extraction methods for breast cancer diagnosis, wavelets and eigenmasses. Additionally, feature selection techniques are demonstrated, compared, and validated, transforming adequate discrimination power into promising classification results  相似文献

To clarify some of the solid-state aspects of cold fusion in deuterated transition metal electrodes, we have carried out first-principles self-consistent total energy calculations for various configurations of atomic and diatomic deuterium inside fcc palladium. We find that the stability of the Pd+D system is controlled by the relative position of the deuterium-inducedantibonding level with respect to the Fermi energy. The equilibrium D-D distance in dense PdD up to =3 is found to be much larger than the free space value. The calculated Born-Oppenheimer energy surface of diatomic D2 in crystalline palladiuim is shown to have but metastable local minima whose internuclear separation is at least 0.2 Ålarger than that of the isolated D2 molecule. We conclude that D2 incrystalline Pd will have a substantially lower tunneling probability than hitherto thought and that explanation for fusion mechanisms should be sought elsewhere.  相似文献

Summary Monomer modified tall oil fatty acid trimethylolethane medium type of phthalic alkyds made by the High Polymer Alkyd Technique show improved properties in dry time, mar resistance, and flexibility as compared with monomer modified conventional prepared systems. Greater hardness, less color degradation, greater resistance to extended periods at high temperature, and alkali and detergent resistances result from the urea and melamine resin modifications of tall oil fatty acid High Polymer alkyds than is obtained with similarly modified conventional alkyds.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviour of several natural ilmenites has been studied by cyclic voltammetry. From the analysis of the current-voltage curves it was concluded that the valences of the metal ions in FeTiO3 are FeII and TiIV. It was also found that little amounts of FeIII and excess of TiIV (probably TiO2) can enter into the composition of the ilmenites.  相似文献

Adsorbate interactions and reactions on metal surfaces have been investigated using scanning tunneling microscopy. The manners in which adsorbates perturb the surface electronic structure in their vicinity are discussed. The effects these perturbations have on other molecules are shown to be important in overlayer growth. Interactions of molecules with surface steps are addressed, and each molecule's electron affinity is shown to dictate its adsorption sites at step edges. Standing waves emanating from steps are demonstrated to effect transient molecular adsorption up to 40 A away from the step edge. Halobenzene derivatives are used to demonstrate how the surface is important in aligning reactive intermediates.  相似文献
