Optimizing the selective flocculation of coal by means of a selective reagent

The need to improve coal enrichment stems from the sharp deterioration in the coal being enriched (increasing ash and moisture content, content of small classes, rock content, etc.), which results from the widespread mechanization of mining operations, the development of high-ash deposits, and dust suppression [1].     

Hepatic and pancreatic effects of polyenoylphosphatidylcholine in rats with alloxan-induced diabetes

In neonatally allylestrenol treated animals in adult age a single benzpyrene treatment significantly decreases the female and significantly increases the male rat's sexual activity. Three month old females display the negative sexual behavioral effect of neonatal allylestrenol treatment less than the six month old ones. The benzpyrene treatment in adult age decreases the sexual activity of male rats. The experiments call the attention to the modifying effect of perinatal steroid treatments to similar exposure in adult age.     

Degradation of protective coatings of the Ni-M-Cr-Al-Y system due to sulfide-oxide corrosion

The results of testing corrosion resistance longevity in coatings of the Ni-M-Cr-Al-Y system at temperatures of 800, 850, and 900°C are given. The kinetic dependences of corrosion are determined, successive stages of the degradation of coatings are identified, and the effect of alloying coatings with chromium and aluminum on their degradation and durability is established.     

Determination of the electrical conductivity of heat-resistant concretes

The problem of the electrical conductivity of heat-resistant concretes and bonding agents is considered and a method for determining this parameter is suggested. In addition to the thermal resistivity, the electric conductivity is a factor affecting the lifetime of lining materials for high-temperature devices. The possibility of using the granulated form of biocompatible material made of calcium-phosphate glass ceramic BGC for treatment of maxillary cysts was demonstrated.     

Modeling of the Formation of Steep Portions of a Piecewise Continuous Profile in a One-Step Technology for Fabricating Diffractive Optical Elements using Oblique Laser Beams

This paper presents the results of modeling the most important component of a one-step technology of fabricating kinoform lenses in thick photoresist layers with increased diffraction efficiency due to the formation of backward slopes of Fresnel zones with a steepness of up to 90° using oblique laser beams. It is shown that this method of fabricating volume structures makes it possible to significantly increase the steepness of backward slopes of the zones in low-contrast photoresists (k = 3) and to form practically vertical slopes in moderate-contrast photoresists (k = 10).
