Summary The mass spectra of secondary ions emitted from PVK thin layers under 2 keV Xe+ bombardment were measured. The charasteristic elemental and molecular ions emitted were specified. The temperature dependence of the secondary emission was also measured. Our goal was to optimize the growth conditions of submerged mycelial cultures of Lentinula edodes (Shiitake mushroom) in order to obtain a new dietary supplement enriched in selenium We designed a process technology in which mycelial cultures were cultivated in media composed of beet molasses, 10%; liquid stillage, 5%; corn steep liquor, 0.15%; and KH2PO4, 0.3%, enriched with selenium in concentrations ranging from 0 to 100 μg/mL by the addition of sodium selenite of selenic acid. Se concentrations in mycelial dry mass rose from 0.001 mg/g (mycelia cultivated in media containing no selenium) to 50 mg/g (mycelia cultivated in medium containing 100 μg Se/mL). The highest mycelial specific growth rate (0.46/day) was recorded when the concentration of selenium in the medium was lower than 20 μg/mL. In vitro, estimated Se bioavailabilities from selenized mycelium strongly depended on its preparation in a proper manner and were 60% and 82% for dried mycelium and mycelial lyophilizate, respectively. Our results suggest that these optimized culture conditions could be applied to obtain a new Se-enriched dietary supplement. 相似文献

Our goal is to obtain a new food supplement — a chemopreventive preparation derived from selenium (Se)-enriched Lentinula edodes mycelium. In the present study the bioavailability of selenium from Se-enriched mycelium preparations was tested in vitro and in vivo. Three different preparations of selenated mycelium were compared: dried mycelium, lyophilized mycelium, and lyophilized-autolyzed mycelium. In vitro, estimated Se bioavailabilities were 60%, 82%, and 98%, respectively. In vivo bioavailability was determined in rats. As reference, sodium selenite and Se yeast formulations were used at an Se-equivalent dose. The pharmacokinetic data for tested mycelial preparations suggest a rapid but incomplete Se absorption, and rapid elimination, without risk of accumulation. The speciation of selenium in Se-enriched mycelial cultures was carried out by specific oxido-reduction reactions. For tested mycelium the main part of Se was in the 0 and IV oxidation states in inorganic form or combined in a lipid or carbohydrate structure, about 47% was in the –II state in Se-amino acids or in other undefined water- or alcohol soluble organic compounds. Differences in pharmacokinetic data for Se yeast and L. edodes mycelial formulations probably arise from differences in Se speciation. The aim of this work is to present the results of the analysis of composition of mono-, di- and oligosaccharides, including
the content of fructooligosaccharides as well as rafinose, stachyose in pseudo stalk of leek plants of the following cultivars:
Shelton F1, Belton F1 and Parton F1. Leek plants were stored in cold room at the temperature 0 °C and relative humidity around
98% in the period from December to May. Fructose, glucose, saccharose, fructooligosaccharides (FOS) as well as α-galactosides
were determined with the HPLC method with the application of water-alcohol extracts. It was shown that some of the studied
parameters have changed during storage, i.e., the glucose content increased from 4.4 ± 0.3 to 16.2 ± 1.6, fructose from 4.7 ± 0.2
to 23.8 ± 0.4, saccharose from 5.1 ± 0.7 to 18.7 ± 0.1, depending on the cultivar and the storage period. The largest increase
in the content of fructose and glucose took place between 60th and 90th day of storage which testifies to intensive hydrolysis
of fructans. Leek cv. Parton F1 was characterised by the largest content of fructans and the lowest susceptibility to hydrolysis.
The amount of kestose, nystose and rafinose after the period of storage changed from 0.3 ± 0.0 to 0.9 ± 0.2, 0.5 ± 0.1 to
1.8 ± 0.1, 0.8 ± 0.1 to 1.8 ± 0.2 g/100 g of dry mass, respectively. The content of stachyose, in turn, remained at a constant
level and amounts to around 0.5 g/100 g of dry mass. Leek plants kept in typical refrigeration conditions are characterised
by good durability and constitute a valuable merchandise. However, due to ongoing hydrolysis processes, the content of prebiotic

These precursors react by losing hydride ion to give blue oligomeric dyes. Carbazoles substituted in the 9-position by CH2SPh, CH2SOPh, and CH2SO2Ph rearrange to give carbazole oligomers linked at the 3,6-positions. A residual ghost artefact in echo-planar imaging (EPI) remains after the standard correction procedure based on a 1-dimensional
phase-modulation of the spectra of even or odd echoes. A better reduction of this artefact is demonstrated using a 2-dimensional
phase correction. The phase correction map is measured inside the ghost-free region of the image, preferably in a reference
scan with an increased field of view, as the phase difference between complex images reconstructed separately from even and
odd echoes. An extrapolated map consisting of spatial components up to the second order (constant,x, y, xy andx
2−y2) is then found by a fit to the measured values. This map is used to correct the phase of even- and odd-reconstructed images
before adding them. This procedure may cause some spatially dependent loss of signal, but if the level of the residual artefact

Standard lead—lead sulphate electrode potential was determined over the temperature range 20–240°C from emf measurements of the Pb, PbSO4H2SO4 (0.05M)K2SO4KClHCl(0.1M)/AgCl, Ag and Pb, PbSO4H2SO4(m)K2SO4H2SO4(0.05M)PbSO4, Pb cells where m = 0.005, 0.01, 0.1 and 0.5 M. To this effect lead—lead sulphate electrode potential was calculated using the temperature relationship of the standard silver—silver chloride electrode potential and activity coefficients of hydrochloric acid determined by Greeley et al. at temperatures up to 260°C. Diffusion potentials occurring at the phase boundaries in the cells under investigation were calculated using the Henderson's equation. Values of the standard lead—lead sulphate electrode potential were determined by extrapolation of the E°′ function to the zero ionic strength which was calculated using the second sulphuric acid dissociation constant determined by Lietzke et al. at temperatures up to 300°C. The standard electrode potential was described in the temperature range 20–240°C by the following relationship: E°Pb, PbSO4/SO2?4(V) = 0.040-0.00126T. A change in entropy ΔS° of the electrode reaction Pb + SO2?4 = PbSO4 + 2e? is constant in this temperature range and is ?243 JK?1 mol?1 (?1018 cal K?1 mol?1). 相似文献

This paper focuses on the problem of the evaluation of strains around the inclusions of various shapes and properties located in the uniform matrix undergoing large plastic deformations. The analysis is performed using the rigid-plastic finite-element approach. The uniform plane-strain deformation field is simulated by an introduction of zero friction forces into the program for the compression process. An assumption that the die is wider than the sample allows to simulate ideally uniform flow of metal. Several shapes of the inclusions are investigated, but the results for three most common shapes of the particle's cross-section are presented in the paper. They are: square with the sides parallel to the main directions, square with the sides inclined under an angle of 45° to the main directions and round. 相似文献
