On sorting triangles in a delaunay tessellation 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In a two-dimensional Delaunay-triangulated domain, there exists a partial ordering of the triangles (with respect to a vertex) that is consistent with the two-dimensional visibility of the triangles from that vertex. An equivalent statement is that a polygon that is star-shaped with respect to a given vertex can be extended, one triangle at a time, until it includes the entire domain. Forward displacement solutions are presented for a class of spatial parallel manipulators. In particular, considered are manipulators consisting of a platform supported through passive spherical joints by three branches, each branch having three-revolute joints forming its main arm. Solutions are described for arbitrary main-arm layouts and for all possible cases of redundant (nine, eight, and seven sensors) and non-redundant (six sensors) sensing of branch main-arm joint displacements. It is demonstrated that closed-form forward displacement solutions can be found for all cases of redundant sensing. Furthermore, it is shown that a closed-form solution can be obtained for one of the two possible cases of non-redundant sensing of the main-arm joint displacements. The only case of joint displacement sensing not allowing a closed-form forward displacement solution is two joints sensed per branch, a case that can be expressed as a 16th-order polynomial of a single variable. Due to the importance of having efficient and failure-safe solutions for the forward displacement problem, it is suggested that appropriate redundancy in displacement sensing should be an important consideration in the design of parallel manipulation devices. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

The influence of thermal treatment and liquid nitrogen treatment of cocoons on the electric properties of natural silk fibroin has been studied. It is found that, at the cocoon treatment by liquid nitrogen, the ratio of the amorphous and crystalline parts of the fibroin is preserved and the concentration of submicrocracks in them changes to a lesser extent than at treatment by heated air and a UHF field. The increase of the degree of crystallinity in the polymers leads to a certain increase of their breakdown voltage. 相似文献

Cloud computing is an emerging technology in which information technology resources are virtualized to users in a set of computing resources on a pay‐per‐use basis. It is seen as an effective infrastructure for high performance applications. Divisible load applications occur in many scientific and engineering applications. However, dividing an application and deploying it in a cloud computing environment face challenges to obtain an optimal performance due to the overheads introduced by the cloud virtualization and the supporting cloud middleware. Therefore, we provide results of series of extensive experiments in scheduling divisible load application in a Cloud environment to decrease the overall application execution time considering the cloud networking and computing capacities presented to the application's user. We experiment with real applications within the Amazon cloud computing environment. Our extensive experiments analyze the reasons of the discrepancies between a theoretical model and the reality and propose adequate solutions. These discrepancies are due to three factors: the network behavior, the application behavior and the cloud computing virtualization. Our results show that applying the algorithm result in a maximum ratio of 1.41 of the measured normalized makespan versus the ideal makespan for application in which the communication to computation ratio is big. They show that the algorithm is effective for those applications in a heterogeneous setting reaching a ratio of 1.28 for large data sets. For application following the ensemble clustering model in which the computation to communication ratio is big and variable, we obtained a maximum ratio of 4.7 for large data set and a ratio of 2.11 for small data set. Applying the algorithm also results in an important speedup. These results are revealing for the type of applications we consider under experiments. The experiments also reveal the impact of the choice of the platforms provided by Amazon on the performance of the applications under study. Considering the emergence of cloud computing for high performance applications, the results in this paper can be widely adopted by cloud computing developers. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have attracted the attention of researchers due to their properties. Biological synthesis of AgNPs is eco‐friendly and cost‐effective preferred to physical and chemical methods, which utilize environmentally harmful agents and large amounts of energy. Microorganisms have been explored as potential biofactories to synthesize AgNPs. Bacterial NP synthesis is affected by Ag salt concentration, pH, temperature and bacterial species. In this study, Bacillus spp., isolated from soil, were screened for AgNP synthesis at pH 12 with 5 mM Ag nitrate (AgNO3) final concentration at room temperature. The isolate with fastest color change and the best ultraviolet‐visible spectrum in width and height were chosen as premier one. AgNO3 and citrate salts were compared in terms of their influence on NP synthesis. Spherical Ag chloride (AgCl) NPs with a size range of 35–40 nm were synthesized in 1.5 mM Ag citrate solution. Fourier transform infrared analysis demonstrated that protein and carbohydrates were capping agents for NPs. In this study, antimicrobial and antitumor properties of the AgNP were investigated. The resulting AgCl NPs had bacteriostatic activity against four standard spp. And multi‐drug resistant strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A polyhedral decomposition can be unambiguously described as the collection of four primitive elements (i.e., polyhedra, facets, edges, and vertices) plus their mutual adjacency relations. We consider here the problem of representing a specific kind of polyhedral decomposition, i.e., a tetrahedralization. We describe two different representations for a tetrahedralization. The first one can only model polyhedral decompositions with tetrahedral cells, while the second one is suitable for describing any partition of a volume into polyhedral cells with triangular facets. We present two sets of primitive Euler operators, which build and manipulate such representations while maintaining their topological integrity. The use of such operators is demonstrated in connection with two algorithms for building a Delaunay tetrahedralization, which show the different hedralization, which show the different uses of the two representations. 相似文献

Nanoparticles of metal–organic frameworks (MOF NPs) are crystalline hybrid micro- or mesoporous nanomaterials that show great promise in biomedicine due to their significant drug loading ability and controlled release. Herein, we develop porous capsules from aggregate of nanoparticles of the iron carboxylate MIL-100(Fe) through a low-temperature spray-drying route. This enables the concomitant one-pot encapsulation of high loading of an antitumor drug, methotrexate, within the pores of the MOF NPs, and the collagenase enzyme (COL), inside the inter-particular mesoporous cavities, upon the formation of the capsule, enhancing tumor treatment. This association provides better control of the release of the active moieties, MTX and collagenase, in simulated body fluid conditions in comparison with the bare MOF NPs. In addition, the loaded MIL-100 capsules present, against the A-375 cancer cell line, selective toxicity nine times higher than for the normal HaCaT cells, suggesting that MTX@COL@MIL-100 capsules may have potential application in the selective treatment of cancer cells. We highlight that an appropriate level of collagenase activity remained after encapsulation using the spray dryer equipment. Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women for which numerous diagnostic and therapeutic options have been developed. Namely, the targeted treatment of BC, for the most part, relies on the expression of growth factors and hormone receptors by these cancer cells. Despite this, close to 30% of BC patients may experience relapse due to the presence of minimal residual disease (MRD) consisting of surviving disseminated tumour cells (DTCs) from the primary tumour which can colonise a secondary site. This can lead to either detectable metastasis or DTCs entering a dormant state for a prolonged period where they are undetectable. In the latter, cells can re-emerge from their dormant state due to intrinsic and microenvironmental cues leading to relapse and metastatic outgrowth. Pre- and clinical studies propose that targeting dormant DTCs may inhibit metastasis, but the choice between keeping them dormant or forcing their “awakening” is still controversial. This review will focus on cancer cells’ microenvironmental cues and metabolic and molecular properties, which lead to dormancy, relapse, and metastatic latency in BC. Furthermore, we will focus on the role of autophagy, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), miRNAs, and exosomes in influencing the induction of dormancy and awakening of dormant BC cells. In addition, we have analysed BC treatment from a viewpoint of autophagy, lncRNAs, miRNAs, and exosomes. We propose the targeted modulation of these processes and molecules as modern aspects of precision medicine for BC treatment, improving both novel and traditional BC treatment options. Understanding these pathways and processes may ultimately improve BC patient prognosis, patient survival, and treatment response. 相似文献
