The article proposes an analytical method for determining occupancy distribution and blocking probability in systems which are offered overflow traffic composed of multi-service traffic streams. The described analytical model enables determination of parameters of traffic overflowed from primary groups in hierarchically constructed telecommunication networks. The proposed method is based on an appropriate modification of the Kaufman-Roberts recursion for the full-availability group with multi-rate traffic and uses the modified Fredericks & Hayward’s approximation. Additionally, an approximate method for dimensioning systems with multi-service overflow traffic is also presented. The analytical results of the blocking probability and the results obtained in the dimensioning processes calculated using the presented methodology are compared with the data obtained from the system simulation process.  相似文献

The rheological properties of spinning solutions of polyacrylonitrile in dimethyl formamide (DMF) containing various amounts of a ferromagnetic nanoaddition were investigated. The porous structure, the strength and thermal properties of fibers obtained from these solutions were assessed, as well as the uniformity of the nanoaddition distribution on the fiber surface was estimated. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Effects of jasplakinolide (JSP), a stabilizer of F-actin, and latrunculin A (LTA), a destabilizer of F-actin, on a series of events occurring in the execution phase of staurosporine (STS)-induced apoptotic processes were studied using human osteosarcoma 143B cells. Time-dependent apparent increases of the population of cells with collapsed membrane potential of mitochondria (Delta Psi(m)) caused by STS treatment were not due to actual decreases in the Delta Psi(m) per cell, but due to the fragmentation of cells resulting in decreases in the number of active mitochondria per cell. Decreases in the Delta Psi(m) in fragmented cells occurred late in the execution phase. Both JSP and LAT failed to prevent STS-induced release of cytochrome c from mitochondria followed by the activation of caspases 3 and 9, the cleavage of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and apoptotic nuclear fragmentation. However, both drugs prevented STS-induced apoptotic cell fragmentation and decreases in the Delta Psi(m). These results indicate that physicochemical states of actin filaments play a certain role in the execution phase of STS-induced apoptotic processes.  相似文献

The analysis of dynamic temperature changes in microelectronic layered circuit (especially made in thick-film technology) has been presented in the paper. Such transient states are caused by electric pulse with high energy and short time of duration. It leads to short but the very violent temperature increase and - as result - defects or parameter changes of active layer. The mathematical function which describes the instantaneous temperature changes was presented in this paper in order to provide more accurate analysis of reliability and thermal properties measurement problems.The two-layer structures (with different thermo-physical properties) were the subject of conducted research, especially one of them, namely heat source excited by electric pulse. Such configuration is typical for microcircuits made in hybrid technology such as LTCC (low temperature co-fired ceramic), HTCC (high temperature co-fired ceramic) as well as thick - film technology in which polymer and photoimageable (photosensitive) materials are used.  相似文献

The main goal of the paper was investigation of influence of aluminum electrode preparation via thermal evaporation (TE) and the magnetron sputtering (MS) on power conversion efficiency (PCE) of polymeric solar cells. The photovoltaic properties of such three kinds devices based on poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT) as ITO/P3HT/Al, ITO/P3HT:PCBM (1:1, w/w)/Al and ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PCBM (1:1, w/w)/Al were investigated. For the constructed devices impedance spectroscopy were analyzed. For devices lack of PEDOT:PSS layer or lack of PCBM, photovoltaic parameters were very low and similar to the parameters obtained for device with Al electrode prepared by magnetron sputtering. The devices comprising PEDOT:PSS with P3HT:PCBM showed the best photovoltaic parameters such as a VOC of 0.60 V, JSC of 4.61 mA/cm2, FF of 0.21, and PCE of 5.7 × 10?1%.  相似文献

In this paper, results of hydrogen production via methane reforming in the atmospheric pressure microwave plasma are presented. A waveguide-based nozzleless cylinder-type microwave plasma source (MPS) was used to convert methane into hydrogen. Important advantages of the presented waveguide-based nozzleless cylinder-type MPS are: stable operation in various gases (including air) at high flow rates, no need for a cooling system, and impedance matching. The plasma generation was stabilized by an additional swirled nitrogen flow (50 or 100 l min−1). The methane flow rate was up to 175 l min−1. The absorbed microwave power could be changed from 3000 to 5000 W. The hydrogen production rate and the corresponding energy efficiency in the presented methane reforming by the waveguide-based nozzleless cylinder-type MPS were up to 255 g[H2] h−1 and 85 g[H2] kWh−1, respectively. These parameters are better than those typical of the conventional methods of hydrogen production (steam reforming of methane and water electrolysis).  相似文献

Antigens incorporated in subunit vaccines are typically poorly immunogenic, so a strong immunostimulant (adjuvant) and/or delivery system is required to boost immunogenicity. In this work, the various functional polymer nanostructures, that is, rods, worms, spheres, and tadpoles are used to develop potent peptide antigen delivery systems. The antigen PADRE-J8 (PJ8), derived from Group A Streptococcus (GAS) M-protein, is either physically mixed or chemically conjugated to polymeric nanoparticles of different shapes. The physical mixture of polymeric nanoparticles and antigen is more effective in inducing antibody production than their chemical conjugates. Moreover, rod-shaped polymeric nanoparticles in physical mixture with PJ8 elicited higher and more opsonic antibody titers than powerful complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA)-adjuvanted antigen. Herein, for the first time it is demonstrated that a) the block copolymer, in nanoparticle form, can act as an immune adjuvant, b) nanoparticle shape plays a crucial role in their immunogenicity, and c) antigen conjugation is not required, nor is antigen encapsulation or absorption.  相似文献

The accumulation of mutations in cancer driver genes, such as tumor suppressors or proto-oncogenes, affects cellular homeostasis. Disturbances in the mechanism controlling proliferation cause significant augmentation of cell growth and division due to the loss of sensitivity to the regulatory signals. Nowadays, an increasing number of cases of liver cancer are observed worldwide. Data provided by the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) have indicated many alterations within gene sequences, whose roles in tumor development are not well understood. A comprehensive analysis of liver cancer (virus-associated hepatocellular carcinoma) samples has identified new and rare mutations in B-Raf proto-oncogene (BRAF) in Japanese HCC patients, as well as BRAF V600E mutations in French HCC patients. However, their function in liver cancer has never been investigated. Here, using functional analysis and next generation sequencing, we demonstrate the tumorigenic effect of BRAF V600E on hepatocytes (THLE-2 cell line). Moreover, we identified genes such as BMP6, CXCL11, IL1B, TBX21, RSAD2, MMP10, and SERPIND1, which are possibly regulated by the BRAF V600E-mediated, mitogen-activated protein kinases/extracellular signal-regulated kinases (MAPK/ERK) signaling pathway. Through several functional assays, we demonstrate that BRAF L537M, D594A, and E648G mutations alone are not pathogenic in liver cancer. The investigation of genome mutations and the determination of their impact on cellular processes and functions is crucial to unraveling the molecular mechanisms of liver cancer development.  相似文献

Cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) are pivotal mediators and effectors of the DNA damage response (DDR) that regulate both the pathway components and proteins involved in repair processes. Synthetic lethality (SL) describes a situation in which two genes are linked in such a way that the lack of functioning of just one maintains cell viability, while depletion of both triggers cell death. Synthetic lethal interactions involving CDKs are now emerging, and this can be used to selectively target tumor cells with DNA repair defects. In this review, SL interactions of CDKs with protooncogene products MYC, poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP-1), and cellular tumor antigen p53 (TP53) are discussed. The individual roles of each of the SL partners in DDR are described.  相似文献

This article presents a new lake district in Southern Poland created as a result of human activity in the Upper Silesian region. The area has been named the Upper Silesian Anthropogenic Lake District. The lake density of the Lake District as delineated by the authors (with an area of 6766 km2) is 2.74%. It includes 4773 water bodies of various origins – reservoirs retained by dams, flooded mineral workings, water bodies formed in subsidence basins and hollows, levee ponds, residual water bodies following river regulation and other water bodies. These are located in urban‐industrial, rural‐agricultural or quasi‐natural areas. The hydrochemical diversity of water bodies is conditioned by their origin, location in the catchment and function. Studies have shown the widespread occurrence of eutrophication processes in limnic waters within the Lake District. The diverse origin and hydrochemical properties of water bodies within the Upper Silesian Anthropogenic Lake District make it special among other anthropogenic lake districts.  相似文献
