The extraction equilibria of various di- and tripeptides with di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid (D2EHPA) were studied at low pH values. The complex extracted to organic phase consisted of one molecule of peptide and two molecules of D2EHPA dimer. The extraction constants of the peptides correlated well with the distribution coefficients of peptides between 1-octanol and water, which is a measure of hydrophobicity. The permeation rates of peptides through an emulsion liquid membrane were examined by using D2EHPA as a carrier, Span 80 as an emulsifier and kerosene as a diluent. The rates varied considerably with peptide type, depending upon the hydrophobicity.  相似文献

Directional couplers are successfully fabricated on acrylic substrates using polymers synthesised from deuterated methacrylate and deuterated fluoromethacrylate monomers. The excess loss of a 50 mm long coupler is about 0.7 dB including waveguide and fibre coupling losses. A novel method is proposed for tuning the coupling ratio. By bending the coupler, high precision control of within 1% is attained without optical polarisation dependence.<>  相似文献

Low-voltage circuit technologies for higher-density dynamic RAMs (DRAMs) and their application to an experimental 64-Mb DRAM with a 1.5-V internal operating voltage are presented. A complementary current sensing scheme is proposed to reduce data transmission delay. A speed improvement of 20 ns was achieved when utilizing a 1.5-V power supply. An accurate and speed-enhanced half-VCC voltage generator with a current-mirror amplifier and tri-state buffer is proposed. With it, a response time reduction of about 1.5 decades was realized. A word-line driver with a charge-pump circuit was developed to achieve a high boost ratio. A ratio of about 1.8 was obtained from a power supply voltage as low as 1.0 V. A 1.28 μm2 crown-shaped stacked-capacitor (CROWN) cell was also made to ensure a sufficient storage charge and to minimize data-line interference noise. An experimental 1.5 V 64 Mb DRAM was designed and fabricated with these technologies and 0.3 μm electron-beam lithography. A typical access time of 70 ns was obtained, and a further reduction of 50 ns is expected based on simulation results. Thus, a high-speed performance, comparable to that of 16-Mb DRAMs, can be achieved with a typical power dissipation of 44 mW, one tenth that of 16-Mb DRAMs. This indicates that a low-voltage battery operation is a promising target for future DRAMs  相似文献

To eliminate the influence of maltose, ethanol, low molecular weight β-glucan and an inhibitor of the calcofluor fluorescence reaction in wort and beer on the measured values of a calcofluor-FIA, a post-column calcofluor-FIA method has been developed using a short-size gel permeation chromatography column (6.0 × 50 mm). A column packed with polyhydroxymethacrylate gel (molecular weight exclusion limit, 100,000) was found to be the most appropriate for this system. This short column allowed rapid and specific measurement of high molecular weight β-glucan in a few minutes without the influence of the fluorescence inhibitor, maltose and ethanol which have molecular weights of less than 1000 daltons. Because the low molecular weight β-glucan responsible for the scatter caused by a slight difference in measuring conditions such as temperature, calcofluor concentrations, sample volumes, etc., was separated through the use of the column, the measured values by the post-column calcofluor-FIA method hardly fluctuated under different conditions. Though it has been recognized that dilution of a sample could affect a calcofluor FIA, the new system was not influenced. This also made it possible to measure the β-glucan content in dark-coloured samples (even over 100 EBC colour units). The measured values by the post-column FIA showed a high correlation (r2 = 0.993) with those obtained by the enzymatic method (the McCleary method).  相似文献

To increase the hyaluronic acid (HA) yield from Streptococcus thermophilus YIT 2084, fermentation conditions (pH, temperature, agitation, aeration) were optimized in milk-based medium, and the effects of supplemental soybean peptides, which have different molecular weight distributions, were determined. HA production was enhanced to approximately 100 mg/l at pH 6.8 and 33–40 °C. Agitation speed and aeration rate slightly affected HA production. Soybean peptides including those of high molecular weight (approximately 27 to 130 kDa) further increased HA production to 208 mg/l under the optimal condition (pH 6.8, 35 °C, 100 rpm), which was 20-fold greater than non-optimal condition. HA production was no longer related to the specific growth rate. The HA produced under the optimal condition included a large amount of high-molecular-weight fraction of 100 to 2000 kDa, compared with under the basal condition without optimization.  相似文献

Stress granules (SGs) and processing bodies (P bodies) are cytoplasmic domains and play a role in the control of translation and mRNA turnover in mammalian cells subjected to environmental stress. Recent studies have revealed that SGs also form in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae in response to glucose depletion and robust heat shock. However, information about the types of stress that cause budding yeast SGs is quite limited. Here we demonstrate that severe ethanol stress generates budding yeast SGs in a manner independent of the phosphorylation of eIF2α. The concentration that generated budding yeast SGs (>10%) was higher than that causing P bodies (>6%), and P bodies were assembled prior to SGs. As well as mammalian SGs, the assembly of budding yeast SGs under ethanol stress was blocked by cycloheximide. On the other hand, the budding yeast SGs caused by ethanol stress contained eIF3c but not eIF3a and eIF3b, although the eIF3 complex is a core constituent of mammalian SGs. Moreover, null mutants (pbp1Δ, pub1Δ and tif4632Δ) with a strong reduction in SG formation did not resume proliferation after the elimination of ethanol stress, indicating that the formation of budding yeast SGs might play a role in sufficient recovery from ethanol stress.  相似文献
