Technological applications in opto-electronic devices have increased the interest in characterizing porous silicon structure patterns. Due to its physical properties, solutions from KPZ 2D are adopted to simulate the structure of porous material interface whose spatial characteristics are equivalent to those found in porous silicon samples. The analysis of the simulated and real Scanning Force Microscopy (SFM) surfaces was done using the Gradient Pattern Analysis (GPA). We found that the KPZ 2D model presented asymmetry levels compatible with the irregular surfaces observed by means of SFM images of π-Si. 相似文献

In the last years, Service Overlay Networks (SONs) have emerged as a promising means to address some of the issues (e.g. end‐to‐end QoS) affecting the current Internet and to favor the development and deployment of new value‐added Internet services. The deployment of an SON is a capital‐intensive investment, since bandwidth with certain QoS guarantees must be purchased from the individual network domains through bilateral Service Level Agreements. Thus, minimizing the economic cost of the logical end‐to‐end service delivery infrastructure is one of the key objectives for the SON provider. When a SON is aimed at end‐to‐end QoS provisioning, its topology must be designed so as to also satisfy the specific requirements of QoS‐sensitive applications. This paper deals with the problem of planning the SON topology in order to take into account both cost and QoS constraints. More specifically, the paper proposes a set of new algorithms for the design of an optimized SON topology, which minimizes the economic cost while simultaneously meeting bandwidth and delay constraints. The use of an acetylcholinesterase inhibition assay for the detection of dichlorvos in durum wheat samples by a simplified extraction procedure is reported. After an incubation step, the residual activity was determined with an amperometric biosensor using a portable potentiostat. The use of electric eel and recombinant acetylcholinesterase was compared. The effect of the matrix extract was evaluated by using various sample:solvent ratios, 1:2.5, 1:5, 1:10, and 1:20. The optimal extraction ratio, considering the electrochemical interferences and the effect on enzyme activity and bioavailability of the pesticide, was 1:10. Calibrations were performed in buffer and durum wheat extract. The calculated detection limits in buffer solution were 10 ng/ ml and 0.045 ng/ml for electric eel and recombinant acetylcholinesterase, respectively, whereas operating in the matrix extract they increased up to 45 ng/ml and 0.07 ng/ml, corresponding to 0.45 mg/kg (extraction ratio 1:10) and 0.07 mg/kg in samples. These characteristics allowed the detection of contaminated samples at the maximum residue limit, which is 2 mg/kg and well below. Fortified samples of durum wheat were obtained with both dichlorvos and the commercial product Didivane, which contains dichlorvos as an active molecule. At all the tested levels, the occurrence of contaminant was detected with an average recovery of 75%. The total assay time, including the extraction step, was 30 min. Because several extractions as well as most of the assay steps can be run simultaneously, the throughput for one operator is 12 determinations per hour. 相似文献

Technological activities of Staphylococcus carnosus and Staphylococcus simulans strains isolated from fermented sausages 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The aim of this study was to determine the technological properties of 2 strains of Staphylococcus simulans (Ssm12, Ssm21) and 4 strains of S. carnosus (SC28, SC31, SC54 and SC55) for the selection of a potential starter cultures to employ in the processing of dry fermented sausages. The strains were studied to evaluate nitrate reductase, proteolytic, lipolytic, decarboxylase and antioxidant activities as well as growth ability at different temperatures, pH and NaCl concentrations. Nitrate reductase activity was determined at 15, 20 and 30 °C. By spectrophotometric method all the strains were able to reduce nitrate to nitrite at the different temperatures but these results were not confirmed by the agar plate method. Antioxidant and lipolytic activities were evaluated by spectrophotometric assay. All the strains showed antioxidative enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase whereas all appeared unable to hydrolyse pork fat. Proteolytic activity was determined by agar plate method, spectrophotometric assay (OPA) and sodium dodecyl sulphate gel-electrophoresis (SDS–PAGE) and all strains appeared to be able to hydrolyse sarcoplasmic proteins but not myofibrillar proteins. Finally, all the strains grew at 15 and 20 °C, in presence of 10%, 15% and 20% of NaCl and at pH 5.0 and 5.5 and were unable to produce histamine, cadaverine and putrescine. The results showed that all strains studied possess useful technological activities that would make them eligible as a good starter cultures for fermented sausages. 相似文献

Adrenal incidentalomas (AIs) are incidentally discovered adrenal neoplasms. Overt endocrine secretion (glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, and catecholamines) and malignancy (primary or metastatic disease) are assessed at baseline evaluation. Size, lipid content, and washout characterise benign AIs (respectively, <4 cm, <10 Hounsfield unit, and rapid release); nonetheless, 30% of adrenal lesions are not correctly indicated. Recently, image-based texture analysis from computed tomography (CT) may be useful to assess the behaviour of indeterminate adrenal lesions. We performed a systematic review to provide the state-of-the-art of texture analysis in patients with AI. We considered 9 papers (from 70 selected), with a median of 125 patients (range 20–356). Histological confirmation was the most used criteria to differentiate benign from the malignant adrenal mass. Unenhanced or contrast-enhanced data were available in all papers; TexRAD and PyRadiomics were the most used software. Four papers analysed the whole volume, and five considered a region of interest. Different texture features were reported, considering first- and second-order statistics. The pooled median area under the ROC curve in all studies was 0.85, depicting a high diagnostic accuracy, up to 93% in differentiating adrenal adenoma from adrenocortical carcinomas. Despite heterogeneous methodology, texture analysis is a promising diagnostic tool in the first assessment of patients with adrenal lesions. 相似文献

FeOx/ZrO2 samples, prepared by impregnation with Fe(NO3)3, were characterised by means of DRS, XRD, FTIR, redox cycles and volumetric CO adsorption. Volumetric CO adsorption, combined with FTIR, showed that 45% of iron in the sample containing 2.8 Fe atoms nm−2 was capable of forming iron carbonyls. DRS evidenced Fe2O3 on samples with Fe-content≥2.8 atoms nm−2. The selective catalytic reduction of NO with C3H6 in the presence of O2 was studied with a reactant mixture containing NO=4000 ppm, C3H6=4000 ppm, O2=2%. The dependence on iron-content suggests that only isolated iron, prevailing in dilute FeOx/ZrO2, is active for NO reduction, whereas iron on the surface of small oxide particles, prevailing in concentrated FeOx/ZrO2, is active for C3H6 combustion. 相似文献

The paper presents an investigation on the catalytic activity for the ethanol steam reforming of Co3O4 oxidized, reduced and supported on MgO, and of CoO in MgO solid solution. Only samples containing metallic cobalt are found

Osteosarcoma (OS) is a skeletal tumor affecting mainly children and adolescents. The presence of distance metastasis is frequent and it is localized preferentially to the lung, representing the main reason for death among patients. The therapeutic approaches are based on surgery and chemotherapeutics. However, the drug resistance and the side effects associated with the chemotherapy require the identification of new therapeutic approaches. The understanding of the complex biological scenario of the osteosarcoma will open the way for the identification of new targets for its treatment. Recently, a great interest of scientific community is for extracellular vesicles (EVs), that are released in the tumor microenvironment and are important regulators of tumor proliferation and the metastatic process. At the same time, circulating extracellular vesicles can be exploited as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers, and they can be loaded with drugs as a new therapeutic approach for osteosarcoma patients. Thus, the characterization of OS-related EVs could represent a way to convert these vesicles from antagonists for human health into therapeutic and/or diagnostic agents. 相似文献

Oxide solid solutions NiO–MgO of high surface area were studied by XPS. The surface Ni2+ concentration was found to be equal, within experimental errors, to the bulk concentration. The result is analogous to that
found previously for the low surface area NiO–MgO system and for both the high and low surface area systems of CoO–MgO. The
catalytic oxidation of CO by O2, on high and low surface area NiO–MgO and CoO–MgO materials, was investigated with the aim of relating the catalytic activity
with transition metal ion nature and concentration. Turnover frequency data (CO2 molecules produced per second per surface atom) show that the activity is due primarily to the transition metal ions and
is not subject to the ions being in special configurations (dimers or trimers) or in special positions (edges, corners). The
activity of CoO–MgO is higher than that of NiO–MgO solid solution.
