A neural network controller for trajectory control of robotic manipulators that is used not to internalize the inverse dynamic model of the controlled object but to compensate only the uncertainties of the robotic manipulator is presented. Its performance is compared with that of the conventional adaptive scheme. The results show the ability of the neural network controller to adapt to unstructured effects. As a soft and flexible porous structure, a pore array of a steroid cyclophane SC(OH), which consists of the rigid 1,6,20,25-tetraaza[6.1.6.1]paracyclophane
ring connected to four steroid moieties (cholic acid) through flexible L-lysine spacers, was prepared at the air-water interface.
As confirmed by surface pressure (π)-molecular area (A) isotherms, transition between open conformation and cavity conformation
of the SC(OH) molecule was reversibly induced upon repeated compression and expansion of its monolayer at pH 11 where amino
groups of the lysine residues are not fully deprotonated. Capture and release of an aqueous fluorescent guest (TNS) by SC(OH)
was observed upon dynamic cavity formation through surface fluorescence spectroscopy. At pH 12, dynamic cavity formation of
SC(OH) was sufficiently suppressed, and the capture and release of an aqueous TNS by the monolayer was not virtually observed.
Lessened electrostatic repulsion between the SC(OH) molecules due to conversion of ammonium to free amine may prevent the
cavity from reopening. The importance of dynamic nature of cavity formation on the guest binding was also proved by control
experiments using SC(H), which cannot form cavity conformation at any surface pressures at both pH 11 and 12. 相似文献

The room-temperature elastic constants of ErVO4 were considerably smaller than those of isostructural silicate and phosphate analogs. Equimolar blend of poly(l-lactic acid) (PLLA) and poly(d-lactic acid) (PDLA) was melt spun into fibers and the relations among the processing conditions, crystalline structures, thermal properties, and mechanical properties were investigated. Drawing and annealing were performed in order to obtain fiber mainly consisting of the stereocomplex crystal phase. Fibers drawn at various temperatures exhibited either amorphous, highly oriented homo crystal, or the mixture of homo and stereocomplex with a fairly low orientation depending on the drawing temperature. Annealing of the drawn fibers at an elevated temperature higher than the melting temperature of homo crystal increased the stereocomplex content significantly. The fractions of the homo and the stereocomplex crystals strongly depended on the higher-order structure of the drawn fibers and the annealing temperature. 相似文献

Pure bacterial homo poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) fibers were prepared by melt spinning, followed by cold-drawing in an amorphous state at a temperature just above its glass transition temperature. Cold drawn fibers obtained were further drawn at higher temperatures, followed by annealing at various temperatures under tension. Relations among the processing conditions, higher order structures and mechanical properties were investigated using wide- and small-angle X-ray diffractions (WAXD and SAXD, respectively), birefringence, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and tensile measurements. PHB has two different crystalline forms, 21 helix conformation (α-form) and planar zigzag conformation (β-form). A single broad reflection of β-form was detected even in a PHB fiber drawn once at a temperature just above its Tg immediately after quenching and it tended to be stronger after 2nd drawing at higher temperatures. Annealing under low temperature and high tension facilitates the occurrence of β-form. It is suggested that the β-form crystal is formed not only from the tie chains between α-form lamella, but also from completely free amorphous chains. Changes in the amount of two types of crystals were analyzed using the WAXD integrated intensity. Birefringence of these fibers shows negative and positive values, depending on process conditions. Getting enough quality sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle. Many people are tracking their sleep through mobile and wearable technology, together with contextual information that may influence sleep quality, like exercise, diet, and stress. However, there is limited support to help people make sense of this wealth of data, i.e., to explore the relationship between sleep data and contextual data. We strive to bridge this gap between sleep-tracking and sense-making through the design of SleepExplorer, a web-based tool that helps individuals understand sleep quality through multi-dimensional sleep structure and explore correlations between sleep data and contextual information. Based on a two-week field study with 12 participants, this paper offers a rich understanding on how technology can support sense-making on personal sleep data: SleepExplorer organizes a flux of sleep data into sleep structure, guides sleep-tracking activities, highlights connections between sleep and contributing factors, and supports individuals in taking actions. Rotations in the discrete plane are important for many applications such as image matching or construction of mosaic images. We suppose that a digital image A is transformed to another digital image B by a rotation. In the discrete plane, there are many angles giving the rotation from A to B, which we call admissible rotation angles from A to B. For such a set of admissible rotation angles, there exist two angles that achieve the lower and the upper bounds. To find those lower and upper bounds, we use hinge angles as used in Nouvel and Rémila [Incremental and transitive discrete rotations, in: R. Reulke, U. Eckardt, B. Flash, U. Knauer, K. Polthier (Eds.), Combinatorial Image Analysis, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, vol. 4040, Springer, Berlin, 2006, pp. 199-213]. A sequence of hinge angles is a set of particular angles determined by a digital image in the sense that any angle between two consecutive hinge angles gives the identical rotation of the digital image.
