We cloned the murine full-length cDNA encoding Ahch, the mouse homologue of DAX1 (DSS-AHC Region on Human X Chromosome, Gene1) which is the gene responsible for human X-linked adrenal hypoplasia congenita (AHC) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HH). Sequence analysis revealed that the murine and human cDNAs have 65% aa identity and 75% aa similarity overall. The cysteine residues in the putative DNA binding domain, which may interact with Zn2+ ions to form zinc fingers, are 100% conserved between the two species, indicating that the novel zinc-finger structures in DAX1 may be functional. In addition, mouse interspecific backcrosses show that the Ahch gene is closely linked to the glycerol kinase locus, GyK, on the mouse X chromosome, indicating that the order of the loci is conserved in this syntenic region between mouse and human. 相似文献

Stainless steel fibres in ABS plastic form a composite with an anisotropic resistivity. Samples are rectangular shapes with uniform thickness. By assuming two principal resistivities and by using van der Pauw's technique, we find

and hence fibre direction. Results for three sample geometries agree with the theoretical predictions of the fibre patterns and with X-ray data. Samples formed by a centre-sprue feed are the best for fabricating large, uniform samples, while samples with a large length-to-width ratio have the most uniform metal density and fibre orientation. Summary A systematic investigation of some 21 castor polyols as base materials for preparing urethane foams was carried out. Prepolymers
were prepared both from individual castor polyols and from mixtures of them with an anhydrous castor oil. Foams formed from
these prepolymers were checked for shrinkage on cure, density, and modulus.
From the wide range of results obtained it is evident that castor polyols can serve as effective urethane components. Aside
from serving as major polyols for reaction with di-isocyanates, they can also be used as modifying polyols a) to speed up
prepolymer preparation, b) to adjust prepolymer viscosity to any required degree, c) to minimize loss of modulus on humid
aging, and as cross-linking centers with negligible loss of foam modulus. Details covering the preparation of a nonshrinking,
semi-rigid, light-weight urethane foam based on an 85% anhydrous castor oil/15% epoxidized castor oil mix are outlined in
the article.

Plasmonic Nanoparticles as a Physically Unclonable Function for Responsive Anti‐Counterfeit Nanofingerprints 下载免费PDF全文
Far‐field scattering of randomly deposited Au nanoparticles (NPs) is demonstrated as a physically unclonable optical function for anti‐counterfeit applications in which the scattering patterns are easily produced yet impractical to replicate. Colloidal metal NPs are superb components for nanoscale labels owing to their small dimensions and intense far‐field scattering visible at wavelengths that depend on colloidal size, shape, composition, and their local environment. The feasibility of Au NP depositions as nanofingerprints is presented using a simple pattern matching algorithm. These NPs offer extended functionality as environmental sensors. Taking advantage of the local refractive index dependent scattering wavelengths of metal NPs, a detectable color change is also demonstrated from a nanofingerprint comprised of Au and Ag NPs when placed in media with different refractive index. The facile deposition method coupled with the intense scattering and optical response of metal NPs provides physically unclonable tags (nanofingerprints) with the ability to serve as tamper‐evident and aging labels. 相似文献

A detailed study on the leverage of high-f T transistors for advanced high-speed bipolar circuit applications is presented. It is shown that for the standard ECL (emitter-coupled logic) circuit, the leverage of high f T is limited by the passive resistors (emitter-follower resistor and collector load resistor) and wire delay, especially in the low-power regime. For the standard NTL (nonthreshold logic) circuit, the leverage is higher due to its front-end configuration and lower power supply value. It is estimated that there are 750,000 people each year who are intimately affected by suicide. Prominent among these are the family survivors and their family physician. This paper offers a time frame which divides the period following the suicide into three phases: Immediate (the first ten days after the suicide); Intermediate (after the first ten days through the first year); and Extended (from the first year until restitution occurs). It identifies the chief emotional reactions which occur in each phase, explores their psychodynamic origins, and proposes suggestions for appropriate management during each of the three periods. The goal of this plan of management is to enable the family physician to function in a supportive emphatic, and restorative manner for the post-suicide family. 相似文献
