Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr] with increased oleic acid is desirable to improve oxidative stability and functionality of soybean seed oil. Recently, soybean genotypes with high oleic acid (≥70 %) were developed by breeding programs. Efficient and effective identification of high oleic acid soybean genotypes using non-destructive near infrared reflectance (NIR) on whole seeds would greatly enhance progress in breeding programs. The objective of this study was to develop a calibration equation for NIR determination of high oleic acid from single soybean seeds. A total of 600 intact, single F2 seeds were scanned by NIR. Spectral data were collected between 400 and 2,500 nm at 2 nm intervals. The relationship between NIR spectral patterns of each soybean seed and its oleic acid content was examined. The best predicted equations for oleic acid were selected on the basis of minimizing the standard error of cross-validation and increasing the coefficient of determination. Validation demonstrated that the equations for determining total oleic acid and over 50 % oleic acid content had high predictive ability (r 2 = 0.91 and r 2 = 0.99, respectively). To validate the newly developed equation, F2 seeds from a different genetic background were tested. Again, high oleic acid from single soybean seeds was accurately predicted from various genetic backgrounds. Therefore, applying the calibration equations to NIR will be useful to rapidly and efficiently select high oleic acid soybean genotypes in breeding programs. 相似文献

Few-layer graphene (FLG) was investigated as an electrically-conductive interleaf layer for one-step electroplating and patterning of metal on nonconductive polymer substrates without using multiple and toxic pretreatment processes in traditional electroplating. An individual FLG (5–10 nm of thickness with 6.4% of oxygen content) was obtained by expanding graphite with microwave followed by exfoliating the expanded graphite with sonication in N-methyl-pyrrolidone. Stacking FLG in the in-plane direction, a robust FLG film was obtained by the vacuum-assisted filtering and drying methods, and transferred to a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate via an intermediate transfer to the water surface. The sheet resistance of the FLG film on the PET substrate was 0.9 kΩ/sq with a thickness of 80 nm and the root-mean-square roughness of 29 nm. In the electroplating of nickel on the FLG film, hemisphere-shape metal seeds appeared in the early stage of electroplating and they subsequently grew up to 200–480 nm, which became connected to form a continuous nickel layer. The thickness of the continuous nickel layer increased linearly with electroplating time. The developed electroplating method demonstrated its capability of selective patterning on nonconductive substrates using a simple masking technique. 相似文献

The concentration of nutrients in brown rice is mainly associated with embryo size. Various beneficial components have been purified from rice bran. Recently developed black waxy rice with a giant embryo (‘Milyang 263’, BGE), which is the ge t mutant of the GE gene, was selected and analyzed to produce high quality nutritional components. γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) content in BGE rice bran, one of the most important nutritional compounds in rice, showed a 10.6-fold increase (2.66±0.48 mg/g) compared to that of BGE brown rice (0.25±0.01 mg/g). In addition, brown rice and BGE rice bran showed enriched amylopectin (94.5±0.5 and 97.0±0.0%) and bioactive anthocyanin [Cy-3-G: 75.15±4.18 (brown rice), 82.97±0.81 (rice bran) and Pn-3-G: 1.52±0.50 (brown rice), 4.33±0.20 (rice bran); mg/100 g] contents. These results suggest that BGE rice bran can be used as an excellent raw material to efficiently produce high quality essential amino acids, cyanidin-3 glycoside-enriched anthocyanins, and GABA. 相似文献

The current research was the first to investigate coumarins and their cholinesterase inhibitory activities from Angelica dahurica roots. The ethanol extract of this species (100 μg/ml) possessed inhibitory effects against human acetylcholinesterase (hAChE) and butylcholinesterase (BChE) with IC50 values of 26.40 and 14.71 μg/ml, respectively. To evaluate the compounds responsible for these activities, the ethanol extract was chromatographed, which yielded ten coumarins, including isoimperatorin (1), imperatorin (2), senbyakangelicol (3), oxypeucedanin (4), byakangelicol (5), t-OMe-oxypeucedanin hydrate (6), t-OMe-byakangelicin (7), angelol H (8), byakangelicin (9), and oxypeucedanin hydrate (10). Among them, coumarin 5, 7, and 9 showed potent inhibition with IC50s of 46.3, 39.0, and 55.4 μM (hAChE) as well as 45.2, 25.6, and 42.4 μM (BChE), respectively. Moreover, their inhibition modes against two cholinesterases exhibited noncompetitive. The individual coumarin contents were remarkable differences, especially, oxypeucedanin (4) was the most predominant compound (8710.9 μg/g), representing approximately 55.0% of the total content. 相似文献

The present study investigated the effects of azuki bean (Vigna angularis) extract (VAE) on the progress of atopic dermatitis (AD)-like skin lesions in NC/Nga mice induced by 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene. The efficacy of VAE in NC/Nga mice was determined by measuring gross and histological skin lesions, serum IgE levels, eosinophil ratio in peripheral leucocytes, and mRNA expression levels of interleukin (IL)-4, tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interferon (IFN)-γ in splenocytes. Continuous ingestion of VAE inhibited the development of the AD-like skin lesions in a dose-dependent manner. In the VAE-treated mice, the numbers of mast cells in the skin, eosinophil ratio in peripheral leucocytes, relative mRNA expression of inflammatory cytokines in the spleen, and serum IgE levels were significantly reduced. Results suggest that VAE can inhibit the development of AD-like skin lesions in NC/Nga mice by regulating immune mediators and cells, and may be an effective alternative therapy for AD. 相似文献

The suction nozzle of a vacuum cleaner was modified to enhance the power performance and to reduce the airflow-induced acoustic
noise. The suction power efficiencies of the vacuum cleaner were measured for various nozzles: (1) original nozzle, (2) original
nozzle with modified trench height, (3) original nozzle with modified connecting chamber, and (4) a combination of (2) and
(3). In addition, the suction pressure and sound pressure level around the suction nozzle were measured to validate the reduction
of acoustic noise. The power efficiency and mean suction pressure increased when the trench height of the suction nozzle was
increased. This was attributed to the suppression of the flow separation in the suction channel. Modification of the connecting
chamber in the original nozzle, which had an abrupt contraction from a rectangular chamber into a circular pipe, into a smooth
converging contraction substantially improved the suction flow into the connecting pipe. When both modifications were applied
simultaneously, the resulting suction nozzle was more effective from the viewpoints of aerodynamic power increase and sound
