1,3,5‐Triglyceratetriazine [first tier (G1)] and tri(1,3,5‐triglycerate) triazine [second tier (G2)] dendrimers were prepared with 1,3,5‐trichlorotriazine and sodium glycerate in a 1 : 3 mass ratio in an ethanolic medium.G1 and G2 were amorphous, white, solid substances. Their structures were elucidated with IR, 1H‐NMR, and 13C‐NMR, and their thermal stability was studied with thermogravimetric analysis. The activation energy was calculated with the Freeman–Carroll model. Densities, viscosities, and surface tensions for 0.01–0.08 mol/kg aqueous solutions increased at 0.01 mol/kg for sodium glycerate, 1,3,5‐trichlorotriazine, 1,3,5‐triazine triglycerate chloride, G1, and G2. These values were measured at 298.15 K. The apparent molal volume, reduced viscosity, and inherent viscosity were calculated from the densities and viscosities, respectively. The data were regressed for the limiting densities, limiting apparent molal volumes, intrinsic viscosities, limiting inherent viscosities, and limiting surface tensions for solute–solvent interactions. The positive limiting apparent molal volume values were noted in the order of G2 > 1,3,5‐triazine triglycerate chloride > G1 > 1,3,5‐trichlorotriazine > sodium glycerate, with weaker hydrophilic intermolecular interactions of G2. The higher intrinsic viscosity and limiting inherent viscosity values for G2 implied stronger G2–H2O hydrophilic interactions, and the higher limiting apparent molal volume of G2 indicated slightly higher dynamic conformational changes in comparison with G1, with stronger structural activities. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The effect of electron beam irradiation on ethylene‐propylene terpolymer (EPDM) was investigated. A 50‐part oil‐extended EPDM with high termonomer (ENB) content (iodine number of base polymer) 19, was selected for this study. An increase in irradiation dose from 0 to 200 kGy resulted in increased crosslinking, measured by an increase in gel contents and better swelling resistance. The effect of the multifunctional monomer trimethylol propane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA) as a crosslink promoter was studied using IR spectroscopy. The IR studies revealed enhanced peak absorbances at 1725, 1257, and 1023 cm?1 as a result of the increased concentration of C = O and C‐O‐C groups and reduced absorbance at 1630 cm?1 due decreased concentration of C = C groups with TMPTMA level in the irradiated samples. The presence of TMPTMA increased the level of crosslinking at a given irradiation dose, which was manifested by improvement in tensile properties. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. It has been established that turning process on a lathe exhibits low dimensional chaos. This study reports the results of nonlinear time series analysis applied to sensor signals captured real time. The purpose of this chaos analysis is to differentiate three levels of flank wears on cutting tool inserts—fresh, partially worn and fully worn—utilizing the single value index extracted from the reconstructed chaotic attractor; the correlation dimension. The analysis reveals distinguishable dynamics of cutting characterized by different values for the dimension of the attractor when different quality tool inserts are used. This dependence can be effectively utilized as one of the indicators in tool condition monitoring in a lathe. This paper presents the experimental results and shows that tool vibration signals can transmit tool wear conditions reliably.  相似文献

Non-linear finite element analyses of structures (such as beams) involve construction of weak solutions for the governing equations. While a weak approach weakens the differentiability requirements of the so-called shape functions, the governing equations are only satisfied in an integral sense and not point-wise, or, even path-wise. Moreover, use of a finite mesh leads to a stiffening of the numerical model. While strong solutions obtained through some of the existing mesh-free collocation methods overcomes some of these lacunae to an extent, the quality of the numerical solutions would be considerably improved if the computational algorithm were able to faithfully reproduce (or approximate or preserve) certain geometrical features of the response surfaces or manifolds. This paper takes the first step towards realizing this objective and proposes a multi-step transversal linearization (MTL) technique for a class of non-linear boundary value problems, which are treated as conditionally dynamical systems. Numerical explorations are performed, to a limited extent, through applications to large deflection analyses of planar beams with or without plastic deformations.  相似文献

Elevated levels of Mucin-16 (MUC16) in conjunction with a high expression of truncated O-glycans is implicated in playing crucial roles in the malignancy of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). However, the mechanisms by which such aberrant glycoforms present on MUC16 itself promote an increased disease burden in PDAC are yet to be elucidated. This study demonstrates that the CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genetic deletion of MUC16 in PDAC cells decreases tumor cell migration. We found that MUC16 enhances tumor malignancy by activating the integrin-linked kinase and focal adhesion kinase (ILK/FAK)-signaling axis. These findings are especially noteworthy in truncated O-glycan (Tn and STn antigen)-expressing PDAC cells. Activation of these oncogenic-signaling pathways resulted in part from interactions between MUC16 and integrin complexes (α4β1), which showed a stronger association with aberrant glycoforms of MUC16. Using a monoclonal antibody to functionally hinder MUC16 significantly reduced the migratory cascades in our model. Together, these findings suggest that truncated O-glycan containing MUC16 exacerbates malignancy in PDAC by activating FAK signaling through specific interactions with α4 and β1 integrin complexes on cancer cell membranes. Targeting these aberrant glycoforms of MUC16 can aid in the development of a novel platform to study and treat metastatic pancreatic cancer.  相似文献

Accurate node localization in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is an essential for many networking protocols like clustering, routing, and network map building. The classical localization techniques such as multilateration and optimization‐based least square localization (OLSL) techniques estimate position of unknown node (UN) from the distance measured between all anchor nodes (ANs) and UNs. On the other hand, node localization using fixed terrestrial ANs suffers from poor localization accuracy because the ground to ground (GG) channel link is not reliable. By contrast, the mobile anchor deployed in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) provides high localization accuracy through reliable air to ground (AG) channel link. Still, the nonlinear distortion introduced in the wireless channel makes the distance measurement noisy. This noisy distance measurement also limits localization accuracy of classical localization techniques. Hence, the highly nonlinear artificial neural network (ANN) models such as multilayer perceptron (MLP) models can be applied effectively for node localization in UAV‐assisted WSNs. However, the MLP suffers from slow training speed, which limits its usage in real‐time applications. So, the extreme learning machine (ELM) is found to be a better alternative because it works on empirical error minimization theory, and its learning process requires only a single iteration. The detailed simulation analysis supports the proposed ELM localization scheme in terms of both localization accuracy and computational complexity.  相似文献

In this paper, an adaptive framework for audio retrieval in live teleconferencing environments with multiple participants is proposed. The framework uses a non reference anchor array (NRA) to capture the interfering speech sources, in addition to the primary array that captures the speech source of interest (SOI). A linearly constrained-minimum variance (LC-MV) beamformer is used herein such that the signal coming from the look direction is preserved while interferences coming from the non look direction are nulled. Additionally, the reverberant component of the speech acquired by this framework is removed by a novel method that uses the linear prediction (LP) residual cepstrum. This method does not require the computation of the acoustic impulse response (AIR) of the teleconferencing room and hence is computationally efficient. The NRA framework is therefore able to remove correlated noise coming from the direction of the SOI and also dereverberating the noise free signal. The performance of the proposed framework is evaluated by conducting experiments on clean speech acquisition from distant microphone arrays. Experiments on distant speech recognition are also conducted using the TIMIT and MONC databases. Experimental results obtained from the proposed framework indicate a reasonable improvement over correlation, subspace and standard minimum variance beamforming methods. The application of the framework in audio retrieval in a live teleconferencing environment with multiple participants is also discussed.  相似文献

Analytical model for the transconductance, cut off frequency, transit time and fringing capacitance of LDD MOSFETs is presented with a simple approach. The analysis is carried out considering the LDD device as a conventional MOSFET with a series resistance [Z.-H. Liu et al., Threshold voltage model for submicrometer MOSFETs. IEEE Trans Electron Devices 1993; ED-40: 86–94] and a simple closed form expressions for cut off frequency and transit time is obtained. The total gate capacitance, i.e. the geometric and fringing capacitance, is calculated for both LDD and non-LDD devices and lower fringing capacitance is reported in LDD devices. Lower cut-off frequencies and higher transit time are reported in LDD devices for the same channel length.  相似文献

Aluminium doped ZnO films have been developed by RF-magnetron sputtering at 350 °C substrate temperature on glass substrate and commercially available SnO2-coated glass substrate. The developed ZnO and SnO2/ZnO films can be used as the substrates of microcrystalline silicon based solar cell. The electrical, optical properties and surface morphologies of ZnO film and SnO2/ZnO bi-layer films have been investigated and they are compared with the commercially available SnO2-coated glass substrate. The resistivities of ZnO and SnO2 films are comparable (10−4 Ω-cm). Surface morphologies of different transparent conducting oxide coated substrates before and after H-plasma exposure were studied by scanning electron microscopy. The optical transmission of ZnO, SnO2/ZnO and SnO2 films are comparable and varies from 85 to 90% in the visible region. The optical transmission reduces drastically to less than 20% in SnO2 films and for ZnO film it remains almost unchanged after H-plasma exposure. For SnO2/ZnO film transmission decreases slightly but remains considerably high (80%). The performance of microcrystalline silicon solar cells fabricated on different transparent conducting oxides as substrates (ZnO/glass, SnO2/glass and ZnO/SnO2/glass double layer) is investigated in detail.  相似文献
