This paper proposes a model for dynamic pricing that combines knowledge of production capacity and existing commitments, reasoning about uncertainty and learning of market conditions in an attempt to optimise expected profits. In particular, the market conditions are represented as a set of probabilities over the success rate of product prices, and those prices are learned online as the market develops. The dynamic pricing model is integrated into a real-time supply chain management agent using the Trading Agent Competition Supply Chain Management game as a test framework. We evaluate the agent experimentally in competition with other supply chain agents, and demonstrate the benefits of incorporating more market data into the dynamic pricing mechanism. 相似文献

This paper1 considers a single product and a single stocking location production/inventory control problem given a non-stationary stochastic
demand. Under a widely-used control policy for this type of inventory system, the objective is to find the optimal number
of replenishments, their timings and their respective order-up-to-levels that meet customer demands to a required service
level. We extend a known CP approach for this problem using three cost-based filtering methods. Our approach can solve to
optimality instances of realistic size much more efficiently than previous approaches, often with no search effort at all.

Peg Solitaire is a well known puzzle, which can prove difficult despite its simple rules. Pegs are arranged on a board such that at least one ‘hole’ remains. By making draughts/checkers-like moves, pegs are gradually removed until no further moves are possible or some goal configuration is achieved. This paper considers the English variant, consisting of a board in a cross shape with 33 holes. Modelling Peg Solitaire via constraint or integer programming techniques presents a considerable challenge and is examined in detail. The merits of the resulting models are discussed and they are compared empirically. The sequential nature of the puzzle naturally conforms to a planning problem, hence we also present an experimental comparison with several leading AI planning systems. Other variants of the puzzle, such as ‘Fool's Solitaire’ and ‘Long-hop’ Solitaire are also considered. 相似文献

We have successfully developed, for the first time, a novel polymer-lipid hybrid nanocontainer with controlled permeability functionality. The nanocontainer is made by nanofabricating holes with desired dimensions in an impermeable polymer scaffold by focused ion beam drilling and sealing them with lipid bilayers containing remote-controlled pore-forming channel proteins. This system allows exchange of solutions only after channel activation at will to form temporary pores in the container. Potential applications are foreseen in bionanosensors, nanoreactors, nanomedicine, and triggered delivery. 相似文献

A simple and effective method is presented for the separation and preconcentration of Th(IV), Ti(IV), Fe(III), Pb(II) and Cr(III) by solid phase extraction on 2-nitroso-1-naphthol impregnated MCI GEL CHP20P resin prior to their inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometric determinations. The influence of analytical parameters including pH of the aqueous solution, flow rates of sample and eluent solutions and sample volume on the quantitative recoveries of analyte ions was investigated. Matrix effects caused by the presence of alkali, earth alkali and some metal ions in the analyzed solutions were investigated. The presented solid phase extraction method was applied to BCR-144R Sewage Sludge (domestic origin), BCR-141R Calcareous Loam Soil, NIST 1568a Rice Flour and NIST 1577b Bovine Liver certified reference materials (CRMs) for the determination of analyte ions and the results were in good agreement with the certified values. The separation procedure presented was also applied to the various natural water samples collected from Turkey with satisfactory results. 相似文献

A coprecipitation procedure has been established for chromium speciation in natural water samples. The procedure is based on the coprecipitation of Cr(III) on thulium hydroxide precipitate. After reduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) by using potassium iodide, the presented method was applied to the determination of the total chromium. The level of Cr(VI) is calculated by difference of total chromium and Cr(III) levels. The procedure was optimized for some analytical parameters including pH, sample volume, matrix effects, etc. The detection limits based on 3sigma criterion were 0.87 microg L(-1) for Cr(III) and 1.18 microg L(-1) for Cr(VI). The procedure presented was validated by the analysis of BCR-144R Sewage Sludge (domestic origin). The presented method was applied for the speciation of chromium in environmental sample with satisfactory results (recoveries>95%, R.S.D.s<10%). 相似文献

We correct some conclusions presented by Consonni and Marin (2007) on the performance of mean-field variational approximations to Bayesian inferences in the case of a simple probit model. We show that some of their presentations are misleading and thus their results do not fairly present the performance of such approximations in terms of point estimation under the specified model. 相似文献

Tensegrity systems are lightweight structures composed of cables and struts. The nonlinear behavior of tensegrity systems
is critical; therefore, the design of these types of structures is relatively complex. In the present study, a practical and
efficient approach for geometrical nonlinear analysis of tensegrity systems is proposed. The approach is based on the point
iterative method. Static equilibrium equations are given in nodes for subsystems, thus the maximum unknown displacement number
in each step is three. Pre-stress forces in the system are taken into account in a tangent stiffness matrix, while similar
calculations are carried out for each node in the system which has a minimum of one degree of freedom. In each iteration step,
the values found in previous steps are used. When it reaches permissible tolerance of calculation, final displacements and
internal forces are obtained. The structural behavior of the tensegrity systems were evaluated by the proposed method. The
results show that the method can be used effectively for tensegrity systems. 相似文献
