Behaviors of bubble(s) exposed to an ultrasonic vibration are focused. Size of the bubbles interested in the present study is of O(1 mm) in diameter. The bubbles were injected through the micro syringe to the test fluid (water or water/surfactant mixture) filled in the rectangular tank. Ultrasonic vibration was irradiated to the bubble(s) after the detachment of the bubble from the tip of the syringe; thus the bubbles were exposed to the periodic oscillation in rising the test fluid. The authors clearly detect radial and shape oscillations under the large-amplitude vibration by use of high-speed camera. Preferable mode number of the shape oscillation, and the transition process from the radial to the shape oscillation are discussed. 相似文献

Catalytic removal of NO was conducted under the condition of large excess O2 by using different kinds of metallosilicates having MFI structure. With coexistence of a low concentration of cetane, H-Fe-silicate, which had both acidity and redox property, exhibited the maximum performance among the catalysts tested at a fairly lower temperature range, around 350 °C, and the NO was totally converted. The clinical and electromyographic signs of the misdirection syndrome after oculomotor palsy are described. Besides the previously described findings we found an increase of intraocular pressure dependent on the direction of gaze. In three young patients (16-26 years), we were able to demonstrate an aberrant reinnervation of the ciliary muscle, which was responsible for an increasing myopia in adduction. The effect of acute hypoxia on the changes of plasma cortisol level and hippocampus NE level of cat during inhalation of 21%, 10.4% or 7.9% O2 were investigated. It was found that both 10.4% and 7.9% O2 inhalation caused a gradual increase in plasma cortisol level reaching a plateau in 30-45 min time. While the contents of NE in VHIP and DHIP showed significant decrease 30 min after hypoxia. The degree of both these changes are not related to the hypoxic level of the inhaled O2. The results show that acute hypoxic stress would induce some increase in plasma cortisol level and some decrease in hippocampus NE content. 相似文献

In stereo capture a stereogram of a crossed illusory figure pulls a texture bounded by the illusory contours to the same depth plane with the illusory figure. We investigated whether three-dimensionally curved and slanted illusory figures could capture a repeating background texture. According to results, stereoscopic capture was perceived when a disparate illusory contour was slanted provided that the period of the background texture was consistent with the three-dimensional geometry of the illusory surface. We suggest that stereo capture is actually induced by disparate rows of points defined by vertical cut-out sectors and the induced disparity spread is constrained by illusory contours and possible discrete matches of the background texture. 相似文献

This article discusses the human ability to detect, locate, or identify objects and their features using peripheral vision. The potential of peripheral vision is underused with user interfaces probably due to the limits of visual acuity. Peripheral preview can guide focused attention to informative locations, if the visual objects are large enough and otherwise within the limits of discrimination. Our experiments focused on the task of identifying an outlier and implicated another limiting factor, crowding, for integration of object features. The target object and the corresponding data dimension were located from an object display representation used for integrating multidimensional data. We measured performance on a peripheral vision task in terms of reaction times and eye movements. Subjects identified the target item from 480 alternatives within 100 ms. Therefore, the identification process would not slow down the natural gaze sequence and focused attention during monitoring and data mining tasks. 相似文献

Factorial design analyses and numerical optimization are performed to establish material compositions (wood flour content, particle size, and impact modifier content) and mechanical property relationships for PLA/wood flour composites. Numerical optimization produces two scenarios based on materials compositions to manufacture composites with similar mechanical properties as unfilled PLA. High wood flour and impact modifier contents are required for composites made with fine wood flour particles, whereas the formulation requires low wood flour content and excludes impact modifiers for composites with coarse wood flour particles. These optimization solutions are validated experimentally.
